How to format 2330 classic???

please tell me how to format 2330 classic.... its a s40v5 phone and the codes such as *#7370# and *#7780# doesn't work well.... y am doing format is tht some folders come in photos and videos folders which are not deletable.... and the bluetooth is also not working.... please help me format the phone.....

You cant format a S40 device, only thing which can be done is to restore it to the factory settings, if *#7780# is not working try navigating through the settings > restore factory settings option default code is 12345, your next step is to visit a Nokia care center if this factory reset didnt help
If a reply has solved your problem click Accept as solution button, doing it will help others know the solution. Thanks.

  • How to format ipod classic (7th gen)?

    Windows 7 computer recognizes my iPod classic 160GB, but iTunes doesn't recognize it. It's new, and I'm thinking it needs to be formatted. Any advice?

    Bear with me, if these have been tried, but at least you didn't say that you have tried everything.
    iPod Not recognised by Windows
    If you are using Windows, I would suggest reinstalling iTunes, this would repair any corrupted Apple Mobile Device driver that is required for iTunes to interface with USB devices.
    After Re-installing, reboot your PC.
    Disconnect the PC from Internet
    Stop your Antivirus
    Reset your iPod - Press Menu and Center Button for about 10 secs till the Apple logo comes ON then release the buttons. Select you language.
    Connect your iPod to a high power USB 2.0 Port and not to any USB hub. (if you using a Mac, not on the Keyboard USB port)
    What do you see on the iPod Display - should be sychonisation  for a few secs then do not disconnect screen.
    if iTunes comes up restore it.
    After restore - Start back your antivirus and connect the Internet.
    If this doesn't work, refer to this link on do a disk diagnostic by tt2 to chack the health of your hardisk.
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/17028567#17028567
    if you hardisk is still healthy then do reformat your Hardisk.

  • How to Connect Nokia 2330 Classic with laptop or p...

    Hi All
    I just bought my new nokia 2330 last week, when i try to connect my 2330 classic with my laptop the phone is not detacting.Pls help me in this regard. We connet 2330 with laptop or pc with cable or not???
    - Shree

    Hi all.
    First and all, be aware that there are dozens of Nokia phones, and all have different specifications. If someone buys a phone to take pictures, then the 2330C is a bad choice. The port that the device has, is not a USB port. It is a Nokia proprietary port for service only.
    @shreeg and others with similar issues (altough this is late): check for Bluetooth compatibility first at http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/pc-suites/compatibility-and-download
    @mojojo and others with similar issues (altough this is late): troubleshoot your laptop and mobile phone Bluetooth. Check if your BT drivers are compatible with Nokia suites. Test them with other BT devices (i.e. BT headset, other phone). Also test the pairing at a different location. BT is a radio wave based connection which can suffer from external interference caused by other radio waves emitting devices, or by electromagnetic or electrostatic fields nearby (these are caused by almost anything that runs on electric power)
    @everyone: my advise is for you to check the following web page for info on device specs http://www.forum.nokia.com/Devices/Device_specifications/matrix_all_1.html to know which type of local connections are available on the devices. It's on the "Local connectivity" section.

    In an this post I will describe how to perform a classic Mac OS search and give example results. You may perform the search with or without the spotlight database. This search falls under the smart folder implementation introduced with Tiger. I have done all my testing with Mac OS 10.4.11. I assume this will work with any version of Tiger or Leopard.
    The results will be slightly different with a spotlight database on the partition and without a database on the partition. With a database, you will not see Unix hidden files. You may be able to use all of the spotlight special find features. I did not test much with the spotlight special fields. Without a database, using the special features nulls out the search and the "Search for" field seems to give the same result as using the name field.
    This search technique was obscured by all the hoopla over spotlight. Authors of Tiger books avoided mentioning the Classic search interface. When I looked in Leopard books I noticed some authors put back information on the Classic search interface.
    For testing I created these files
    For testing I created a test "z-find" folder on my Macintosh-HD, containing files and folders with various attributes, then copied it over to my Spotless flash drive. This means both searches searched for the same file names.
    I put these files on my Macintosh-HD and Spotless partitions.
    Here is the list of files:

    *Click on the Desktop to access the Finder.*
    *Click on File then click on Find. (Command-F)*
    Pick what folder you wished to search. With Tiger you can click on Others... to select a folder. Click on the plus sign to select the folder you wish to search. Be sure the selected folder in the list is the only one checked. In the first example I picked: /Users/mac/Desktop/iMac/z-find/
    {color:purple}The "Search for" field on the first line is used for spotlight. Avoid using this box.{color}
    *Click on the double arrow to the right of the first option (Kind). Go down to the name field.*
    *Change the 2nd pop down field to Contains.*
    *You can now search for the contents of a filename.* I searched for name contains: bash-
    To see the Classic display format, click on the three line icon which is located on the upper left of the window (list view). There is a small refresh icon on the lower right of the window.

