I have lost my ipod touch that is still on ios4 so it hasnt been updated im thinking its still in the house but Im thinking it may have fell out my bag while ive been out with my friends but I dont remember putting it in my bag what should I do ?

Find My iPod wouldn't help you find your iPod in your house even if it were available. Find My iPod would only locate the WiFi router, not the iPod itself. If you have some sort of service on the iPod that makes a noise when a message arrives, such as email, a messaging app, etc. you can try sending a message to yourself and see if perhaps the arrival sound helps you locate the iPod.
Otherwise you will just have to look for it.

If the sleep/wake button doesn't work use the home button and if the home button doesn't work it's the other way around, however if both of them don't work charge it with your connector connected with your computer or wall socket and it will turn on. Hope this helps.

I have a second hand ipod touch 2nd generation using ios 4.2.1, this is my first mobile apple device and I want to read up on it this weekend but the guides seem to be for devices running ios3 on 2nd gen or 4.3 on 3rd+ gen, none for 2nd gen with ios4. is there one i haven't found or should I read the ios3 guide then the ios 4.3 guide?

I recently got an ipod touch that was reset before being given to me. It wouldn't connect to iTunes or the computer but would still charge in the USB port. I updated iTunes and tried doing a soft reset holding down home and sleep. Then I realized on the screen that says "connect to iTunes", on the top right it would say "iPod" and in the middle it would show a little lock symbol. I was told this ment it was disabled and that's why it wouldn't work. But how would I restore it or reset it if I cannot get passed the connect to itunes screen and it wont connect to the computer. If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I have a 3rd generation iPod touch 32gb and it will not turn off, nor will it charge. Plugging in to my computer, iTunes does not even detected. Even if I leave it to charge, it does not detect it. Can I sync the iPod touch to the MacBook while I am logged on to my user account and iTunes? Or does he have to sync under his own log-in account?
I'd like to be able to share the apps that I have already purchased... I know they go to my iPhone and iPad within my MobileMe account just fine, but I wasn't sure if getting another iPod touch with a different email within our Family Pack would be allowed to share the apps.

That should work, just don't synch the email account with your account, set it up manually on the iPod Touch.
