How to fix the white light

I have the 4th generation ipod touch. One day it got the white screen and i let it die and tried to charge it back up but it wouldnt connect to my computer or turn on. Ive looked up some tips but none of them helped me at all.If anyone has any suggestions it would help alot... thanks!

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I took this picture from the internet, then I used Live trace with colours.
Now when I tried to save as a PDF it looks like this: (You can see all the white lines)
But when I open the PDF again in Illustrator it looks okay. How can I fix this? I use CS3

You would have to temporarily reverse what you did and use object >> rasterize then make your pdf.
The problem is how acrobat is displaying this, and it sees all those vector paths, and you have to get rid of those one way or another. Though you can fix things like thin lines that look bold, by removing enhance thin lines, I do not think we can fix your problem in acrobat. Yu can try playing with these acrobat settings though.

i have a blackberry curve 8520. since yesterday it is stuck on a white screen, though the green light is flashing. Try to Reset your device, using the proper method.
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears (ignore the Slide to Power Off option that shows up first).

Hi I have been having trouble with my imac that was bought in 2009. I was working on a project when my imac froze. I turned it off and turned it back off but then it showed a screen the color of sky blue. I left it on the whole day then turned it off for the whole night. Sounds like a hardware problem, run Apple Hardware Test (Google it) in Extended Mode at least 2-3 times in succession. If you get any error codes you have confirmed its hardware which means there is nothing we can do to help on a user forum. It would mean a trip to your local Apple Store or AASP.

I am using the G Drive Slim to back up my files, but I don't know how to tell if or when it is finished. The white light does not change, flicker, go out, etc. When is it finished?

The whole story: The hard drive on my quite new Mac Book Pro, bought in December of 2011, crashed and burned in the Fall of 2012. I purchased a new hard drive and was informed that the only way I could have saved my "stuff" was to back it up with an external hard drive. Who knew?? I bought a G Drive Slim at the Apple store, and on their advice. BUT I really don't understand how to use it, and the instructions are completely inadequate. How can you tell when it is finished? I have educated myself on the proper way to eject the Drive, but I don't know how to tell if it is done. Or, frankly, if it is even doing anything. The white light burns steadily, no blinking, no flickering. Nothing. Thanks for help.

are you backing up files, or doing a Time machine backup, either way, the Time machine will STOP when finished and show "last backup at XXXXXX" meaning its done...... OR if when transferring files, it will show a progress bar on your desktop and vanish when files are copied.
Open up the Hitachi drive (your G drive is made by Hitachi, and the best made by the way).....and see if the files are there.
a MORE VISUAL way is to open the hard drive file, and drag and drop files INTO the Gdrive and you can see them visually be copied there as you do it.
To see your HD on your desktop GOTO FINDER......PREFERENCES....then GENERAL TAB.........check the box marked HARD DRIVES.........then your Gdrive will appear on your desktop........open it from there, and DRAG and drop files from anywhere INTO the Gdrive....... easy visual way to see the files being copied into the Gdrive.

ATV 2 stopped working. The connections are good, the remote is paired and working, but the menus come and go off sporadically, and the white light just blinks continuously.

I bought ATV 2 about two weeks ago. The setup was easy and I set up my Home Sharing, screensavers, and I was watching Netflix within about 20 minutes. I had a good week of no trouble and enjoyed the device immensely. I updated the software when prompted and continued to watch movies and play music. Then something happened: in the middle of viewing, ATV 2 stopped working, the screen went blank, and the little white light started blinking slowly. When this happens, the ATV manual "troubleshooting" section merely says, "Apple TV is having problems." ***? Strangely, it would come on and act fine for a few moments as if nothing happended (for only a minute or two), then click off again.
I attempted to RESET the device by using the Down/Menu combo -- nothing -- the white light blinks really fast but still no picture on the TV (just the Apple logo); I unplugged it and plugged it back in -- no fix; then, I RESTORED the device and had to re-enter Apple and Netflix account info, passwords, set up shared photo folders, etc. Afterwards, it worked. I watched movies right where I left off and went on with life until a few days ago when I wanted to finish a movie... The movie was going fine - no problems at all - until ATV 2 stopped working again!
So, the remote works [it is paired and sends commands as it should], the HDMI connection to HDTV is fine, the stereo receiver connection is fine (for audio, using an optical cable). But the only thing on the TV is the Apple logo. Resetting ATV 2 doesn't work; and I could restore it again but that seems like a HUGE waste of time, and something I am not prepared to do each time I want to use the device.
What could be the cause? Wireless interferrence, software/update flaws, need for firmware, or malfunctioning hardware? ATV 2 is a $100 paperweight until I get answers.

