How to fix iPad sudden shut down, reboot loop?

Dear all,
I have an ipad 3 bought six months ago, lately in the past 2 weeks, i have noticed clearly when i try to open google earth application (or some other apps) but mostly testing it with google earth, the app suddenly freezes for less than a second screen goes black then flashes white and black screen for few seconds then reboots to the apple logo, then black screen again then apple logo again and then the iPad starts normally! Also i have noticed, when charged in a wall, the adapter overheats and when ipad is in use, heating is noticed on the bottom left side of the device.
i've researched the net seen many results but nothing came successful to my device, i have tried, restoring, reseting, restoring from back up, entering recovery mode all that and nothing came successful!
I am somehow sensing a hardware problem.
Whoever wants to help, I kindly ask you to give an answer that is logical and please do not repeat any steps that i have mentioned above. please cooperate in a logical mature way.
Thank you

If anyone has faced this issue and was able to fix it, I am hoping from you to share your fix.
If no fix is there, so i can take it to be fixed since it is not under warranty, and wehre i live it will cost a lot for fixing

  • How I fixed my random shut down from 3rd party battery

So I bought an ebay battery after my original battery died. All went well, and I was in the process of calibrating this battery. As it was charging, it would get held up at 99% (although when I unplugged the power cord, the meter said 100%). After a while, it finally turned green and I was thrilled. Soon after reaching 100% and a green LED light, the computer shut off. I tried to turn it back on but it would shut down again before reaching my login screen, and sometimes after. I plugged in my old battery and used it with the power cord to see if I could find a fix....
I didn't really find anything to help me, so I just left the new battery out, and went to bed.
This morning I took the new battery, held down the button on the bottom ( the power indicator button or whatever) for 15 seconds, put the new battery back in, and started it up. After it started up, I closed the computer and it looked like it shut down again, however, when I opened it back up ( and pressed the power button), it resumed like the battery had been completely drained. After that, the battery started working normal again, and when I close it, wait, and open it, it just resumes as normal.
So, I don't know if this is a permanent fix, but it worked for me.
    Anybody have any thoughts?
    Thanks.

    Hi Bluey
Thank you for your post and offering your help to the users having the same problem. It makes sense, worth to have a try.

  • How can i fix my my iPad i downgraded it to 8.1.3 to 8.1.2 and when some error occured the iPad suddenly shut down and reopen and it only show the icon of iTunes and the connect symbol  please help urgently needed

Hi please help me i try to downgrade my iPad ios to 8.1.3 to 8.1.2 and an error occursd and can't open my iPad only the icon of iTunes and charger appeared please help

That means that it's gone into recovery mode - connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and reset it back to factory defaults.
Downgrading the iOS version isn't supported by Apple.

  • Is it normal for an ipad to shut down on its own?

the problem is my ipad suddenly shut down on its own having 70% of the battery charged and it would´t turn on again. i went for help to the mac service on my city, im from mexico, and the guy there just turned it on using the home button and the power button, and said it was normal, it happend to all ipads, iphones and ipods, i did not consider it normal, i own 2 ipads, 1 ipod touch, 1 iphone 3gs, 1 iphone 4, and i know other iphone users that have never had this problem, but the guy just said its normal. so i want to know of he told me the truth.

It happens occasionally- it's happened to me once (so far) and if you search these forums you will probably find a couple of threads a day from people who have had the same thing.

  • Hi, while listening to a song my iPad music shut down and I can't open it any more. Do you know how to fix this? iPad 2

Hi, while listening to a song my iPad music shut down and I can't open it any more. Do you know how to fix this?
    iPad 2

Try closing the Music app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Music app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Music app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Hi, while listening to a song my iPad music shut down and I can't open it any more. Do you know how to fix this?

Did you try quitting the Music app and then restart the iPad?
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

I was charging and updating my mini ipad last night when it suddenly shut down and will not turn on since then. What do I do to turn it on again?

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

  • I have ipad mini 2 updated to ios 7.1.2.  Now ipad keeps shutting down and rebooting to the apple logo. I factory reset and redownloaded software in recovery mode.  Still happening.  What else can I do?

I have ipad mini 32gb.  I updated to IOS 7.1.2. Since then ipad keeps shutting down and rebooting to the apple logo.  It happens so many times I cannot use the ipad.   I have tried factory reset and reinstalled software in recovery mode. Ipad is only 1 1/2 years old and in great condition.  Is there anything else I can do besides soend $200 to fix it?

Sounds like a hardware issue to me going by the CRC error you mentioned. I'd make a Genius Bar reservation (you'll need your Apple ID) if you have a nearby Apple Store and get it evaluated. The evaluation is free but repair/replacement could incur other charges.

Because there is something wrong with the iPad? Try restoring the device with iTunes. Start with that.
