I have a new Intex Cloud Fx phone. In this, I go to 'Device in formation' and try to update the device by pressing update now, I get an error message that says 'an error occurred while checking for updates'. Also, it does not respond to the' last updated' command. When I press 'more device information' I can see’ OS version Intex_Cloud_FX_V07’. I have tried all kinds of procedures suggested on the net and elsewhere but have not succeeded in updating my phone, so far. This includes resetting the phone. I am using a Wi-fi connection. It seems that quite a few persons are facing this problem. There have been suggestions ranging from 'there is a bug' to 'there are no updates'. So, the problem persists, with no end in sight. I believe that we are aware of the update issue however, it is ultimately the carrier/ manufacturer to provide updates. Please contact the respective company for assistance.

ios8 for my iphone 5 = crashes, hot phone, restarts, dropped calls, funny looking fuzzy 'senior picture screen' with frost on the perimeter..... Just opening 'message' for texts takes 3-4 seconds to load, where previously, it was milliseconds latency speeds. I think they pressed this OS beyond the reasonable functional limit of the hardware (phones), especially with the older phones and/or phones with less memory.
It's like an athlete on steroids, the bones can't handle the force of the muscles and something is gonna BREAK!
When did we ever come to think that $400 phones would become 2-4 year disposable items and revere at the glory of it all! And whether we realize it or not, it's being shoved down our throats.
Just fix the OS please so my phone can work for me as it has in the past.
For the $$ being paid out, we shouldn't have to reset, restart, restore......

I have intex cloud fx. The preloaded fxos is 1.3 which not support copy paste via clipboard and meany more.
So I want to upgrade it to 2.x .

If you are familiar with creating your own build of Firefox OS and flashing your device, you might be able to do so.
If you are not, please contact your manufacturer on when they will release and update for your device. Is it not possible for Mozilla to release an update that is specifically targeted for your device.

Verizon - Iphone 6 plus - phone app getting hanged while doing 3 way conference call

I am using VOLTE in IPHONE 6 Plus with IOS 8.1 and when I am trying to do 3 way conference: I called person A and then I add person B, then I see the following issues:
I press Merge calls and calls are merged but still merge calls & Swap icon is enabled.
When person A/B hangsup, the phone app is hanged and call is ended but it still shows that phone is ending.
If I end the call, still the phone app is hanged and it shows it is ending.
I cannot do any dialing in the phone when phone app is hanged and literally, I have to restart the phone only.
Any other person cannot call me and it goes to voicemail.
All the above issues were happening in IOS 8 and IOS 8.0.2 also. I did reset network settings too but it did not help.
Can someone give an idea for any solution.

Thank you so much for those details. I want to make sure that you are able to use the feature without any issues. One thing that we might want to check out is that all the people that are a part of the 3 way calling is in the Verizon 4G LTE network. This could cause some issues if they are not. And, exactly where are you planning to purchase this phone in the US? In the US, only Apple sells the officially unlocked iPhone 4S, so make sure you only purchase directly from Apple.

I Phone 4 getting hanged

Hi, My I Phone 4 is getting hanged sometimes. It happens once i try to come out from stand by phone. Slide to open bar will not be moving. and looks stuck. I will wait for 10-15 seconds and then it will work. Do you know any solution to this problem.

Thank-you I tried restarting and that didn't do it but the reset all settings did. Now I just need to go back and redo the settings like I like them and hopefully it won't change it again.

I lost my iphone (4). I ended up buying a new 4S. NOW my original iphone has been found. I had had the 4 disabled and it can only be utilized now for emergency calls. How do I backup my original phone and get all the contacts?

I lost my iphone and had to replace it. All my contacts were on my original iphone which wasa a version 4.
I had to replace the phone and now have a 4S. I had never backed up my original phone. How do I download all my contacts to icloud etc so I can upload to my new 4S?
Right now the original phone is "disabled" and it tells me I have to enter my 4 digit pin. It also says the only calls I can make are for assistance...
Once I have downloaded my contacts from original phone to icloud???...how do I sink my new 4 S.
Also, I have a new ipad and it has 3 G. I have lots of data in my ipone plan and don't need more. How do I "share" the data plan between my iphone and ipad? How do I keep the data backed up that is on both iphone and ipad.

In Regards to this, You possibly wont be able to get the contacts from the iPhone 4 unless there is a back up file on your computer.
The original phone would be disabled due to alot of attempts of the wrong passcode. If all your contacts are on the cloud at the moment, you would be able to just set the iPhone 4S up with iCloud on it then Turn On "Contacts".
This would be bring all the contacts down from your iCloud onto your 4S.
But you will only be able to merge your contacts with the cloud when your original iPhone either has been enabled or the passcode was entered.
If you have previously already had iCloud on that device and have contacts Turned on, you will be able to just enter the same Apple ID you used for iCLoud on your original phone and use it on your new one.
Your able to check what content your iCloud holds via www.icloud.com
If you are unable to get past the disabled screen, then unfortunately the device will have to be put into recovery mode and then restored via iTunes NOTE: This will delete all data.