After some sleuthing online, reading a compilation of Q&As here, and visiting the local Apple Store, I think the problem and "solution" may be found in HOW my ATV2 is connected to my stereo. For some reason that I have not figured out, when the RECEIVER either switches from one setting to another, it somehow disrupts the ATV.
The ORDER of how you turn ATV on and off is key. If you start with everything OFF (ATV, HDTV, stereo Receiver), then turn on the receiver, then turn the HDTV, put the TV to the input setting that is connected to the ATV, THEN turn on the ATV by hitting the Play button on the remote.
Note: The ATV light may come on once the HDTV is turned on and put to the correct setting, but you will not see a picture on your TV yet.
You should be up and running on ATV (without having to reset, unplug or restore). Apparently, I was using my universal remote that essentially turned everything (HDTV, Onkyo Receiver and, by extension, the ATV) on at the same time, confusing ATV and causing that evil blinking white light. The ATV connection was lost.
When you are done with ATV, you must put ATV to sleep FIRST... each time. The command is on the main menu, to the far right, at the bottom [Sleep Now]. Once you press Sleep Now, the ATV will go off. THEN you can turn your receiver/HDTV off (or to whatever other setting you want for watching regular tv, music, etc.). I was simply switching my HDTV and Receiver 'away' from ATV when I was done... But I would return to a blinking light and no ATV. The solution above is a work-around that seems to do the trick.
The thing Apple needs to fix is to make the "Sleep Now" command a simple process on the remote so you don't have to back out of everything you were watching to get to the main menu for the Sleep Now command. Or in the next update Apple merely needs to improve ATV2 so it can work no matter what order you open or close it on a HDTV/Stereo.
Note: Other people have suggested that you just hit the select or Menu button to put ATV to sleep, but that did NOT work for me.
I figured this out through trial and error so I hope it works for you too.

I took over updating some things on my site from my web designer. The main images on each page used to be flush with the navigation bar on each page. Now there is a white space in between each one. Can you tell me how to remove the white space?

Sometimes I cannot get my apple tv to work after being in sleep mode. I then have to turn the power on and off to make it work. Note the white light will come one when I try and wake it up. But, the light will not blink.

Most of the time when I wake up my apple tv, the white light will come on, but will not blink when I have this problem. I then have to pull the plug and then put the plug back in the socket, then it will work.

Unfortunately if there are various colours across the screen then you have broken the LCD Screen and it will need replacing. If the colours change when you press the area lightly then this is another symptom that you've broken the screen.

Can anyone help a tech illiterate broke single mom that can't afford a new computer to help fix the **** white screen of death that haunts my screen?

There has been three people here with your issue today, this is very highly unusual and hope it's not a start of something.
I'll say the same to you as I did the other two
OS X is not loading for some reason off the drive.
Normally you would see a gray screen with a spinning circle, but the gray screen splash is held in EFI firmware someplace and loaded first.
You'll have to run through this list of fixes, see how far you get to resolve your issue yourself, or have to take it in for service/repair.

Anybody know how to fix the audio while watching movies on first generation apple tv? On my apple tv, I can hear audio for music, music videos, youtube, internet radio and even movie previews! But..... when I pay for the rental download of a movie there is no audio - just visuals. I am connecting with hdmi. When I connect an apple tv 2nd generation to the same amp and tv, using same hdmi and even same power lead and same settings then there is no problem! Anybody know how I can get audio to work for movies for this?

I had same problem on my next gerneration apple tv (black model) but when I switched off the dolby then I could hear movie. In this case that does not work for the first generation (white) apple TV I have whether dolby is on or off. I have never been able to watch a movie using it.

I need to know how to fix the Adobe reader so I can read the same PDF docs, my bank statements, etc that I have always been able to read before.

Then why was I able to read them before? I downloaded a PDF study guide that I have been using for weeks. Then all of a sudden, a couple days after I purchased rights from ADOBE to convert from text to PDF everything comes up in a different fot. It is in a draft type of font that is very light, the caps are bold and it is difficult to read. I can still read the Study Guide, though it is hard on my eyes, but my bank statements are illegible. Now please tell me if it isn't Reader, what is it? and HOW DO I FIX IT?

I have the same problem!! It lead to many other problems with my phone
I just arranged a repair with apple. Yes its inconvenient to be without a phone for a while but if your phone is in warranty its good to get it looked at professionally!
