i have lost all my old back up point. i know i have backed my phone up at lest three times since owning it and now i cant find them at all.. i just got a new phone and need to reset my photos and all i get is yesterday and it has nothing in it. but when i look into my account i see more than what is there or am i done for and should just call it a loss

If your new phone is running iOS 8.1 and you tried restoring your iCloud backup and the only available backup that was listed was yesterday, then there aren't any other backups to restore from. I'm not sure what you mean when you say "...when I look into my account is see more than what is there..." Where are you looking when you see this?

Typically iCloud and iTunes only save the latest backup. In reality, when you subsequently backup, the last backup is modified with the changes and you only have one backup. The except seems to be if you restore from backup it appears that that backup is retained.
Go to Settings>iCloud>Storage and Backup>Manage Storage and to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and see if more than one backup is listed.

Here's a better question. Why in the world did you put that statement in the loop in the first place, unless the variable 'sql' is modified within?

Restoring to an iCloud backup has to be done in the initial setup process. If you have any data on your iPod now that is not in the backup that you want to save you'll need to do that first. Then go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. You will then go through the setup screens as you did when the phone was new. When given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below). Be sure you are connected to wifi and your charger as this will take some time to finish.

If you make backups in iCloud, it stores your three last backups. Older backups are deleted and can't be recovered.

The lady at the end of the line, was very nice very accomodating and effortlesly proceeeded to de-subscribed me, and even asked, "Do you want a refund for this account" so make sure you make it clear you want a refund because otherwise they will simply stop future payments coming out. it is clear that customer services are very very well trained in handling what they know is happening every day, complaints and refunds, and they happily oblige, lets face it the number of us asking for our money back is few in comparison to the hundred and thousands who dont even know whats going on. This is a multi million dollar law suit waiting to happen, any one out there with the time and money to take this giant fraudster on will make a difference.- These fraudsters are pretty cleaver a couple of pounds from hundreds and thousands of people accross the world will make anyone a multi millionaire if not billionaire. They still make you go through hoops to get your money back- sending you an email, then you have to apply for your refund quoting the refence number they give you and it can take up to 7 days and maybe 48 hours to get the email from them, basically they hope you dont bother feeling happy that they agreed to refund you. Do note that the advisor's are so well trained that they will not argue with you, will not agree or disagree to anything you say, simply give you a reference number for the call and a reference number for the refund, thanking you all the way. How can I access old back up files?

I have a seagate back up drive where I pointed time machine to back up my files. I recently replaced my hard drive and was told I would be able to access the back up files to restore any old data I may want. I see the back ups but they are in a darker purple. I only have access to back ups on the external drive I have created since having the replacement drive installed. What is the purpose of backing up data if you can not get to it with another hard drive or computer?
Why is an easy concept such a difficult procedure. Once I point it to the old back ups it should not only see them, but be able to access them.
I have the old drive and other pages referred me to Backups.backedupd to manually get to the back up files. I can search and find backups but there is no folder backedupd. I also cannot find a complete name of the above. It is frustrating not to be able to find an answer to a fairly common question.

Obviously you don't want to make the old drive as active backup destination, but I have two TM drives, both connected (I switch between them for daily, weekly and such) and both show up as standard TM "green" icon on my desktop.

expir_period will not work when using a SAP agent for backup (backint).
for TSM, you cannot set an expiration date, but you can an expiration based on number of versions.

you need to set a value for MAX_VERSIONS in your init[SID].utl file. Then, you init[SID].bki file will keep a count for versionning.
if you use both brbackup and brarchive, I would adive you use mutiple UTL files... and put links to multiple BKI files by adapting parameter CONFIG_FILE in your UTL file.

I managed to transfer the music from 1 pc to 1 other pc (it is played perfectly on the other PC (Windows 7- pc) by the newly downloaded and installed iTunes, version 10.6.1.7). But I didn’t fix the transfer of the meta data (for example the rating). Does anyone know how to use (or import) your old playlists, etc..(= meta data) on the other PC? So, short: how to migrate the meta data from one pc to an other pc?
It's a pity that it seems not to be possible to import on the new pc e.g. the ratings!!!

Well, the level of pain you are about to experience will hinge on what level of backup you have of the phone. If none, you will soon have a blank, from-factory phone you will have to reconfigure from scratch.

You really should not remove any Time Machine backups using that or any other method.

How to Sync your Old iPhone Settings to a new iPhone (Text, Wallpaper, Icon

I have upgraded from a 4gb to an 8gb and then to a 16gb iPhone. Today I purchased the new 3G 16gb iPhone and have transferred all of my information (including Text Messages) to my new iPhone.
What they tell you in the store is to just plug in your phone and hit sync. That doesn't give you everything. To get everything from your old phone to your new one, just follow these steps:
1) Sync your old iPhone (when finished, unplug it)
2) Plug in the new iPhone
3) Ask to "Restore" (this may bomb out but just restart the restore and it should work)
4) After #3 above, the system will ask you if you want to resync from your new iPhone. DO NOT USE THAT OPTION) Instead, choose from the drop down selection Your Old iPhone Backup)
5) Let it run. When completed, you will only have your system changes (Wallpaper, icons, text messages, etc.)
6) Now sync your iPhone to your iTunes (remember that you will have to reselect your playlists, movies, etc.)
You should now have the new iPhone with all your old iPhone's information

Tap Settings / iTunes & App Stores, then tap the Apple ID signed in. Sign out of the current Apple ID account and then sign in with another account or create a new Apple ID http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2731?viewlocale=en_US
Go to settings/facetime and tap the ID there and log out and log in with new ID.
Go to settings/messages and turn off imessages wait 30 seconds and turn it back on, go to “receive messages at” tap on the ID there, sign out and sign in with new ID.
Go to settings/icloud and delete the account and when prompted select “keep information on your device” then turn it back on with the new ID.
To edit account information tap Settings / iTunes & App Stores / Apple ID: / View Apple ID
To change your iTunes Store country, sign in to the account for the iTunes Store region you would like to use, tap Settings/iTunes & App Store/Apple ID/View Apple ID/Country/Region
