How to fix yahoo mail going to trash folder and not inbox?
Incoming email to my yahoo account (through Rogers) ends up in my trash folder and not my inbox.
I do not have the same problem with my gmail account and email addressed there goes to the gmail inbox.
Any advice on how to fix this problem?
Thanks
I've deleted all future appointments from the Hotmail calendar.
I've left the iPad overnight "thinking" about removing Calendar from iCloud and gave up this morning.
My son has school information on the iPad.
Please help???
Regards,
Anthony

Incoming mail going to trash folder instead of inbox
About 20% of my new emails are deposited in the trash folder instead of my inbox.
How can I prevent this?Your slow computer could be caused by a number of problems such as memory, hardware, or software issues. It isn't related to the problem you had with Mail.
First, I suggest you open Disk Utility and repair permissions on your boot volume. Then verify if the hard drive is OK, or does it show problems.
Restart the computer and see if you still have problems.
If so, I would just advise you to post a new discussion describing this problem so others with better knowledge could help you to figure out the problem.
Search google or these discussions on Slow Computer with Yosemite. There are many discussions on this already. You might also look into downloading EtreCheck and providing that information in your post. It will gather information from your computer to allow others to look and analyze what you have that could be causing issues.

How do you identify mail in the junk folder as "not junk"?
I came across this answer on the Apple support site:
Tell Mail that a message is legitimate by marking it as not junk. Click Not Junk in the banner of the message; or select the message, then click the Not Junk button in the Mail toolbar.
Unfortunately, I don't see "not junk" in the banner of the message (not entirely sure what a "banner" is, but I'm looking everywhere) or a thumbs up button on any toolbar.CTS wrote:
I do not see that option. The messages in my junk folder do not have those buttons on them.
Then they weren't marked as Junk by Mail.
Things can end up in your Junk folder in one of three ways:
1) Mail's junk filter reviews the message and determines it is junk. It then marks it as junk and moves it into the Junk folder (if prefs set to do so).
2) An email server marks the message with spam headers because it thinks it is spam. Mail will move those messages to Junk if you have the prefs set to trust junk mail headers. It does not mark those as Junk because it doesn't know why they have the headers set, just that they do.
3) Your email provider has moved the message to the Spam folder on the server and you are using IMAP (or other server-based account). Again, Mail will not mark those as Junk as Mail did not make the determination that they were Junk. -
E-mail going into trash folder instead of the normal destination
all of a sudden this started about 3 weeks ago e-mails were going into the trash the thing about it is I can't forward important mail to my friends etc from there

You should ask your email service provider for support. Firefox rarely has any kind of influence over this matters. -

Incoming mail going to archive folder instead of inbox
after registering my macbook pro 2.4ghz core 2 duo running mavericks 10.9.1 for the app "messages", i've noticed emails addressed to my .mac account no longer go to my inbox on this computer, they land in the "archive" folder.
any idea what happened and how i can fix this?
thanks in advance.Your slow computer could be caused by a number of problems such as memory, hardware, or software issues.

All mail going into junk folder, 'Rules' not working
All my new email is going into the Junk mail folder, even some old emails from one folder. Plus, my Rules aren't working when I apply them.
Found out the problem lies with SpamSieve - once I unchecked it in Rules, everything's back to normal. I guess there's not a Leopard-compatible version yet, but what a great service it is.

How can I save mail messages to my computer and not my mail program
My mail program seems to be slow. I'm not sure why. I get the spinning ball frequently. I need to save mail messages sometimes for a few years and there are hundreds of emails. Is it better to save them on my computer than my mail program? I may need to retrieve them at some other time so they need to be readable. Is that possible?
I'm using OS X 10.9.4. I have a 3.06 GHz processor and 12 GB of memory. ThanksYou can select to export a folder to save as a .mbox file. This file would need to be imported if you wanted to view the messages.
Select mailbox (folder)
Under Mailbox in the Menu bar select Export Mailbox...
You might also want to check out the demo for EagleFiler by the author for SpamSieve. You could view and search the messages archived in EagleFiler.

Regarding Mail being slow....
Is it only Mail that is slow? How much free space on your drive? Use Disk Utility to find available space. -
My ITunes sore account repeatedly prompts to authorize computer. I have deauthorized and reauthorized computer. I only have one computer authorized. I have changed the user account controls per instructions. I have removed the SC Info folder per instructions for Windows 7 and nothing works. Everything was working fine a few days ago.
I have now checked my purchaes and when I check the video info by going to File/Get Info, I notice that some of the most recent purchases do not list my apple id whereas previous purchaes do.
How do I correct this? -
Mail going to junk folder is not marked as junk
I have an automated email that I get occasionally. Without exception it ends up in the junk folder. However, even sitting in the junk folder, the message itself is not marked as junk.
I've turned off all rules, and they still go to the junk folder. Any ideas?
may be relevant: the email address is a google business apps email address. There are quite a few threads discussing this.
Google is likely moving the items into it's spam folder which shows up as "Junk" in Mail.
Since Mail did not put them there, it doesn't mark them as Junk as it has no idea why they were put there.
As Gmail is IMAP-ish, your local copy matches what is on the server. Since it is in Spam on the server, it shows up in Junk in Mail. -
Yahoo mail only works on 3G and not on wifi. It is the same for iphone
Yahoo cannot download messages on wifi. It only works on 3G
Seems to work fine on my home wifi, but not on my office wifi. Before the upgrade, it worked fine on my office wifi.
Must be something subtle. What kind of network issue where you thinking about? I can perform more tests.
Otherwise, things worked fine on my office wifi; I was able to access Yahoo email via it's web-app for iphone. Able to browse web pages, etc. -
I upgraded to IOS 6, I am unable to get into my Yahoo mail. It accepts pw, and pops up and tells me how many e-mails I have and then goes right back to the sign on screen. verified that I can get in from laptop & wireless is functioning.any suggestions?

I do backup with iCloud. I can't wait until the new iMac is available so that I can once again have my files in more than 1 location without needing to rely solely on the cloud.
I also rely on iTunes and my MacBook and Time Machine as well as backing up to iCloud. I know many users know have gone totally PC free, but I chose to use iCloud merely as my third backup.
I assume that the restore would result in my ability to open Pages and Numbers and fix the problem with deleting apps, but this would also mean that if my Numbers documents still exist solely within the app and are just not on iCloud for some reason that they would be gone forever. Is that right?
In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever. -
New e-mail goes to Trash instead of Inbox.
== This happened ==
Every time Firefox opened
== my g-mail got hacked about 10 days agoSounds like your issue is between gmail and charter. Thunderbird would have no part in this operation.
