How to generate iMovie thumbnails

Hello,
When i first started my iMovie project, i chose not to generate thumbnails for my video to save me time on the front end, and now I really need to generate them cause i am having trouble matching up my audio and video (recorded on seperate devices). How can I generate thumbnails for my clips? I can't seem to find that option anywhere!

You might be able to trick iMovie by temporarily moving that project folder out of the following location:
Mac HD > Users > (your home folder) > Movies > iMovie Projects > (look for the name of the project that blew-up)
Drag that project folder to the Desktop for the time being. Launch iMovie and see if it still tries to create the Project Thumbnails. If it gets past any error messages or other house keeping, you can create a new project. Otherwise, quit iMovie. Drag that project folder from the desktop BACK into your iMovie Projects folder. Try launching iMovie again and see if it gets stuck generating the Thumbnails.

I suspect that we are in a no win situation here - an Elements Organizer 12 issue.
With Elements Organizer 11, 10, and 9, I can bring your MPEG2.mpg into the Elements Organizer with thumbnail with
image. I cannot for Elements 12. And, I am working with the same MPEG2.mpg in Elements Organizer 9.0/9.0.1, 10, 11,
and 12 on the same computer. In the morning, I will look Elements Organizer 13 as well.
In my work with 12, this MPEG2.mpg consistently crashed the Elements Organizer 12.
It is difficult to explain these results by invoking a missing codec theory since all was done with the same sample on the
same computer.

After installing PSE 8 Windows 7 no longer generates mpg thumbnails

I recently noticed that Windows 7 was no longer producing thumbnails of .mpg files in Windows Explorer. Much troubleshooting produced no solution. Finally I un-installed PSE8, and immediately Windows was able to generate mpg thumbnails again.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a solution (besides un-installing PSE8)? By the way, I have PSE 7 installed and there is not effect on thumbnail generation in Windows Explorer.

Since posting my original message, I have deleted PRE8 and PSE8. I can't remember if PSE8 Organizer was able to make thumbnails for mpg files or not. I'm sorry that I can't answer your question more clearly. I did not want to leave PSE8 and PRE8 installed on my computer because of the problem I described above of how it affected Windows Explorer's ability to create mpg thumbnails. So, I have removed PRE8 and PSE8 from my computer.
After installing PRE8 and PSE8 have you found any problems with Windows Explorer creating mpg thumbnails?

Cfpdf don't generate correct thumbnails of CMYK files after installing CF 10 update 1

Hi,
We have been using cfpdf to generate a thumbnail from a 1-page PDF file since years, first with CF 8, and now with CF 10. It runs smoothly until yesterday, when we applied the Update 1 (can't assure that there is a correllation, but it's the only thing that has changed: we used the same program to generate the PDFs, and no other changes has been made on the server side).
Since the update, thumbnail are generated, but almost all text and images are wiped.
This is what was generated before the update:

The code we use is like this:

You can get the PDF here (not the same that the above images, but created exactly in the same way).
PDF file are created with Acrobat Distiller 7.0.5, and have version 1.6 (Acrobat 7.x). Color are in CMYK mode.
If I convert the CMYK colours of the PDF file to RGB, then cfpdf generates the thumbnail, but with weird colours. Alas, in production we can't send RGB PDFs to generate the thumbnails.
We have checked with simpler PDFs created with OpenOffice.org 3.2 (version 1.4 Acrobat 5.x), and Acrobat Distiller 9.0.0 (version 1.5 Acrobat 6.x), both of them with RGB colours, and with those cfpdf worked fine and generate a correct image.
We have CF10 Standard Edition deployed on a virtual machine over CentOS 6.3 64 bits, and although I know CentOS is not officially suportted, I would really appreciate if somebody could reproduce this behaviour over any officially supported Linux enviroment. I've tried on Windows 7 64 bits with the Developer Edition, and cfpdf works as expected, with and without the CF 10 upgrade.

How to edit slideshow thumbnail bar

Hi
Does anyone know how to edit the thumbnail preview bar that is generated on the photo album slideshows. I know you have the choice to click on the two buttons between the "back to album" and "download" text to hide the bar, but I would far rather either not have it at all, or be able to set it not to be shown as the default.
I've scoured here and the web, but cannot find an answer.
Any help gratefully received

You could use a flash based slideshow instead of Apples. Examples of them are here:

One 'simple' way is by using the DBMS_SCHEDULER db package and the procedure CREATE_JOB(....) using as job_type the value 'EXECUTABLE'...
Read for further info in 'PL/SQL Packages and Types Reference'.
If you have access to OEM ... you can configure this there using wizard.....
Other way is to use the External Procedure call capabiblity of Oracle DB Server...:

Could someone please suggest the best practices of how to generate an XML file from a resultset? I am developing a web application in Java with Oracle database and one of my tasks is to generate an XML file when the user, for example, click a "download as XML" button on the JSP. The application is basically like an Order with line items. I am using Struts and my first thought has been to have an action class which will extend struts's DownloadAction and through StAX's Iterator API to create an XML file. I intend to have a POJO which will have properties of all columns of my order and line items tables so that for each order I get all line items and:
1. Write order details then
2. Through an iterator write line items of that order to an XML file.
I will greatly appreciate for comments or suggestions on the best way to do this through any pointers on the Web.

I need help to generate a report. In an accounting report, I need to make sum for each client regarding outstanding balance. The format of report is following:

My question is how to generate total payment and total outstanding balancefor every pair of client and debtor. And there are multiple pairs. I tried to use group by, but how can I display every invoice tuple as well in the report?

You can create the Report directly in PDF by setting some of the Report Parameters
i.e. DESTYPE, DESNAME AND DESFORMAT as follows before calling the Report.

How to generate a report in pdf from a stored proc

Hi, i need guidance on how to generate a report in pdf from an oracle stored proc.
The environment is oracle 10gas + 10gdb.
On a specific event, a PL/SQL stored procedure is called to do some processing and at the end of the processing to generate report which has to be sent to the printer (and optionally previewed by the user).
Can anyone assist me with this?

I am using Oraclereports 10g version, i know desformat=spreadsheet will create single worksheet with out pagination, but my requirment is like the output should be generated in .xls file, and each worksheet will have both data and graphs.
rdf paperlayout format will not workout for generating multiple worksheets.
Is it possible to create multiple worksheets by using .jsp weblayout(web source) in oracle reports10g. If possible please provide me some examples
