How to fix screwed up colour matching?
I can never get consistent colour reproduction when printing files from illustrator. My monitor is calibrated and I am using unified colour management across the Creative Suite (as recommended) and have tried every combination of colour spaces and profiles known to man when it comes to printing through either an Epson 1290 or Epson 2880.
I am not talking about slight differences but some look as dark as Hades and others have skin looking radioactive pink!
Is there no easy way to ensure that what is shown on the screen at every stage actually comes out on the paper?????
I understand that the colour space of the file is mapped to the colour space of the monitor and then to the colour space of the printer, but something is clearly going very wrong indeed. I never had the issue with CS2 or CS3. When these tools are meant to help and do nothing but get in the way it is time to change!

So, can we assume you are using a version other than 12 (CS2) and 13 (CS3)?
If it's version 12 or earlier, I can attest to profile-based color management working exactly as advertised with various printers, including Epsons, with the following caveat: If you are not printing to your 1290 or 2880 via a PostScript RIP (such as Epson's own StylusRIP or a third-party product) -- i.e., if you are using the native Epson drivers -- then your Illustrator document must be RGB mode. If you are printing CMYK documents via the native drivers, results will be unpredictable.
Of course, if you're using an Illustrator version earlier than 9, you must print via a PostScript RIP because there was no such thing as an RGB document mode back then. Illustrator merely outputted 'device' CMYK.
When these tools are meant to help and do nothing but get in the way it is time to change!
Change to what? Not a lot of choices out there for professional illustration. If you had this working properly in versions 12 and 13, I guess you could change back to one of those from whatever version you're now using. I suppose it is possible that the version you are using now has a bug in this regard.
It sounds like you're doing things correctly, but if you'd be more specific about your color and print-time settings (plus document color mode, printer driver, etc.), perhaps one of us might be able to suggest a procedural change.
Do let us know which Illustrator version you're using, and, while you're at it, tell us which operating system and version you're running. (We might be looking at, for example, a Win 2000/XT vs. Vista driver issue.)

Every time I do all the steps to reset the questions the only problem I have is that I noticed in the link to reset them using an email the email in the link don't match the one I created my account with. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
You won't be able to change your rescue email address until you can answer your questions, you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

I've set up a new iMac and transferred my library. Now, when I switch on iTunes Match it gets to about 25% on stage 1 and just stops working, Anyone know how to fix this?
Ok, so the likely cause is 1 or more Songs are tripping up iTunes Match. To resolve, move to Song view, switch on iCloud Status and iCloud Download fields - sort the view on iCloud Status - identify Songs with status other than Purchased, Matched or Uploaded. Temporarily remove them from the library, allow iTunes Match to complete the 3-step process. Gradually import the Songs back in - any that cause a repeat failure, place in a playlist, burn to audio CD and import as 256k AAC.
Note: iTunes Match service in UK at present is intermittant, may be worth trying from 1200 tomorrow to give Apple the chance to complete its current updates. -
Itunes crashes when iTunes Match runs its Step 3 (not before) - any ideas why and how to fix it?
Every time iTunes runs the iTunes Match, when iTunes MAtch gets to Step 3 - iTunes stops working - ie crashes. Any idea why and how to fix it? The songs are still uploaded to iCloud etc... but it crashe iTunes every single time
I cannot explain the failure, but I can tell you that I have a string of approx. 24 emails with Apple and a combined 10hrs of talk time with Apple customer reps that tried helping me precisely for the issue that iTunes Match would crash at Step 3 without fail. Apple even logged my Console and I was talking to an engineer that literally wrote part of the code for iTunes Match (that was the fourth and last level of customer care I was escalated to). The poor man almost quite his job, and I just about demanded a refund for my $25, since iTunes Match simply wasn't working.
Then I studied at a friend's place, and I noticed that all of a sudden, while iTunes was running in the background, half my library was already uploaded and things were progressing smoothly. It turns out that it had something to do with my modem specifically, as I had already hooked up my computer straight to the modem, taking the router (TimeCapsule) out of the equation. Nothing worked. Firewalls were turned off, no AntiVirus existed, and Apple engineers tried everything possible, incl. remote access on my computer, to get this to work. Nothing worked as long as I was connected to a Motorola Surboard.
At every other network, wether at Starbucks, my university, or at friends places, however, iTunes Match worked flawlessly.
After some research online, it turnes out that a handful of people with Motorola Surrboard Xtreme cable modems had similar issues. Eversince, I simply use my neighbors wifi should I need to upload songs, and I have no issues. Oddly enough, matching (not uploading) works just fine with my Motorola.
Don't ask me how or why, I am interested in computers and work with them a lot, but I am no engineer. I can tell you that simple scientific method pinpointed to the modem, and I haven't had issues since then. -

