How to fit the data in Oracle SPOOL FIle

Hi all,
Word_rapped ,Formatted etc etc dif every thing ...
Some columns data arent fitting in to the page.What I want to fit the ouput of query in to one page (A4).
is there any SPOOL command to fit

I'a affraid that you have to use more than one command to do it,
set pagesize 72 --- set how many lines will be on a page
set linesize 80 ---- set howmany character will be in one line
column columnName fromat a20 -- sets that column with columnName will be 20 character wide
set heading on | off - set heading on and off
You have to experiment a little bit , you can find more formating comands in documentation

1. How to link between Legacy system(ORACLE APPS) and SAP ?
        If you have SAP PI in place then you can interact with oracle database tables directly from PI and then data can be posted to SAP transactions through IDocs/BAPIs.
        If you did not have SAP PI still you can do JDBC connection directly from ABAP program. Not sure about the exact steps check in forum.
2. How to migrate the data from Oracle tables to SAP directly, instead of loading the flat files(.txt, .xls) ?
        If you want to directly post the data SAP transactions (I hope not directly to SAP tables) then connection needs to establish through ABAP program or Via. PI.

How to copy the Data From Oracle Table To SAP Table

We need to copy the data from Oracle Database Table to SAP Table. The data should be updated simultaneously in both tables . Should I write a program that contains the native sql statement like EXEC SQL PERFORMING WRITE,....

Hi,
since you posted this question in the DB2 forum I assume that you are using a DB2 database for your SAP system.
To access a table from a legacy ORACLE database you may use the DBSL multiconnect feature. I.e. you open a secondary connecction in the SAP system to your ORALE database. You can then ready the data from the ORACLE database into an ABAP internal table and insert it afterwards into the DB2 table on the main connection.
Another way to access an ORACLE table from a DB2 database is to use the DB2 federated database feature. This requires a little bit more DB2 skill. With this feature you can make the ORACLE table visible within the DB2 database. To copy data you can then simply use a "INSERT ... SELECT" statement.

Where here the .txt file like for eg,spooler.txt is in the server and from there it will come to my client machine what i have to do is to take that .txt file and store the datas of the .txt file
in a JTable.This is what i want.So pls. do help and provide the code as well.I will be thankful.Since i am involved in a project which involves this it is Urgent.

You can't just display data from a text file in a JTable. You have you understand the structure of the data so that you can parse the data and create a table model that can access the data in a row/column format. Here is an example of a simple program that does this:

hey guys
i installed the sqlite and sqlite-net as requested in other answers i found, changed to x86, and add the .db3 file in my project.
but the problem is how to retrive the data that already in the file( i am not creating any table or data in the app, just read)
all the answer i found is to create a table first and then read the table, i tried to skip the step of creating a table, and read from the table directly, but failed with " no such table", by the way, i set the property of the .db3 file as "content",
"copy if newer"

From your description, you want to read data from available sqlite file. When you add the sqlite file into your project, you need to change the sqlite file build action to content. After deploying to device, the sqlite file is located in installation folder,
you need to copy that file into storage folder before reading data. Please try the following code snippets.

How to export the data to a excel file from RSA3?

Hi experts,
1.I am trying to save the RSA (SRM extractor) to excel spread sheet to compare SRM data with BI data. When i run the the transaction RSA3 it just showed me 10 different data packets. How to export the data to excel spread sheet for reconciliation?
2. Does any body know if the stepup tables exist for SRM extractors?

Hello Sharat,
You have two options of saving data to excel sheet:
Step 1:
Goto RSA3, change the "Data Records / Calls" to 1000 and then execute. This way instead of 10 different packets you will get one packet.
Step2:
Click on the list button, open the packet by double clicking it. You will see all the data on your screen.
Step3:
Goto System -> List -> Save - > Local File -> Spreadsheet and give some name for your xls file.

By typing code at the keyboard... but presumably you meant to ask what code you should type.
To get data out of Excel there are a few alternatives. The Google keywords I would use to find them are "java excel". I use Apache POI but there are other possibilities, I believe. As for getting the data into MySQL once you have extracted it from Excel, you would use JDBC. But you already knew that, didn't you? You did find the JDBC forum.
In general it's better to ask a specific question on a forum. If you don't have a clue (which is the way we all start out) then just telling people that isn't going to be helpful. The best you're going to get is links to tutorials, which you could perfectly well have found for yourself by simple web searches.

Hi, you can even use control technology. There are several example programs how to export data to excel. Please go to transaction SE80. Choose enviroment->examples -> control examples. Take a look at office integration.

How to read the 'date modified' of a file?

I need to read the date that a file was modified so I can see
if it has been updated. The file is just a text file in the same
directory as my swf file.
I tried using FLfile.getModificationDate, but it doesn't seem
to work. Every way I write the code, I get no response. It does not
seem to find the file. I even tried using the FLfile.write as a
test, without luck. I searched and the FLfile.dll is on my machine,
but I wonder if I have to somehow let the flash file know its
there.
I also tried using FileReference.modificationDate, but from
what I have come to understand, I need to populate the
FileReference object and that populating the FileReference object
involves uploading or downloading the file. I'm not up or
downloading the file, I just need to know if it has been updated by
other software. Otherwise, how do I populate the FileReference
object. Can it check on dates without up or downloading?
Does anyone have an idea of the best way to read the date
that the file was modified?

file)

How to compare the data in a highscore file(.txt) for a game?

As mention above,i would like to check the highscore everytime the game has finished,and updates it, what classes should be used? FileReader, FileWriter, or Properties? If so, how the codes is likely to be? Thanks a lot.

I would discourage you from using a plain old text file to save your high scores in. The obvious reason being is that your little brother can just edit the file in notepad, then run to you and taunt, "I've got the highest score, nyah nyah nyah!"
If you must do it, I would use PrintWriter and simply print out each line as needed. Reading the lines back into the game is only a tad more difficult, but you can simply read in each line as a String, and store each String in an array, or a Vector if you don't know how many high scores you will have.
In the long run, you should create a serializable object that contains either the Vector or the Array of scores and instruct the object to save itself or load itself as needed. This is essentially how Properties work except you have more control over the internal data format.
On second thought, Properties would work just fine, but you cannot guarantee that the scores will be saved in a particular order - you would have to add an additional routine to read in each Property (specifically, each name/score pair) and then sort them. Once you do that, there's no real difference between a Properties file and rolling your own Serializable array.

SQL*Plus - how to suppress the SQL in a spool file

This is my SQL*Plus script. I thought I had solved the problem, but it is back now and I don't know what I am missing. But I don't want the query at the top of the file.

It turns out when I run the script with the @ or Start with the file name, there is no SQL put out to the file. But when I just copy the text out of the file and run it at the prompt, the SQL appears in the output file. In reference to the -SILENT, I put that in after the MARKUP statement and got an error. Maybe I don't know where that goes. And I am not sure why there is a difference if it is run as a script or just pasted to the buffer. At least it should be the same in the output file, I would think.
