How to fix an app that won't open??

I am trying to download an app called Printer Pro desktop so that I can print from my iPad, however the app will not open. When I go to open it from the App folder it has a circle with a line through it. Any ideas how I can fix this??

Hello, do a Get Info on it in the Foiinder, what Rights do you have?
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when trying bto open it.

How do you reinstall an app that won't open

I downloaded and installed Dragon Express for my Macbook Pro. It shows being installed but it won't open when I click on it. Any suggestions? I thought I might uninstall it and reinstall it but when you go to the App Store it shows that's it's been installed and it doesn't give you the option to install it again.

Clearing Display in Console worked the first time but failed thereafter as the app failed to launch on the second and subsequent times.
I still want to know how to uninstall an app and then reinstall it. You would think this would be an obvious option but I don't see it.

How to fix audible files that won't sync

Apple repaired my computer. New motherboard and all. Now my iPhone 4s won't sync certain files. iTunes help is horrid and they don't have a phone number. Anyone know how to fix this issue shown below. We're on our own iTunes isn't going to help. And BTW before the repair I had no issues. So now I don't have a clue what to do and I was right in the middle of listening to a book. This isn't the first time iTunes has given me fits either.
I won't dare install and use my new iPhone 5s. Might just return it. What a mess.
Some of the Audible files in the iTunes library were not copied to the iPhone “charlie’s iPhone” because you are not authorized to play them on this computer.

How to reset an app that won't update?

I have four apps that started the update process but could not finish for some reason. The status is "installing" but the label is grayed out. They are not updating not can I reset the status. They seem to be stuck. How to reset this?

Sign out of iTunes
Go to App Store
Select non responding app
That will take you to app open screen
Select app that will take you to it's location
Select it
Go back to app open screen and select update
I think that is it, I didn't write it down

How do I fix a project that won't open?

I have a few Final Cut Pro X projects that won't appear in the Project Library.

I'm on FCP X 10.0.9 running on OS X 10.8.5.
A few facts:
I beleive the .fcpproject file is corrupt somehow.
I have projects named "Draw_01" through "Draw_13", but all the projects after "Draw_10" don't show up.
Since each new project began as a duplicate of the last, I believe that some sort of corruption must have happened when I created Draw_11.
I'm pretty sure that it's not related to the names themselves since I played around with renaming working and non-working projects with no change.
Each time FCP X opens now, it asks to update projects to the latest version. I say Okay and yet next time I open the program it asks again.
I see no error messages. I only notice that the projects in question don't show up.
The Old Version folder on the problem projects are filled with over 126 files wheras the working projects only have 4 or 5.
Almost all of those 126 Old Versions files are the same size (8.1 MB) with the same date (Oct 10, 2012 9:11 PM).
And a new one is created every time FCP opens up and tries to update the version of said project. And it has the same date and size.
I've tried removing everything in the project folder and leaving only the .fcpproject file, to no avail.

Yes, I tried the Backup and I tried different projects from the Old Versions folder, to no avail.
As long as the file was the same size (8.1 MB) and therefore probably the same content, it wouldn't open. I tried an earlier project from the Old Versions folder that was smaller and it successfully opened. But of course it was missing most of the changes to the edit.
Obviously, at one point these all worked in a previous version of of FCP X, but along the way, maybe as it got converted by FCP for new versions, something got corrupted.

i play a game called happy fish. there was an update so I clicked to do the update. Once the update was done, the icon for the app was missing. It still lists in the purchased and updated apps. It doesn't list in the notifications area now. If you go to the purchased apps, it shows the open button. Nothing happens if I tap it. I Can't remove it or reinstall it since it won't respond. I tried to sync it with my computer but the sync keeps adding it from iPad to the computer. Any idea what I can do to restore the app so I can keep playing this game?

TS1702 After downloading iOS7, I have an app that won't open and won't delete. How can I get rid of it?

I have tried re-downloading, but don't believe the app is available as I cannot find it.

Recently updated to ios7 and then updated some apps. A few of them have, theoretically, updated. I can only open them from the App Store by clicking open (where it used to say install and now it says open). However, the actual app on the home screens are shaded and say "Waiting..." as if they are still currently downloading. It has been two days. I tried installing a free app (as some have suggested), this did not work. I tried turning phone on and off. I cannot delete these apps form my phone because when you hold down to get the jiggly apps and then the little "x" to click to close/delete the app, these apps don't have the "x."
Any thoughts/suggestions??

How to fix a iPod that won't restore

irestores have a iPod touch that's either 2nd generation or 3rd generation and when I plug it up to iTunes it says that it has detected a iPod in recovery mode so I click restore then it says restore and update so I do that after it finishes the process of restoring it would say keep iPod plugged to iTunes so I did and wen the apple logo shows up it goes back to the connect to iTunes screen so I do the process all over agin and it does the same thing over and over. If you are getting an 'invalid security code' message then is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorizations have the correct information on file.
And/or try contacting iTunes support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Express Lane, then iTunes > iTunes Store

How do you know they won't run in Yosemite? You're not trying to fiddle with stuff in your backup from the Finder, are you? If so you are likely to render that backup unusable.
WHen when you restore them from your backup, they should be updateable.

I've reinstalled lion os 10.7.5 and got the app store app back.
Even though iPhoto etc are purchased by me in app store, theres no way they'll download.

1 - the restore disks that came with the computer - if it came with CDs and you do not know where they are then contact Apple to see if they can be replaced
or
2 - the iLife DVD that you purchased
or
3 - the app store - log in under the Apple id used to purchase the software or to set up the computer - look under purchases - you might have to unhide or accept the Application first
