You can generate an IDOC from invoice cancellation.Define a new "Z" output type for this cancellation billing document type and select the medium as 5(EDI).Check with your ABAPer for this.

When PI receives idoc from ECC it will be in xml format.
Are you telling that you want to convert this xml to .dtd file?
check this for converting xml into .dtd file.

Can any one please tell me How to Trigger an IDOC from SAP R/3 to two XI systems at a time.
My current production R/3 system sends a DELVRY03 IDOC to Production XI system ( Name : XIP) .
I would like to route the same IDOC from production R/3 system to my Quality XI System ( Name XIQ) .
Problem is production R/3 system triggers an IDOC once. We need to write a logic to route the same to two different systems
Can any one tell me how can we do that ?

Do you have connectivity between your production & XIQ?
What does "connectivity" mean?
1. RFC destination is maintained.
2. Port defined for the RFC destination.
If no, create these. (Search in SDN for details).
If yes, proceed:
1. Define the logical system for XIQ.(BD54)
2. Define the same as your partner profile. (WE20). Add the message type SYNCH with the port for XIQ.(This is imp)
3. Create a distribution model view with sender as "your production" & receiver as XIQ.
3.1. Add the messages which you want to distribute.
3.2 Generate Partner profiles.
No coding is reqd. for this.

Hi,
can any one tell how to create inbound Idoc from XML file.
we have xml file in application server Ex. /usr/INT/SMS/PAYTEXT.xml' we want to generate inbound idoc from this file.we are successfully able to generate outbound XML file from outbound Idoc by using the XML port. But not able to generate idoc from XML file by using we19 or we16.
Please let me know the process to trigger inbound Idoc with out using XI and any other components.

Hi .. Did either of you get a result on this?
My question is the same really .. I am testing with WE19 and it seems SAP cannot accept an XML inbound file as standard.
I see lots of mention of using a Function Module.
Am I correct in saying therefore that ABAP development is required to create a program to run the FM and process the idoc?
Or is there something tht can be done with Standard SAP?

You could use XMLQuery to return the data from your tables as XML, that would give you a CLOB.
An example using the SCOTT schema might be like this:

1. Why the length of each command is equal to EF (239 bytes)? Maybe 239 bytes + Mac len + cla, ins, p1,p2, cmdLen. I mean, will the length always be EF?
2. C48203DE - what is it. In the GP221 i found:
'C4' 1-n Load File Data Block Mandatory. So if it is right, is the 8203DE - Load File Data Block? Because real data from my ijc-file starts after DE - 01001...
3. Is all data from the file used for load? (i notised that the last command does'nt used all the rest bytes)

Hi,
You can create a Z-program and call Function Module MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE.
You can make a call to this FM to send the Idoc as many times as u have plants in your Sales Order.
You can call FM IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDRSP to fill the IDoc structure.
Then u can keep the materials of only that plant for which u want to pass on the information.

Well, i never try this but logically it does make sense
First ,When You CLick Add Button in Form Delivery,you have to catch some variable from delivery data that will be used for Invoice.
Second ,you add some DI programming with document object ( and off course its line item ) to add to new invoice with you variable from delivery 'but' dont forget to fill the baseentry basetype and baseline property ( in document_line object ) with delivery document info and in closed property in document object and invtstatus (using recordset i dont know that this property exist in document object), to make sure that the invoice is really base on Delivery.
Dont Forget To Add The Journal Object For Invoice .
After That You add some come to activate toolbar target
SBOApplication.ActivateMenuItem "5899"
That's All.Hopefully can help
The Next Problem Occured is What IF we dont create invoice from delivery first ( not based on base document ) we create invoice directly for one time customer use ( we're not using Form One Time Customer ? )

I have a requirement where i have to stop the idoc from being processed in an user exit.
I have to stop the idoc and give a suitable status message over there.

You need to find aproper EXIT.
The avaliable options for you in the exit is
IDOC_DATA
Now if i pick the segment having shiped qty from the data record and check the same with the delivery qty your objective is half done.
When the condition fails you need to update the IDOC with Error 51 saying that this is not possible .
for that you need to bring your logic as
LOOP AT IDOC_CONTROL.
PERFORM LOGIC...
ENDLOOP.
FOR LOGIC .
All the criteria and then update the status of the IDOC then error is generated and updated to the IDOc.
PERFORM updatestatusidoc.
endform logic.

Could someone please suggest the best practices of how to generate an XML file from a resultset? I am developing a web application in Java with Oracle database and one of my tasks is to generate an XML file when the user, for example, click a "download as XML" button on the JSP. The application is basically like an Order with line items. I am using Struts and my first thought has been to have an action class which will extend struts's DownloadAction and through StAX's Iterator API to create an XML file. I intend to have a POJO which will have properties of all columns of my order and line items tables so that for each order I get all line items and:
1. Write order details then
2. Through an iterator write line items of that order to an XML file.
I will greatly appreciate for comments or suggestions on the best way to do this through any pointers on the Web.
