Hey, so I must have downloaded divx player a month or go or so but dont remember much about doing it and deleted it because i didnt use it, i deleted the files for it and when i search for divx on my mac nothing comes up anymore which is then why i assumed it had fully deleted but i still get notifactions and frequent prompts on the updastes, how do i fix this? thanks

I recently purchased a new computer which has Windows 7. I installed my CS4 software and it was running perfectly until additional software was installed and in the process of that we had a circuit breaker trip and the computer shut down. In order to get things back to normal at startup I had to reset to a previous time. This made a mess of the Creative Suite. I went through the uninstall process as well as the unistall color profiles rollback error when I ran into problems unistalling and trying to repair.
At this point I cannot use elements of the suite (Error says: The localized resource files for this application could not be loaded. Please reinstall or repair the application and try again.) As previously stated...I have tried to uninstall and tried to repair. Hoping that someone can advise me on how to fully unintall so that I can start from the beginning again.
Have tried Adobe Support but have spent several hours on hold without a live person. I appreciate any help.

How to restore bookmarks after fully uninstalling?

Hello, I accidentally fully uninstalled my firefox and cleared all the settings but I forgot to backup my bookmarks. Can I recover my bookmarks? I need them cause lots of important materials for my work was bookmarked there. Any kind of help will be greatly appreciated. And I used Iobit Uninstaller in advanced mode to uninstall firefox. Please help.

Best is to first find and undelete the previous profile folder and then undelete the bookmarkbackups folder in it with the JSON backups (bookmarks-####-##-##.json)
If you can recover an uncorrupted JSON back then you can use it to restore the bookmarks.

How to fully remove programs?

hi all,
I've just installed realplayer from their site, and I just thought: how do I remove it? If I ever need to uninstall any program I haven't installed via pacman fully, and the corresponding installer does not have an "uninstall" option, what do I do?
Does this mean that the problem with Windows folders cluttering and filling with junk still hapens in linux? The perfect solution would be to remove everything related to the program fully, even the symlinks if any.

The different is the software will be manage by pacman so you can easily wipe out any file created when installing the software. This mean you will not have to delete all the files manually, just type pacman -Rcns $pkgname and all the installed files will be deleted (except maybe some configuration files in your home directory).

Why can't I fully uninstall Muse?

I asked this earlier but failed to provide necessary relevant information.
I am running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I installed CC Desktop, then Muse, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop on trial version to see if it was worth going to the subsctiption from my CS5.5 Standard. Ai, Ps and Id installed fine but something happened when I installed Muse. I had to reinstall it. Then my CC Desktop App stopped working and only showed a white pop-up extension (which it still does) so I went about uninstalling everything. Ai, Id and Ps uninstalled without incident but I cannot FULLY uninstall Muse.
I REALLY want to try the subscription but I am having serious reservations if this is the kind of trouble I am going to have. How do I get rid of Muse and also how do I get the Desktop extension to load properly?

PROBLEM #1 - you cannot uninstall trial versions. When you do, you revoke the 30-day trial on that computer. There's no going back to the trial unless you install trials on a different computer. Sorry. But Adobe does this for obvious reasons. If you could uninstall and re-install trials, nobody would purchase software.

How to really uninstall iTunes

I had a glitch on the initial install of iTunes and now it won't work correctly. Went through the uninstall process Apple recommends and noticed that on re-install it automatically remembers the options I configured the first time through, i.e. it never fully uninstalled.
Does anyone know how to completely and totally clear iTunes out so that a re-install will treat it like a clean install?

Hi have tried the above to clear all files and programs only one file stayed on computer because it wouldnt delete so i renamed it including the folder it was in.
then installed quicktime stand alone first but computer said a newer version was already installed, Then i reinstalled itunes 7 but problem is still there.

I'm trying to fully uninstall Quicktime, and I get a message that says "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable". I've tried defragmenting my hard drive. How can I remove the various files that are preventing uninstallation?

That's usually caused by a damaged QuickTime.msi
Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from Microsoft:

Now run the utility ("Start > All programs > Windows Install CleanUp"). In the list of programs that appear in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries, and click "Remove". Quit out of CleanUp.
Next we'll clear away the leftover program files and folders. Their locations vary depending on whether you've got a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Vista.
*32-bit Vista*
Restart the PC.
Open Local Disk C: or whichever drive your program files are installed on.
Open the "Program Files" folder.
Right-click the "QuickTime" folder (if it still exists) and select Delete.
Go back into Local Disk C: or whichever drive your Operating System files are installed on.
Open the "Windows" folder.
Open the "system32" folder.
Right-click on the QuickTime file (if it still exists) and select "Delete".
Right-click on the QuickTimeVR file (if it still exists) and select "Delete".
*64-bit Vista*
Restart the PC.
Open Local Disk C: or whichever drive your program files are installed on.
Open the "Program Files (x86)" folder.