    bash-backup.html
    bash-batChmod.html

    bash-copy-invisible-attr    {folder}
    bash-folder__green    {folder and labeled with the Green attribute}

    There are some downsides. Initially, the search will find both visible and invisible Mac OS files. However, the search seems to get confused between visible and invisible files when you select the visibility option. It seems to get the visible correct when you use visible but when you add invisible things get confused. Sometimes it will find invisible files and sometimes it won't. I used both the Unix invisible files and the Mac OS X visiblity attribute.
    In putting the same search in the upper right-hand-corner spotlight search and in the Search for field, I did not get the same results. The spotlight search returned a 182 items while the with Search for field returned 179 items. The Search for field seemed to miss items in the mail boxes. With the Search for search you could display spotlight results in the classic format.
    I did a successful search on my fat32 flash drive.
    Perform the Classic Mac OS search without the spotlight database.
    If you turn off spotlight indexing on a volume and delete the spotlight index, then Mac OS Tiger reverts to the prior Mac OS search facility. In the preferences for spotlight, you let searching continued on the partition.
    Here is what I did:
    I installed the spotless application.
    http://www.fixamac.net/software/spot/
    I use spotless to configure spotlight. Click on disabled indexing then click on delete index files.
    !http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3527/3239751839_c760c46628.jpg?v=0!
    Spotless creates the .Spotlight-V100 directory with the _IndexPolicy.plist and _rules.plist to prevent indexing on the partition.
    I performed the search for files containing "bash-" in the name field.

    bash-copy    {folder}
    bash-folder__green    {folder and labeled with the Green attribute}
    ping_command-bash-copy.html
    Limitations:
    Does not search in Unix hidden folders. That is folders beginning with a period (.) .
    Sometimes will find files beginning with a period (.).
    Does not find Mac OS invisible files.
    Using the special features nulls out the search.

  • Windows Formatted iPod Classic Migration to Mac

    I have a Windows formatted iPod Classic, and Just got a macbook pro. How can i transfer all my music from the iPod Classic to the macbook?

    Hello JDFSX,
    There are several ways you can pull the music off your iPod and onto iTunes. The first link below provides step-by-step instructions for the direct method if you have a PC as well as a few third party applications (for both the Mac and PC) if you choose to go that route instead. You can also do a simple Google search for "copy music from iPod to computer" and you should receive a number of sites that can help you out.
    Just make sure that when you have your iPod plugged into your computer, that you don't hit "Erase and Sync" before completing the task of copying your music over.
    Also, if you have any purchased music, you will probably have to re-authorize your computer by heading to the Store drop down menu and choosing "Authorize computer."

  • Messenger on 2330 classic

    Hi all,
    I have setup the IMAP client on the 2330 classic for my gmail account and it works just fine. However I am having difficulty getting the Messenger client to work.
    When I try and use Messenger it always comes up '! Check connection settings'. I've looked all over the phone but cannot find anything relevent. I have al;so tried it while connected to the mailbox. I have no problems connecting to internet with any other apps.
    I'm using Mig33 at the moment, and although it's good I would like to use the built-in features where possible because of the low available memory on this phone.
    Anyone know how to get it going? Would appreciate some help.
    Regards.

    The screen layout is fixed, this is the same for all Nokia Series 40 phones.
    Some phones have an "Active standby" or "Home screen" feature which would allow you to put other things, including the calendar, into the default screen but the very basic 2330 isn't one of these.

  • Transferring songs from a Windows-formatted iPod classic to iTunes on Mac

    Hi everybody, I'm curious to see if this is even possible. My husband's Windows laptop died for the second time in three years, so he decided to switch to a Mac after seeing my MacBook last longer than both of his Windows laptops. :o) Anyway, now that the Windows hard drive is dead-and no, he didn't back up his songs to CD-he wants to transfer the songs on his Windows-formatted iPod Classic to iTunes on his Mac. I tried Yamipod, but it said "firmware unsupported" and quit-I suspect the Windows format had something to do with it. He has a lot of songs ripped from CDs and he doesn't want to lose them or have to spend time re-ripping them. Any ideas?
    Thanks for your help!

    same thing happened to me. I purchased iPod Access from the internet (for about $15). This program will let you transfer your music and playlists from your iPod to your library