What is the codename for intex cloud fx(required to manually build 2.0)

I want to manually build the latest B2G for a intex cloud fx phone. The build process requires running the `config.sh` script with the phone's codename:

Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with customizing the Intex Cloud Fx device.
I know that for the Flame (reference) device, it's possible to install a Base Image, and then do a shallow-flash of only Gecko+Gaia on top. It's possible that this would not work for your particular device, and there is always the possibility of bricking and voiding warranty during these procedures.
These types of advanced developer and customization questions are outside the scope of the SUMO forums, and you may have better luck finding an answer in mailing lists with the correct audience:

Flash development resolution for phones

I am starting development for a game that I originally intended for the android os. However with the recent news of flash 10.1 and its capabilities across the palm os and web os as well I would rather use it.
My two main questions are
1. Will phones only be able to view flash games through their browsers, or will they be able to download/play them locally?
2. How will flash handle the different phone resolutions. Will it auto resize or is there a specific resolution i should use?
Ideally I would like to host a download-able app on droid market, but regardless any information about this you could tell me is appreciated.

Generally, there are still lots of unanswered questions in regards to Flash on mobile devices. They will be answered soon by Adobe, but things are still in the works.
I would check out the various presentations at this last year's MAX conference. In many cases, they show what they expect the work flow to be.
To answer your questions
1. We don't know yet. They announced they are working on the FP for Android, but they haven't announced anything additional for the Droid platform yet.
2. Generally, it's been said that the developer needs to target the various resolutions themselfs. I doubt that the applications will be auto-resized for the mobile platform (that would be painful on both sides).

Wiped OS, Intex Cloud Fx, how to re-install..?

Bought a Intex Cloud fx, installed relevant adb drivers, entered fastboot mode, accidentally wiped the pre-loaded Firefox os. Now the phone starts and only displays splash screen (no os i guess.). I knew i have voided the warranty but who cares and i have recently came across a .pac file which is said to contain the firefox os for Cloud fx.
I even have a pac file flasher, but the problem is the phone is not detected by the flasher, therefore i am unable to install the os. Help me.

If the system permissions outside of Server.app and outside of the OS X files that are managed with Repair Permissions have been changed and various operations are now failing, then the paths back involve resetting the permissions to the original (large and complex project, as the permissions don't and variously aren't consistent down through a directory hierarchy), or the (destructive!) wipe and reinstall.
To perform the permissions repair and potentially then the (destructive!) wipe and install, boot the repair partition, or create and boot from an external keydisk you've created. Certainly try a repair permissions from Disk Utility. Then — only if there's nothing on the disk you care about, or if you have an external backup or two of all of your data — off-disk and external copies everything that you do care about — erase the boot disk via Disk Utility, and reinstall OS X, and re-download and reconfigure Server.app.
Resetting the directories manually is still a large project, and what needs to be done depends on how broadly the permissions were changed; what directories and files were effectived If you can haul over individual files from an older backup or individually from the post-corruption backup, then you can reset inditividual data files as needed.
If the permissions change was to specific directories, those might be undoable with lower-level commands, but details of that depend on exactly what was changed.
But if there's no data on the disk that you care about now, the wipe-and-install will be far and away the fastest recovery.
As for Server.app, you won't have to pay again.
ps: FWIW, AFAICT, re-downloading and reinstalling Server.app will not address this permissions issue. Not unless the permissions changes and the resulting issues were within the Server.app bundle, and your reference to having changed users and groups settings implies it was not.

How to unlock firmware for the Intex Cloud Fx (Spreadtrum sc6821 chipset)?

I was looking for an update for the past few months for my Intex Cloud Fx , which is up-to-date to 1.3
I then realized that a new version is under development (Firefox OS 2.0 unstable), still I am stuck with the same touch lagging operating system even though its stable.
It was hard for me to get the adb working without the android sdk installed ,by searching for the right driver for Spreadtrum sc6821 for windows. Once I paired it , the Webide worked fine with the phone and I enjoyed the app install experience!
My main censure is that I do not know how to install my own build of Firefox OS(OS currently in GitHub, code name Tarako Supported) without unlocking the firmware device(by the way the carrier is unlocked). Developers mentioned in the Firefox forum stating that, my device is firmware locked.
Here is the question, there are tools for the ZTE variants for unlocking the firmware but is there a tool for my device ?
I had googled couple of times and searched various forums but I could not find it!
There is no hope of my device getting an official update!
(Intex has a worse reputation as a Smartphone provider, still I bought it for the hopes of Firefox OS ecosystem )

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with your Intex Cloud FX device. Unfortunately, version 2.0 and above are not compatible with your device due to the low memory specifications.
