How to fire the query: "IsuOrderItemQuery"

Hi Experts,
I am trying to fire the query "IsuOrderItemQuery" by giving the BUPA_NUMBER as the input value. For this I have used the method CL_CRM_BOL_QUERY_SERVICE->GET_QUERY_RESULT but i am not able to get the result and i am not able to get any child relations. When I look from BOL browser for the same orderitemquery by giving the BP it is working fine. Can anybody throw some light on this issue to read the childnodes by triggering the "IsuOrderItemQuey".

all applications are routed through a login page...
so if we have a url like www.abc.com/appA/login?param1=A&param2=B , the query string must be passed onto a servlet(which is invoked before the login page is displayed)..the servlet must process the query string and then should pass all those values(as hidden values) to the login jsp..then user enters username and pswd, then there should be another servlet which takes all the hidden values of jsp and also username and pswd, authenticates the user and sends the control back to that particular application along with the hidden values...
so i need help on how to parse the query string from the original url in the servlet, pass it out to jsp, and then pass it back to the servlet and back to the original application...damnn...any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks

ok..this is the situation...Sounds like you have a bad design on your hands.
You're going to send passwords in a GET request as clear text? Nice security there.
Why not start with basic security and work your way up?

first its all based on the design of the database, universe and the report.
at the universe Level, you have to check your Contexts very well to get the optimal performance of the universe and also your joins, keep your joins with key fields, will give you the best performance.
at the report level, try to make the reports dynamic as much as you can, (Parameters) and so on.
and when you create a paremeter try to get it match with the key fields in the database.

Hope u have reached Screen painter interface,
1. Click 'Add Grid' from tool bar.
2. Go to 'Collections' tab in 'Properties' window.
3. Choose 'Data Tables' from the Drop down list.
4. Click 'New' found at the bottom of the Properties Window(same window)
5. U'll find the place to insert ur query.
6. U can rename the table name from 'DT_0'
7. Choose type as 'Query'
8. Clear content from box 'Query'
9. Enter ur query there. Dont forget to Click 'SET'
10. Go to Preview option from tool bar.
now ur query will be displayed as table format.
Note: First try with simple query b4 going for linking option.

you can use Live office, or query as a webservice if you are getting data from universe
if you're getting data from SAP BI query and you have a java stack on your netweaver then you can get the data directly using sap bi connector in xcelsius.

How to Automate the Query Search Upon Return to the Calling Form?

Could you please share with me how to make the Query Search executed automatically each time, when database table is updated, upon return to the “Calling Form” (i.e. FormA in this posting) from the “Called Form” (i.e. FormB from here on)?
I have FormA call_form to FormB. FormB may return to FormA. FormA allows users to enter the Query parameters and perform query Search to the database table with a list of search results afterward; whereas FormB allows users to add or delete the same database table records. Both form images are as follows:

FormA call_form to FormB by clicking PB “Daily Work Report” (see circled PB "Daily Work Report" in the above image.)

FormB EXIT_FORM and returns to FormA (see circled PB "DWR Selection" in above image).
Currently, our users must press the PB “Search” on FormA each time to refresh the Query “Search” results after returning to FormA, and they request to have the "Search" done automatically/programmatically upon return to FormA each time when the database table is updated.
If you have programming code on this and are willing to share or if you have any suggestion or thoughts on this, it would be most greatly appreciated.

*Now to get the information "BEx Web Application Query String". open the SAP Log on and open the BW Browser, double click any of the queries available, this will open a window and select the Query String ( it should be between & to end &).*
Explain the above point with more detail like how will open the bw browser what is the step for that?where the query string will available in BW browser.

       Iam new to the sap queries(SQ01,SQ02), some queries already created.
      now i want to do some modification, my problem is i am not able to find the query name.
      I know the infoset name, can you tell me how to find the query name using the infoset name, is ther any table for this.
i tried in sq01 also, but its confusion, pls advice me on this.

SQ02 --> go to --> Query Directory..
from there you can get all the queries belong to a Infoset.

I just need to get the query of a report.
You know that a report is buld up on a sql query.I just want to know how to get that query starting by a java ReportClientDocument.
And I found reportClientDoc.getDatabaseController().getDatabase() to fetch DataBase object .After that I do not know the exact sequence of methods for fetch the query

Use alias for tables in SELECT clause. Try it.

Hi all,
I am having a table with millions of records and the query is taking hours
time. How to tune the query apart from doing the following things.
1. Creating or Deleting indexes.
2. Using Bind variables.
3. Using Hints.
4. Updating the Statitics regurarly.
Actually, i have asked this question in interview how to tune the query.
I told him the above 4 things. Then he told, these are not working, then
how you will tune this query.

The error message is due to some special char in condition.
Please check the table RSZRANGE in SE16 for your query.Check either LOW or HIGH
The range defined here could be problematic.For values which should indicate most likely minus infinity, the new Query Desginer has a special handling. So here is the problem only how to open such query. We can offer 2 different fast solutions:
1. Convert this query back to 3.x format using report COMPONENT_RESTORE and open it in Query Designer 3.x
Change the definition of the exception from -1E+value to any number and save the query.
Open the same query in Query Desginer 2004s and return the minus infinity using '#' sign. Save the query.
2.Select this record directly the table RSZRANGE using SE16
Find the field low or high..change it to #.
Save the record and try to open this query once again using Query Desginer 2004s. It will be possible and the exception will be working in the range from minus infinity to your number.

How to fire sql query conditionally?

I want a select query to fire conditionally.
for example
I want this:
select case when &a>2 then
select 2 from dual
else when &a<2 then
select 3 from dual
end
from dual;
when variable a is greater than 2 then "select 2 from dual" query will fire
and when variable a is less than 2 the "select 3 from dual " query will fire.
how to do this?

SQL is not a conditionally executing language. You consruct a whole query and you execute a whole query.
Sure, you could get the query to call functions, or a pipelined function etc. which could use PL code to conditionally execute some query and return data appropriately, but that's introducing seemingly unnecessary context switching.
So what is the actual problem that you are trying to solve? Rather than ask how to fix a clearly broken solution, it's better you explain what you are trying to achieve in the first place.
