irestores have a iPod touch that's either 2nd generation or 3rd generation and when I plug it up to iTunes it says that it has detected a iPod in recovery mode so I click restore then it says restore and update so I do that after it finishes the process of restoring it would say keep iPod plugged to iTunes so I did and wen the apple logo shows up it goes back to the connect to iTunes screen so I do the process all over agin and it does the same thing over and over. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME I'm in desperate need of HELP I don't know the version it's on right now but it says it will update to IOS 5.1.1

Hello, do a Get Info on it in the Foiinder, what Rights do you have?
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when trying bto open it.

Are you sure you have a shuffle? There is no "repeat" setting on a shuffle, unlike other iPods, such as the nano.

In iTunes, select the iPod in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES. Over to the right, go to the Summary tab.
There should be a checkbox that says Enable disk use. Check it and Apply the change. It should now appear in Windows, when the iPod is connected.
NOTE: When Disk Use is enable, you have to eject the iPod (in iTunes) before physically disconnecting it from computer.
