How to get a newer version of the Universal Installer

I have a need fot and updated version of the Oracle 9 ODBC driver. The driver, however requires a newer version of the OUI (we have 2.2.0.16.0 and it wants 2.3.0.5.0a). I can't seem to find a seperate download just for the installer. Does anyone know of anyway to just get an update to the installer?

Hi, I need to install a newer ODBC driver for 3rd part software to connect to our new UTF-8 version of the database. I downloaded the version of ODBC I need, but when I try to install it I get an error saying I need a newer version of the Universal Installer. What version of the Oracle client are you using and what version of the Oracle ODBC driver are you trying to use?
I expect that the problem you're having is that Oracle changed the way that ODBC driver updates are packaged a couple years ago. Rather than being separate downloads, they included the ODBC driver updates in the Oracle client patchsets you can download from Metalink. That simplified life in that organizations that apply the full client patchset didn't have to separately install the ODBC driver updates. It complicated life in that if a client patchset updates the version of the OUI that is installed, the stand-alone install you can download from OTN requires the patched OUI which you only get by installing the client patchset from Metalink or getting a later version of Oracle that happens to include the later version of the OUI. Assuming your organization has a valid support contract, getting the client patchset from Metalink is most likely the way to go.

To begin with, you have the wrong forum - the iMacs covered by this forum were discontinued in 2005 and are incapable of running OS X 10.6.x
Try either iMac (Intel) or Snow Leopard forums.
To get more help, contributors will need to know what screensaver you're trying to use - is it one downloaded from the internet or one of the OS X default set?

How to debug with newer version of the player

I want to debug a fla project that runs correctly with the player supplied with flash CS5.5 but it crashes with player version 11.
I downloaded the debug version of the player 11 and i installed on my pc. Then i even tried to overwrite the flashplayer in /players/debug folder but when i open flash and try to debug my fla, it always start the debug with the player old version.
What am i doing wrong?

Ever since I downloaded this "update", I looks like itunes puked on my computer. I hate the way it looks, don't use the
"cloud". Spent some time in the 60's there and don't want to go back. Seems like just as soon as a person gets used
to using itunes, they change things. Man, its as bad as Gates Microsoft crap.

You can make the new iTunes look and feel much like v10 by using the following short cuts:
ALT shows the menu bar temorarily
CTRL+B show/hide menu bar
CTRL+S show/hide side bar
CTRL+/ show/hide status bar
To make search more like it was, click on magnifying glass in search bar and uncheck "search entire library"

If you have Java installed you have the documentation on your harddrive.

Make it easy to find and download the Universal Installer

I am just a lowly developer. Once in a while I have to go download and install a new version of something...like today I need a new ODBC driver. I often, like today, get an error message saying I need a new version of the Universal Installer...and then I have to spend time searching aroung the site for it, and I still haven't found it today. Couldn't this be a little easier?

Ensure you've downloaded the right version for your operating system and ensure you follow any installation notes. If it's still failing, then raise a SR on metalink to seek assistance or post on the forum Justin linked to with full details of what you're doing and what versions of everything you are using/trying to install etc.

How can i remove "A newer version of the app" pop up

I keep getting the following pop up message everytime i open iTunes or download a song.
"A newer version of the app "APP NAME SHOWN HERE" already exists in your iTunes Library. Are you sure you want to replace it with the one you are moving?"
Its really annoying to have to click on "Don't Replace" for every app I have. How can I stop this pop up message?

Download on another system, zip it, transfer to the PC's via a USB stick (or move it to an online service like Dropbox).
You may find that the PC has software that blocks it anyway, so it is safest to speak to your IT staff & ask them to install it.

How Can I update my app new version to the registered devices

Well, we have developed an in-house app using the Unity3d Game Engine. I'm using a Developer Enterprise account, and have already created the proper certificates, registered the devices (7 ipads) and generated the provisioning Profile. I have already clicked in the 'build an run', and the Unity Engine builds the app, that after is opened at the Xcode. I havel already fixed the bugs, and the app is working properly at the ipads.
The problem is, I will need to Update the app, and I need to Update them without have to get them and build them at my own Mac, since they do not stay with me. I've been strugling with that for a while. I have downloaded the provisioning profile and sent by e-mail to one of the ipads, the one I'm using to test, and instaled it, but the version of my app have not been updated.
I checked on my app icloud capabilities. The page about the Update of in-house apps is not very clear(http://help.apple.com/iosdeployment-apps/mac/1.1/#app43ad802c), and I'm new in the development for IOS.
How can update my app at this Ipads? Is there any step-by-step to follow, more eplanatory that the link above?

I didn't explained it correctly, I mean without getting the ipads, not the source code. I mean, at every time I need to launch a new version of the app, how can I update it through the internet, because I have installed my app running it at the ipads with the xcode, by usb. I'm using the enterprise program, so, as far as I know, the update is not through apple store.

Safari 1.3.2 is the newest version for Mac OS X 10.3.9. You need to upgrade to Mac OS X 10.4 to get a newer version; a G3's maximum OS is 10.4.11.
