How to get a color from point in layout (InDesign)?

Hi All,
I am trying to find RGB value of a color at a mouse location same as Eye-Dropper tool, I checked some HitTest methods but couldn't figure out which interface will give me color?
Any pointers in right direction would be appreciated.

In my good old Windows InDesign CS2 it works as follows:
1. Open Window > Colour
2. Press ALT and click by Eyedropper at any position
3. Read RGB numbers
This is valid for sequential measurement. Read helptext "Eyedropper".

Using photoshop (PS), make PS so you can see the colour you want, create a blank page in PS, any size does not matter, use the eyedropper tool in photoshop click inside the blank page and hold the mouse button down, move the mouse to the coloured area that you want and release mouse. As you move the mouse you will see the foreground colour change.
Photoshop will pick up the colour under the eyedropper.

Robot.getPixelColor() will work fine, but the problem you will have is getting the mouse set to the correct location and getting your application to know where it is: you can do it with win32 calls and JNI. Here are a few that I have found helpful--they are in a VB format:

How to get RGB value from pixel of an image.

hi, i need a little help... Is there any EASY way to get RGB value from point of an image? I searched javadoc but i only found very complex getRGB method working only with regions, and saving data into arrays.
Is there any other way that can use for example image.getGraphics() (so, i mean to get RGB from point of Graphics object) ?
Btw.: If you know, how Sprite.collidesWith(Sprite s, Boolean pixellevel) is working (with pixellevel = true), please write me. It could solve my problem too.

      i have three input fields and one search button in my main window. when i click search button it should display popup window.whenever i click on selected row of the popup window table ,values should be visible in my main window input fields.(normal tables)
   now i am able to display popup window with values.How to get the values from popup window now.
   I can anybody explain me clearly.

Every webdynpro component has a global controller called the component controller which is visible to all other controllers within the component.So whenever you want to share some data in between 2 different views you can just make it a point to use the component controller's context for the same. For your requirement (within your popups view context) you will have have to copy the component controllers context to your view. You then will have to (programmatically) fill this context with your desired data in this popup view. You can then be able to read this context from whichever view you want. I hope that this would have made it clear for you. Am also giving you an [example|http://****************/Tutorials/WebDynproABAP/Modalbox/page1.htm] which you can go through which would give you a perfect understanding of all this. In this example the user has an input field in the main view. The user enters a customer number & presses on a pushbutton. The corresponding sales orders are then displayed in a popup window for the user. The user can then select any sales order & press on a button in the popup. These values would then get copied to the table in the main view.

If the data is on a remote server (for example, PHP running on a web server, talking to a MySQL server) then you do this in an AIR application the same way you would do it with any Flex application (or ajax application, if you're building your AIR app in HTML/JS).
That's a broad answer, but in fact there are lots of ways to communicate between Flex and PHP. The most common and best in most cases is to use AMFPHP (http://amfphp.org/) or the new ZEND AMF support in the Zend Framework.

Could any body suggest how to get the values from the external file(Excel,CSV file,Text file) and pass it as varaiable in ecatt Test script.
Problem: Need to execute FK01-Vendor creation Transaction with multiple set of data .As per my understanding we could achive through Variants in Testdata set in eCatt .
But is there any way to store the data in excell file and get the data and pass it to FK01 Test scripts

How to get a formula from the user from a text box in a webpage

Hi. I would like to know how to get the formula from the user who enters in a textbox. This formula can have any number of variables starting with a and goes on.
The complexity of the formula can go upto sin, cos, ln, exp. Also user enters the minimum and maximum values of these variables. Based on a specific algorithm (which I use) I would calculate a *set of values, say 10, for each of these variables, substitute in the formula and based on the result of this formula, I select ONE suitable value for each of the variables.
I don't know how to get this formula (which most likely to be different each time) and substitute the values *which I found earlier.

The textbox is the easy part. It's no different than getting a String parameter out of an HTTP request.
The hard part is parsing the String into a "formula" for evaluation. You'll have to write a parser or find one.
Google for "Java math expression parser" and see what you get.
Or write your own with JavaCC.

You have a datatable in which each row is a question, correct?
Also in each row you have 5 possible answers that are in a radio, correct?
So,
You need to put in your datatable model, a question, and a list of answers (5 in yor case) and the selected one.
So you will have a get to the question, an SelectItem[] list to populate the radios and another get/set to the selected question.
ex:

Just use the appropriate API's for that. There are enough API's out which can read/parse/write XML, ini and properties files. E.g. JAXP or DOM4J for xml files, INI4J for ini files and Sun's own java.util.Properties for propertiesfiles.
JSF supports properties files as message bundle and resource bundle so that you can use them for error messages and/or localization.

getCurrentRow() would always return null if no setCurrentRow() is used.
Please check the page design and understand how many rows of VO are there. You can also use the following to get the row:

vo.next();