Yes, someone stole my original apple id in 2009. Now i bought another iphone in late 2012 , Created another apple id due to Apple not being able to help me access my original apple id. Which now since 2 months ago someone or company, or bank stole my second apple id. My iphone 4s with Sprint has no celluar connection supossedly due to no internet that is what sprint said but I looked it up on apple and it stated that there is a cellluar block on my iphone4s.
So I guess I will have to go in person to Sprint so they can explain that to me and why I was lied to on the phone earlier. Back to my 2nd stolen apple id that I registered my macbook,airport express router, and iphone4s and apple TV. So who ever stole this apple id obviously took over all my mac products I had registered to it. Enough about that back to trying to use time machine....Everytime i do, my macbook just starts acting all screwed up. I bought a WD external drive for Mac but I believe someone must have claimed it too. Since there is 75gb on it that I can't access. Kind of like my Macbook stating I can't save or have access to the Root . That is another thing after reinstalling snow lepoard which works great until I update it. Which is a problem because everytime I update it to 10.6.8 All the permissions are changed the graphics look horrible and I get redirected so bad its not funny. The email account is a joke. Also I notice my stationary for email is in Spanish not sure why and on Iworks the document samples are also in spanish. Now I dont speak any other language except ENGLISH AND HAVE LIVED IN UNITEDSTATES MY ENTIRE LIFE. But my internet provider Fibrant which swears they are local shows it is in the UK also when i try to access my email for that account it states it is not safe , certificate is expired and someone might be trying to impersonate my server. Needless to say it is getting old. I had this same problem with Timewarner and Att except att would just remove my ethernet driver then laugh when i would call and ask what the problem was. Then later I find out when I had DSL that somehow the phone number they had listed was change to being a digit off from my DSL account which again they laughed and thought it was funny. Enough about that. I need to know how to get access to my Apple id. I gave up on the first one but the second one I did have access to until I registered all my apple products. What is up with every thing I have with a usb port being corrupt. I have also notice anywhere in town where I live my phone is English until I come home it is arabic,hebrew , spanish any language except English. Shouldn't I be safer in my home??????????????? But I am not I am safer in town or anywhere but my home. EVerything states international in my home and this has been going on since 2009.....No one can tell me why. Back to my iphone 4s problem. My icloud email account gets alot of spam starting about 2 months ago and I can't stop it. I won't to connect my iphone to itunes to try to restore it but it states I have to update it to 10.6.8. When I do that my computer is alot worse off. You don't know how many times I wish I had never backed my iphone 4s to my Macbook. Right after I could not log into it. Even used the disk to reset the password nope still couldn't log into it. Try to type the formula for resetting the password and nope it didn't work either.
Any suggestions would be appreciated---Need to gain access to my apple Id that would be a great start

