How to fix the decimal part(round) i.e. fix the size of float.
how to fix the decimal part(round) i.e. fix the size of float.
You can use BigDecimal to round of your number.
float f = 5.678f;
f = new BigDecimal(f).setScale(2, BigDecimal.ROUND_HALF_UP).floatValue();If you just want to display the float with a certain number of decimals, you can use java.text.DecimalFormat
DecimalFormat df = new DecumalFormat("0.00"); // two decimals
float f = 5.678f;
System.out.println(df.format(f)); // should show up as 5.68

How to change the size of control´s prompt?
No matter the size of data to be displayed in the view suface prompt, the controls have the same size.
Does anyone here know how to change the size of control in surface prompt?HI,
In order to change the size of a radio button... one way you may consider is to Customise the Radio Button.
Place a Radio Button (RB) on the FP of a VI, Right-Click the RB > Advanced > Customise...
Click the Mode Button (most Left button) for Edit Mode
Right-click the radio button (the round image) now, you will see a list of actions i.e. Copy to clipboard, import picture ...You will see Four images under the 'Picture Item', those are the images that you will need to replace.
Prepare Four Images of the similar but larger expected size
*** Copy the 1st new image to clipboard. Back to the Picture Item and select 1st image. Then, select Import Picture (to replace the existing image)
Repeat *** for all four images.
Once done, change the mode back to original. Save the *.ctl
You are now ready to use the customised radio button!
Quick sample attached (sorry for the poor images created )

How to increase the size of text boxes in FCPX without stretching the text inside?
How to increase the size of text boxes in FCPX without stretching the text inside?
There are two basic Title formats — I should say Layouts — available: Text (plain) and Paragraph. (The plain text version usually does not appear with the blue dot controls — those generally appear for the paragraph type control.)
If the Title is using a Paragraph layout, it's like having a mini version of Text Edit available inside FCPX. You can tell when you click on the text (when the title is selected) -- a rectangle will appear around the text like so:
double clicking on the text will give you the bounds controls which you can use to redefine the text area without distorting the text. Once selected, notice the button that appears in the top right corner of the canvas:
Pressing that will activate the ruler. You can right click on the ruler and add Tab Stops (left, right, center and decimal.)
So if the title uses paragraph formatting, you can create a very WYSIWYG type of display text (use the Text inspector to alter text selections within the paragraph bounds.) -
How to determine the size of selected text
Hi
I'd like to draw a box around some selected text (a textRange), however I can't figure out how to detemine the size or position of the text. The overall size of a textFrame is possible to find (not sure about position), but when you've got just a few characters selected I don't see any way to get the size or position. Any ideas?You may have to do some testing of your own with this… I tested here and 'think' its OK but could have overlooked something… For me the best way to get this data is to outline the type store the info in a variable then undo the outlining process… You can then continue your script with info in hand… An example that draws a box over each selected character… I cheated with only the one text frame but you can resolve that? You could easy use math.min & math.max to draw around an array of bounds… I didn't bother with a load of tests it expects selected text range as is… have fun…
#target Illustrator
textBoxer();
function textBoxer() {
var i, doc, sel, start, end, spaceB4, spaceInc, mat, grp, count, boxes;
doc = app.activeDocument;
sel = doc.selection;
start = sel.characterOffset-1; // Not zero based…
end = start + sel.length;
doc.selection = null;
spaceB4 = doc.textFrames[0].contents.substr( 0, start ); // Cheated here you will need to find parent frame…
mat = spaceB4.match( /\s/g ); // Resolve the lost of white space characters before selection
mat != null ? spaceB4 = mat.length : spaceB4 = 0;
spaceInc = doc.textFrames[0].contents.substr( 0, end ); // Here too…
mat = spaceInc.match( /\s/g ); // Resolve the lost of white space characters in selection
mat != null ? spaceInc = mat.length : spaceInc = 0;
grp = doc.textFrames[0].createOutline(); // Items in new group are last to first order
app.redraw();
count = grp.compoundPathItems.length;
boxes = Array();
for ( i = 0; i < count; i++ ) {
boxes.push( grp.compoundPathItems[i].visibleBounds );
boxes.reverse(); // Fix the order
app.undo(); // Bounce back…
app.redraw();
start = start - spaceB4;
end = end - spaceInc;
for ( i = start; i < end; i++ ) {
doc.pathItems.rectangle( boxes[i][1], boxes[i][0], boxes[i][2]-boxes[i][0], -boxes[i][3]- -boxes[i][1], false );

How to decrease the size of an image (CS5)?
I need help with how to reduce the size of an image to fit various smaller sizes. E.g. 135 x 380mm, 254 x254mm etc mounted/matted. Therefore, the image must be made smaller than these sizes without losing quality and any part of the image. I am unable to crop to achieve these sizes since I need the full image. These photos were taken by using a Canon D450 camera and in both RAW & JPEG.
Your help is much appreciated.You may want to use Image > Image size... and dial in the sizes you want.
Set your units to mm in the dialog. Turn off resample and you can adjust the final print size.
What I am showing you is called "scaling", changing the print size without throwing out pixels as resample would do. Your image is intact. This is from CS6, but it should be about the same in CS5.

For the life of me, I can't find out what size a photo is in terms of inches or how to change the size of the photo[s] so I can print them. I think I read somewhere to click edit, then click adjust. I don't see anything about re-sizing when I click the adjust tab: only saturation and tint levels. Thank you.
With respect to digital images, there really is no size in inches. The size is given as number of pixels horizontally and vertically. In iPhoto '09 you click the little "i" inthe lower right side of the window and it will display information related to the selected photo, including the pixel dimensions. I do not have iPhoto '11 installed so I don't know if it is the same there.
In some applications, such as preview, it has something additional called Dots per Inch (DPI) which you would think would allow you to convert the pixel dimensions to inches. It is not a real thing, though. The DPI is determined by how large or small you have chosen to print your photo and the capabilities of your printer.
There is also something called Aspect Ratio, which is usually expressed in inches x inches such as 6x9 but that doesn't mean the size on the screen or when printed is 6x9. It is the ratio of the pixel dimensions. When cropping your photos, you will have several standard aspect ratios to choose from plus any custom ones you create.
In iPhoto '09, after you choose Print, in the Print Setting window are the settings for the size you want the photo printed. You want to shoose a setting with the same aspect ratio of your photo. Otherwise, iPhoto will resize and/or crop your photo to fit the size you have chosen. -

You can change it in the "Parameter Form Window" property of the Report Object.

How to get the size of partition?
The following SQL will get the rows of the fact table & aggregation. But how to get the size (MB) of the partition. select * from $system.discover_partition_stat That should be doable, because in BIDS, we can see the size of a partition, but from which
view we can do that?This is the best bet you have SELECT * FROM SystemRestrictSchema($system.discover_partition_stat ,DATABASE_NAME = 'Adventure Works DW' ,CUBE_NAME = 'Adventure Works' ,MEASURE_GROUP_NAME = 'Internet Sales' ,PARTITION_NAME = 'Internet_Sales_2003') Refer
