How to fix bonjour.msi

I'm trying to update my itunes and i cant because of bonjour.msi
What can i do?

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another install. Does it go through this time?

  • How can I uninstall iTunes without Bonjour.msi?

    As of about 2 months ago, I suddenly couldn't update iTunes. I'm getting a Bonjour.msi error that I cannot resolve. I've searched high and low for how to fix this and cannot seem to find anything that works. The issue with this stupid Bonjour error is that it ALSO prevents me from UN-Installing iTunes... so I can't even scrap it and start over. It's a vicious circle! I'm stuck with version 10.2.2.12 that I cannot upgrade nor uninstall.
    The exact error is:
    "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
    Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'Bonjour.msi' in the box below."
    And then there's a path dropdown....
    HELP!! I don't know what to do.  I think at this point, maybe it'd be easier to just completely uninstall iTunes and start over, as opposed to trying to find bounjour.msi and add it/update it...? I dunno.
    Thanks,
    Jennifer

    If iTunes is installed, you'll be able to uninstall it using "Programs and Features" found in Control Panel

    Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
    Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
    If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
    Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove".
    Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
    (If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

    I can't install itunes upgrade because it says the path bonjour .msi is missing. Help please. I have already did a registry fix and clean which helped with quicktime and itunes msi error but not bonjour. I can't uninstall bonjour or delete its files from c drive

    Like you I had the same problem updating to iTunes 10.5. I happened to read another post on this forum on the same problem and with some simple advise I was able to update to 10.5. Apparantely the 'Apple software update' program is causing the problem. I removed it by downloading a program called 'Windows Install CleanUp Utility' from softpedia.com. Installed the program and scrolled down to apple software update and clicked 'remove'. Then I installed itunes 10.5. I could not believe how easy it was! Now I can finally update to IOS 5 for my iphone 4.

    The missing apps could have been done by setting the Restrictions that can hid those apps. If the backup was made with those retrictions set the the Restrictions are also restored.

    I'm also having issues with multiple emails..

    For Flash, could you try downloading the "full" installers from this page:
    https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
    In the first table, there are two rows for Windows: one for the ActiveX control for IE, and one for the plugin for Firefox. You might want to grab both. And try the .msi files instead of the .exe files to see whether those work better.
    Will either of those install?
    It's odd that on a newly rebuilt system your More System Details shows that you have a user.js file, which is an optional settings files used to override your previous session settings. This is not part of the standard Firefox installation, so if you did not create that file yourself, you may want to investigate or delete it. This article has more information on that: [[How to fix preferences that won't save]].

  • Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.5 Install Error:  "Error applying transforms please ensure specified transform paths are valid".  Any ideas on how to fix this?

    I had Acrobat Standard 9.5 on a laptop that broke.  Adobe Acrobat Standard is paid for and all I need. I had to get a new PC (Windows 8.1) and I did downloaded Standard 9.5 but when I went to install it the installer gave me an “Error applying transforms please ensure specified transform paths are valid”.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Rahul,
    No error numbers other than the message I mentioned previously.
    I tried the transforms repair and it reported no Acrobat product (correct, none yet installed) or no administrative privileges (I am the administrator and have done previous administrative actions).
    When I unzip the Acrobat file this is what is in the setup ini file:
    [Startup]
    RequireOS=Windows XP
    RequireMSI=3.0
    RequireIE=6.0.2600.0

    MinorVersion=1
    ServicePackMajor=2
    [MSI Updater]

    Thoughts?

    I get a message stating MSVCR80.dll is missing. How to fix? I have removed and re-installed multiple times.

    Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
    Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
    Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
    The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
    Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.
