How to get addresses into iphoto

My iphoto is ready to email my picture but I am unable to bring up all my email addresses.
Can someone advise me on how I can achieve that pls?

What email client are you using: iPhoto or Mail? If it's iPhoto you will have to open your Address Book separately and copy and paste the addresses into the iPhoto email template.
If you're using Mail then the email addresses are available from the Photo Browser button in the upper right hand corner of the email window:

It's best to export the photos to a folder and then drag the folder onto the memory card. Memory cards are usually formatted for PCs, FAT 32, which doesn't permit more than a limited number of files in the root directory. Putting the photos in a folder gets around that limitation.

Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.

And when I pick up the clips in Adobe Premiere Elements 12, it works too, but only without sound.
I think I tried everything for 4 days now.
Sound in my computer works perfectly
I go to where the video files are located and try to run them in VLC or in Nero Kwik so it works fine with both audio and video.
I have checked the sound card.

On what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 working on? Have you updated it from 12 to 12.1 Update using an opened project's Help Menu/Update. If not, please do so.
For your immediate problem.
What is the model/settings for the JVC camera that recorded you video. I want to get at the properties of your source video including the file extension.
Since you are getting video, but no audio, please download and install the free codec utility named GSpot to see what is shows
for your Audio Name and Status.

When you import your source file into the project, do you see any "conforming" activity going in a progress bar at the bottom right corner of the workspace?
If so, do you wait for it to complete before you move forward in the project?
Can you get sound in any of your Premiere Elements projects with this current JVC file or other?
Can we assume that your troubleshooting has included checking
a. Volume control within the project
b. Edit Menu/Preferences/Audio Hardware ASIO
Let us start here and then we can decide what next if necessary.

Anyone know how to get subtitles into Quicktime movies?

With Quicktime now supporting subtitles. Does anyone know how import subtitles into Quicktime movies?
After following the instructions from Apple's support pages for timed text, I tried pasting in timed text. This displays text below the video in an ugly black bar, but isn't recognised as subtitles by Quicktime. Ideally, I'd like to convert srt files into a compliant format, but without knowing the correct format, it's a little difficult.

There haven't been any really clear instructions on how to get subtitles into QuickTime movies yet. Apple has posted a QuickTime component that will convert an SCC file into QuickTime and you'll find that here.

I do not understand how to get text into a timeline in Premiere Pro. I can work in titles more or less, change fonts and sizes, but I do not get how to insert the text into the timeline. Am I even starting at the right place, going into "titles" first?

How to get Aperture and iPhoto to use Pentax *ist DL RAW images natively

Using some techniques that I found in various places in these forums, I am going to give step-by-step instructions to get Aperture and iPhoto to recognize Pentax *ist DL RAW images natively.
Note: This worked for me using 10.4.6 with the latest iPhoto 06 and Aperture updates. I do NOT know if this will work on older versions of OS X, iPhoto, or Aperture.
Note: If you also use a Pentax *ist DS camera, these instructions will probably disable support for that particular device due to the modifications made to a system file. Only complete these instructions if you want to use a *ist DL camera.
** These instructions involve modifying system level files using a HEX editor. If you are not comfortable with this, do NOT attempt to do this or you could kill your system. Remember, BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP. These steps worked great for me but follow at your own risk!! **
Ok, lets begin...
1) Download this great patch by macintosh_tech

This patch contains an updated raw.plist file which includes the RAW information for the *ist DL. This patch also contains an updated libRaw.dylib file and an updated Raw Presets file for Aperture.
** Do NOT copy the libRaw.dylib file from this patch to the folder listed in the patch Read_Me. This file did not work on my Intel-based Mac and crashed my system!!
I was able to modify my original libRaw.dylib file using a HEX editor to get it to work on my system. Instructions for this modification will follow.
2) Open the .dmg of the patch in a Finder window
3) Open a new finder window and browse to /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Frameworks/ImageIO.fra mework/Resources
*4) Backup the libRaw.dylib and Raw.plist files. Copy them to a safe location. For extra safety, you can just copy the whole Resources folder to a safe location (Make sure that you COPY it and dont MOVE it)*
5) Right-click the libRaw.dylib file and select "Get Info". Look at the bottom of the info window and expand the "Ownership & Permissions" tab. In this section, expand the "Details" tab. If the lock icon is in the locked position, click it to unlock it. Change "Owner" to your user name. If requested, enter your system password at this point. Close the info window. This step lets you modify the libRaw.dylib file.
6) Complete step 5 for the Raw.plist file.
7) Copy the Raw.plist file from the "Place In System Folder" folder from the patch to the Resources folder. It will ask you if you wnt to overwrite the existing file. Click "Replace".
8) Open a new finder window and browse to the /Users/YOURUSERNAME/Library/Application Support/Aperture/ folder.
* 9) Backup the "Raw Decode Presets.plist" file *
10) Copy the "Raw Decode Presets.plist" file from the "Place In Home Directory" folder from the patch to the /Users/YOURUSERNAME/Library/Application Support/Aperture/ folder. Click "replace" if it asks you.
11) Here's the tricky part. Download a HEX editor if you don't have one. I used 0xED. It is free and can be downloaded from