Update: I tried the "Toshiba Recovery Wizard" after everything else either fizzled out or hung up. After going all the way thru the recovery process (up to 100%), I finally got an error message.....it didn't work. And now, when I fire up the computer, I don't even get to that menu with the recovery options....the only thing I can boot into is the screens with the various ways to run your OS (in "safe mode", "safe mode with networking", etc).
I'm not a techie, but I'm guessing at this point, the part of my hard drive that got damaged in the fall was, at the very least, the partition with the recovery data. Couple that with the fact that this cheapo Toshiba laptop didn't even come with recovery disk (or ANY kind of disk, even basic installation software!), I'm screwed: I don't see any way to get a workable computer now without some kind of disk to boot from. So NOW my concern is more about spending the $$ for a new OS and THEN finding out the hard drive has other problems too...is broken in some other way to boot.
How to check this? As I said, I did run "chkdsk" back when I could get into the recovery menu and run the fix-it programs. It didn't note any problems. Thinking of taking this opportunity to upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista (which I never liked), but I have to know that the computer is otherwise ok....how to be sure? Help!! -
My backlight on my macbook pro unibody is not working. The lights do not come on. Does anyone know how to fix this manually? Im also missing screes to the back of my computer holding it in shape. My battery needs to be replaced as well. How do i do all of this? Id also like to replace my RAM.
For the keyboard backlight:
Have you tried pressing the "lights on" F-key, that has like a half-round rays of light over a bar symbol (currently F6 on my Mac, but may be different on other models)? If it doesn't work, does anything show on the screen?
If a crossed-out symbol pops up onscreen when you press the F-key, that means that automatic keyboard lighting is enabled and the Mac thinks surroundings are too bright already. Go to System Preferences / Keyboard and uncheck the "Automatically illuminate keyboard..." item, then try again.
For the screws:
Visit www.powerbookmedic.com or www.ifixit.com and see in their Mac parts section for a replacement screw set. You will need to know your Mac's model, printed on the bottom lid, to ensure you get the correct parts for that particular computer.
For the RAM:
While in either of the two places I mentioned above, visit their How-To / DIY section for instructions on how to replace RAM on your Mac. Then visit www.crucial.com, www.corsair.com, www.kingston.com, www.otherworldcomputing.com or any other RAM maker, use their RAM advisor together with your Mac's model to select the correct RAM upgrade kit for your Mac. -
How to fix the iphone 4s if it is the wrong carrier iphone 4s?
Just wondering if anyone has had this problem and how to fix it. Lets see in October 2012 I bought a brand new Iphone 4s. I had it less than a week when I sent it to Apple because it had already been updated to IOS 6 without my knowledge and the battery was dying and some other issues was going on with the phone. My carrier Sprint that I purchased it from has a 2 year contract. What Apple sent me back for my brand new Iphone 4s was a used refurbished Iphone 4s with Verizon carrier. I spent hours on the phone with Apple and Sprint. Sprint told me to tell Apple that I needed a Sprint Iphone. Well I tried but they said they could make it work as long as I didn't try to install a sim card because then the phone would not work at all. Well besides everything on my phone refering to Verizon or At&t but never my carrier Sprint I suppose it could have been worse. I actually have never seen the OS 5.11 all I have ever seen is OS 6. Even the refurbished Verizon phone I was sent was already updated to I0S 6 so I couldn't change it. My husbands iphone 4s from Sprint never updated on its on, his is still IOS 5. Anyway, my battery dies quite frequently and now my refurbished Verizon/Sprint iphone has updated to IOS 6.02 which is even worse. When ever I log into a online account I am always showing up as that I am logging in from another state like Georgia with Sprint carrier but I don't live in Georgia. Pretty much anytime I Iog into any online account I am never on a Sprint Network in my state . Always the wrong state. Try to do a soft reset which doesn't help because the factory defaults for the phone is Verizon and lets not forget it won't work with a sprint sim card at all. I also try to atleast restore it to I0S 6 on itunes but it keeps stating restore and update. So now I am stuck with IOS 6.02. I think it would be great if I could use I0S 5 like my husband has on his Iphone 4s. Any suggestions on how to fix my screwed up iphone 4s. I would go to an apple store but the closest one is over an hour a way. So thats out for now. So how do I use my iphone 4s with carrier Sprint on their celluar network in my state and possibly the city I live in, also which is all in the UnitedStates?

recently updated to the latest version of Itunes (11.1) and when i try to play music or tv shows, the sound lasts only for a second before going completely mute, anyone know how to fix this?

Unfortunately if there are various colours across the screen then you have broken the LCD Screen and it will need replacing. If the colours change when you press the area lightly then this is another symptom that you've broken the screen.
