That's not a problem with OSX Lion, it is an issue with that particular website (we've seen this before). It's not working with the Mac very well, and there's nothing you can do about it. Sorry.

How do I Overcome Download Errors for Apps?

Hello!
I tried downloading Illustrator through the Creative Cloud, but two errors came up that prevented the download. One says that the "third party payload installer vcredist_x86.exe failed with exit code: -2147024546." The other error says it "failed to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable Package (x86)" and follows with what appears to be an unusually long web address. What can I do next time to overcome these issues and successfully download the app?

Thank you! I looked around a little bit and discovered this. I downloaded what I found here:http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679
It looks like it installed and everything; when I go to click on the downloaded file though, it just says "Modify Setup" and I have the option to repair it, uninstall it, or close it. I've hit repair a few times and it just asks to restart the computer. Is this the correct download? If so, how do I confirm that it's working?

Update and Download Error for iTunes

iTunes had an automatic update today, and in the process, it reported some sort of error and said it couldn't complete the update. Tonight I tried to open iTunes, and it wouldn't open. It said that it was missing a file (unfortunately I didn't write down the name of the file it said was missing). I tried installing iTunes again, but it reached an error in the installation process when it was "Starting Services". The error said, "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient priveleges to start system services." My choices are to Abort, Retry, or Ignore. I aborted and unistalled iTunes entirely from my computer. When I tried to install again, the same error came up. Ignoring the error leads to no change, and retrying brings the same error again.
What can I do to get my iTunes back?? Thanks!

Great suggestion! I tried this out, but unfortunately, I just not a new error. Now it says, "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows Error 126)". I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and I got the same thing...

I updated to iOS 5.0.1 days ago and didn't receive that notification until just now...

By way of experiment, let's first try specifically choosing a library for iTunes to open.
Quit iTunes if that error message is showing. Now hold down your Shift key, and then open iTunes. (Keep holding down the shift key while iTunes is opening.)
You should see a dialog asking you if you want to choose or create a library, as per the following screenshot:
Click "Choose Library ..."
You should now see a screen like the following screenshot:
Select the "iTunes Library.itl" file (shown circled in the screenshot) and click "Open".