12) Open the libRaw.dylib file from the Resources folder in your HEX editor.
Note: This is your original libRaw.dylib file from your /System/Library/...../Resources/ folder, NOT the file from the patch.
Use the Find function and search for the string "Pentax *ist DS". Make sure you are using "Search Type: Text" (or equivilent in your editor) and that you use proper case. When you find this string, change the "S" in the "DS" to an "L". The string should now look like "Pentax *ist DL". Use the "Find Next" function to find the next instance of "Pentax *ist DS". Again, change the "S" to an "L". There should be two total instances that you need to change. Save the file and exit the editor.
13) Open Disk Utility and repair permissions. This will set the raw.plist and libRaw.dylib files back to their original permissions.
14) Reboot the system.
15) You should now be able to view .PEF files natively in Aperture and iPhoto. I appologize in advance for any typos. Let me know how this works, as this is my first tutorial of this nature.

In SD, how to get address etc. for a commercial Partner via ADDNR

I am new to SD (and new to ABAP for that matter) so have a lot to learn. I am to write a report program to produce a list of documents containing information about commercial partners and their full address. That is to say, town, country, postal code etc... Now here is a question in three parts:
1) Where and in what table do I find address information about a commercial partner (SD module)?
2) Is there a standard function module where I can supply it with the address number and get all the address and perhaps some other info in return?
3) I tried to understand the standard SAP program (i.e. FFP2) as to how it gets the partner address and other info. But very quickly I got lost in transfers between includes, programs, screens, sub screens, function calls, etc... The program seems to read the data from some mysterious table INTO a structure and then display it on the screen. Now, for future references, how do you figure out the source of information for a screen field when the field it is mapped onto a structure and not a real table?

With the help of ADRNR, you can go to ADRC table and get all the address information you need.
If you are trying to get address for a particular partner, then 1st get the ADRNR for that partner from VBPA and then go & check in ADRC table.

Hi - I have received lots of emails with photos from a recent party, but I cant seem to select them and save them into iphoto as a group - so far I have been selecting them one by one, but I am getting a bit weary of that! I am sure there a faster way.... any ideas?

When you're in Mail, click and hold on the Save button and it'll bring up a drop down showing all the photos that are attached to that particular email message. Then choose the "Add to iPhoto" option. Should save you a lot of time.

How can I import into iPhoto, from my iPad, albums created on the iPad using Photos App ?

I take about 300 photos a day using my iPad, as i'm filming to help keep continuity.
I then create albums under the scene number from some of the photos taken. Eventually i will build up all of the scene numbers in the script.
I want to import into iPhoto all of these albums.
How can this be done?
For some reason, when i plug my iPad into the laptop, it won't import screen grabs or all of the photos.
So the fact i have tried to be super organised, the apple software is now letting me down !
Can albums created in the iPad now be imported into iPhoto as albums to keep my organisation ?

That is not a feature of iPhoto - suggest to Apple - iPhoto Menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback.
With the new Photo app later this year the integration between IOS and the Mac will be much greater

Videos shot on my iPhone 3GS aren't getting imported into iPhoto

Videos I've shot on my iPhone 3GS aren't importing into iPhoto - but the photos are. Noticed this a few weeks ago, believe it occurred as a result of my migration from my old MBP to my new one in mid Jan of this year. Did a rebuild of iPhoto, killed the iPod Photo Cache, to no avail. I had been noticing an issue during the sync process, toward the end, I'd get some message that the "iPhone file 'iPhone' can't be found. Googled and saw that I should kill the iPod Photo cache and turn off "manually manage music and videos." This fixed the "file iPhone not found" issue. I killed all the photos and videos in my camera roll (none show up when I select iPhone in the iPhoto window - so a remaining corrupted photo isn't the issue) and then took a photo and video. The photo imports but not the video. Ideas?
Also, another question, If I go back to manually managing music and videos, then go back to the iPhoto tab in iTunes and select which albums from iPhoto to sync back to my iPhone, is it possible to sync videos (originally shot on my iPhone) back to my iPhone? I want to create an album in iPhoto titled "iPhone Videos."

Thanks for your reply, Graham. I actually solved it last night after 3 hours of fiddling with it. Cleared the photos out of my iPhone, cleaned up and reorganized my photos in iPhoto (deleted & recreated albums), deselected and reselected "manually manage music and videos" in iTunes, deleted iPod Photo Cache (again), rebuilt my iPhoto database and something out of this mix worked.
Something interesting happened when I opened iTunes (w/ iPhone docked) - it asked me to select my photo library (or something to that effect). When I selected "iPhoto Library" it gave me a dialog box saying this isn't the the library that was being synced (not the exact words, but close). I went ahead with it. The weird thing is that the library I selected is my only one - the one I've always used, so not sure what's up with that. Anyway, something worked. Photos and videos are all in the right place. Videos are also now syncing to iPhoto from my iPhone.
