  • How to remove sd card from iMac

hi how to remove sd card from imac ,thanks

If your machine is in warranty, be careful not to do anything more that might damage it when removing it from the optical drive.  You might even be able to convince an authorized service technician to carefully remove it under warranty from the optical drive.  It is a design issue that lets people accidentally insert the SD card in the optical drive.   Of course if that's the only copy of your information on the SD card, be sure to let them know that, so they are extra careful not to damage it when removing it.

How do I remove a charge card from my account

If you only want the free apps, take a look here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is  critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free apps without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)

  • How to format Memory card in N79 and 5630 Xpressmu...

    Hi everyone,
I am using N79 amd 5630 Xpressmusic. Can any body tell me how to format the memory card in these sets. Coz in file manager there is no option to format memory card.
    Regards

    Hi Sappal,
To format the memory card follow the below procedure:
    1. Go to "File Manager-> Memory Card" (I've named the memory card as N79).
    2. You will need to open the memory card and then go to its "Options" menu.
    3. Go to "Memory Card Options-> Format" and confirm.
Please note that the memory card will not get formatted unless every application is closed and you have not installed any third party applications on it. For this, you will have to uninstall any third party applications and only then proceed with the memory card formatting procedure.

  • Need explicit instructions on how to eject SD card from slot

Just got the iMac and tried downloading pics off my SD card.  Can't find the "Finder" to eject the SD card from the slot.  Can someone give me step by step instructions?  Thank you!

"How do I remove a card from the SD card slot?
As with any removable media device, allow any data transfer to SD media to complete before removing the card. When removing the card, the best way to insure the integrity of your data is to drag the icon that represents the card to the Trash, then remove the card from the slot after the icon disappears from your desktop."

  • Help to format memory card (Nokia 5300)

    Hi everyone.
I have a problem with my Nokia 5300. The problem occurred about two weeks ago and then escalates up to today, where it now has gone all bad.
The problem is my memory card. I haven’t changed it, so it is the original card that came with the phone.
It started with, that my phone couldn’t find my memory card. Then I had to shut down the phone and start it up again. It worked.
But now, I can’t get my phone to see the card. I’ve tried to take the card out of the phone and then inserted it again.
When I do that, the phone can see the card, but when I try to enter it, it says that the card isn’t formatted and therefore can’t be accessed.
According to the Nokia 5300 manual, I’ve to enter the memory card to format it – so it’s quite a paradox. I would like to back my card up, but that doesn’t seem to be a possibility.
Is there a way to format the memory card or is there someone with a explanation and/or a solutions to this problem? It’s really frustrating.
I just updated my phone, so the newest version of the software is installed. I’ve backup my contacts, messages and calendar – and some of the pictures from my memory card. I could access it in the beginning of the backup / update, but suddenly it disappeared.
    Thanks
    - Emil

  • How to remove credit card from iTunes account

I have been trying to download FREE apps and recently it says its not valid and to change it. I don't have a real card or money to spend for an iTunes card. I have looked all over the web and nothing useful. I don't have a computer nor have one to use. I would think after paying money for a product and service it would work properly, even more so for how much these are worked on.

  • How to format one partition from existing filesysem

    Hi All,
I want to install ASM on my RHEL machine. There is one disk which has been partitioned into regular filesystem as follows:
    [root@*** /]# fdisk -l
    Disk /dev/hda: 644.2 GB, 644245094400 bytes
    255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 78325 cylinders
    Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Device Boot      Start         End      Blocks   Id  System
    /dev/hda1   *           1          25      200781   83  Linux
    /dev/hda2              26       57392   460800427+  83  Linux
    /dev/hda3           57393       61471    32764567+  82  Linux swap / Solaris
    /dev/hda4           61472       78325   135379755    5  Extended
    /dev/hda5           61472       78325   135379723+  83  Linux
My question is, how can I format and merge a couple of partitions from these to create a volume for ASM? Is it even possible?
    Regards,
    Vinod

It can be done as below:
    #fdisk /dev/hda
    p
    --To print partitions
    d
--To delete partition, chose 2[This will erase the contents in it]
    n
    --Create new partition
choose p to create primary partition
now /dev/hda1 can be used as  ASM disk.
    #chown oracle:oinstall /dev/hda1
login to ASM and update the asm_diskstring to include this disk and run "select* from v$asm_disk" we can see this new disk as CANDIDATE Or Provisioned
    Thanks,

Dangerous - the default partition type of a newly created partition is ext3. Which means the kernel will view that partition as a regular file system - and will attempt to mount and use it. A sysadmin will not know, looking at the type of partition, that it is not an ext file system, but in fact a raw device.
One needs to avoid this confusion - as it easily can trash your entire database's storage (diskgroup). With the only option being to restore backups that likely is out of date, or non-existent. (given the lackadaisical attitude to use a file system partition as a raw device, it is a reasonable assumption that backups are in a similar sorry state)
PS. and the question was how to use /dev/hda2 - you described removing that partition and then using /dev/hda1 (which will likely trash the root file system).