This is my first time using a Mac, so I'm still learning how everything works. It took me a while to discover you had to drag programs to the "Applications" folder to install them.
How would I uninstall a program? Is it a simple matter of dragging the program to the "Trash", or is it more involved like it is on Windows?

For a few applications, to completely eradicate them you can do spotlight searches to find helper applications associated with the app you're trying to fully delete. For instance, if you want to get rid of Photoshop, there are a few of updater programs and internet plugin files that are associated with photoshop that you'll have to search for (or find some other way) and uninstall. Luckily, most apps bundle the helper programs in them (such as iTunes and the iTunesHelper app) so if you delete the main application, all the others go with it. I love that OS X can have very complex applications all wrapped up in one package instead of requiring uninstallers. However, for system enhancing utilities (preference panes, etc) the apps have to bury plugins and extensions in the system folders, but as folks mentioned these usually come with uninstallers.

HT4759 How to Completely Uninstall iCloud? Office 2007 Save As Crashes

I can no longer use "Save As" in Office 2007 since I enabled ICloud. Word and Excel Crash. And Outlook does not seem to be about to send more than one email at a time. I have to select the Send/Receive button right after I create a new email. If I wait and create a second email, the first email in the outbox changes status from ready to send to cannot send. And even if I open it and try to send it, it will not send. I have to re-create it.
I want to know how to thoroughly uninstall ICloud. Other posters on Microsoft (Girish M) and Apple (SkinnyNick) have indicated that the problem is related to ICloud. And I can confirm that I started having problems right after enabling ICloud. Here are the references:

I spent a lot of time trying to trouble shoot this problem. I ran the Office install to repair. This did not work. I uninstalled all Office 2007 related products. I then manually purged all directories relating to office including the Common Shared Directories. Then, I ran Microsoft's FixIt to uninstall Office to make sure everything was uninstalled. Then, I reinstalled Office 2007 and it still failed. I thought about installing Office 2010, but the second post (above SkinnyNick) indicates that this would not work.
So, I am looking for a way to uninstall iCloud including that parts that is causing this problem. Now, the second post (above) from
SkinnyNick) says that he tried to uninstall iCloud but this did not fix the problem. He finally reconfigured iCloud by de-selecting Outlook, but I would rather completely remove iCloud.
Can anyone provide instructions on how to completely remove iCloud so that my Office 2007 products will function again using Save As?

As a Windows Application Developer who has more than 28 years of professional development experience, I can tell you that anything is possible in terms of how developers implement their applications. I have seen just about everything under the sun, and it would not surprise me if Apple's iCloud not only places files in key Windows directories, but it may use configuration information in a file as opposed to the Window Registry to control how their application behaves. And this would prevent “System Restore" from fixing the problem. Configuration information can be stored in many places. And, even if you do use the Windows Registry to control how your application works, you can key off of new files (like a user profile file) to control how your application to behaves. How do I uninstall Edge Reflow CC?

I recently downloaded the app because I was curious about using it. Now I'm having issues on my print files (end of file) and the stability of Photoshop CC when I do things like adding layer masks and vector masks. When I look at the dump for output it's indicating that I'm using an unsupported layer type due to Reflow.
How can I uninstall Edge Reflow CC? I have an uninstaller for Edge Animate CC, but not one for Edge Reflow CC.

I said dump, I meant log. I didn't get a screenshot of the message. It said something to the effect of Generator had and error and close Photoshop. When I tried to save my files I received unexpected end of file encountered upon reopening the files upon restarting Photoshop. The first time I received a message was on creation of a layer mask from a vector path. The second time was in a different file, I was converting the vector path to a vector mask. Luckily I saved the original file. It's just a jpg. I was eventually able to edit the file (3 attempts).

You can install CC on two computers and use them both (even different OS if needed)
You can also sign out with your Adobe Creative Cloud application on one computer and log in on another computer, the max of active systems is 2 but it should be possible to have them on multiple systems with signing in and out.
