hello i recently used itunes, but after a few minutes of use, it would have the 'itunes has stopped working' window come up. If anyone could help, it would be appreciated. Thank You and here is the report:

Running iTunes as Administrator fixed "iTunes has stopped working" error.

I have this problem with iTunes. Whenever I try to access the iTunes store, I get the Windows "iTunes has stopped working and needs to close" error. I am running Windows 8 64-bit.
If I run iTunes as Administrator by right clicking the iTunes icon and clicking "run as Administrator" I no longer experience the issue.

Try first to reset all Skype settings.
Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata% and then press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named “Skype”. Rename this folder to something different, e.g. Skype_old.
If you are on one of the latest Skype versions (>6.3), then do also this:
Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %temp%\skype and then press Enter or click the OK button. Delete the DbTemp folder.
Restart Skype.
N.B. If needed, you will still be able to re-establish your call and chat history. All data is still saved in the Skype_old folder.

When I try to edit song information in iTunes, I right-click on the song and click on Get Info...the message iTunes has stopped working and needs to close message will appear followed by iTunes has stopped working: A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available...I have tried uninstalling iTunes and deleting all its components or files on my pc and reinstalling...I have done this more than a "hundred" times but to no avail...Now I could not consolidate my Library, add important info on the songs, etc...I have searched forums including here but none from the suggestions worked.
I'm on Windows 7 54bit.

While syncing my I phone it gets to step six "optimizing " and gets almost to the end and I get a message that itunes has stopped working and has to close. it get to like 1074 of 1138 items to optimize when iTunes quits. Any suggestions on how to fix this

Same problem here! Moreover, for some reason, the pictures in my iPhone 3GS somehow have been divided into 2 folders, Photos and Medialibrary. And when I open iPhone as a folder through the explorer I can see only the Photos folder, but cannot see the Medialibrary folder which stores the photos taken before updating/upgrading the iPhone and getting separated folders!!! What the hack with all of this?!!! When I connect iPhone to PC it automatically opens iTunes and starts syncronizing it, but at the process of OPTIMIZING the photos (and according to the number of photos it shows, I see that it tries to syncronize that invisible Medialibrary folder) the process suddenly stops and error message pops out Tried the sync test, tried the button DEBUG in that pop out message, but NOTHING HELPS!!! Windows keeps giving me "itunes has stopped working" error message when I start itunes? How can i fix this?

After downloading the newest version, 10.6.1, whenever I open itunes I almost immediately get a "itunes has stopped working" error messsage, in which the only option is to hit the "close the program" button. Simply closing the error message closes the program as well. I am operated under windows XP with the latest updates (or so the updater tells me). It seems like its getting stuck trying to send me a new user agreement because dont you have to agree to one for every new update? It just can't seem to get past that point. Looks like itunes was still trying to communicate with my iphone and got confused when it couldnt find it. Found this in another post and it worked great.
Solution:
Make sure you are not connected to the internet and then open itunes. Sync your phone and then enable the internet again. Then stay connected to the internet and close your itunes and reopen it. Bam problem solved.

When I contacted apple they told me to uninstall an reinstall iTunes on the computer. That worked for allowing me to look at things but didn't solve getting back my stuff that just seems to b gone. :(

If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
Or roll back to the previous build:
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)
