How to get advanced search?

How do I reach the advanced search for either iTunes music or the AppStore?

In the iTunes Store, use the Power Search at the upper-right of the iTunes Store page, under the Quick Links. You can use that for both the iTunes Store and the App Store.

  • How to get the search field with API UCM  for a specific UCM Profil

    We have UCM 10g

    To obtain all the field for the checkIn is very simple with this service(IdcService=CHECKIN_NEW_FORM) and RIDC, but for search we don't find the idc service ?

    In fact, I don't want to send parameters to the search service but to get the fields to display an advanced search form of my own.
    Some rules and profiles filters the amount of fields availables and having a service that can do this filtering for me would be very useful.
    The check-in service do this for a trigger value (profile), but I can't find how UCM uses services to display the search form with the right fields depending on the rules and rights of the user.
    When I call a search form, UCM calls a service : http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xx/idc/idcplg?IdcService=GET_DOC_PAGE&Action=GetTemplatePage&Page=STANDARD_QUERY_PAGE&dpTriggerValue=xxx&dpDisplayLabel=xxx
    But with &IsSoap=1, the values returned are not good, some fields are missing, the field captions are not right... I guess UCM calls sub-services but which ones ?

    Did you have a look at the "Page layouts and site templates" page under Site Settings? On this page you can enable an option that limits the available page layouts to a specified list of page layouts.
    I have worked on a project where we needed to limit the page layouts available on a custom site definition. We implemented this in a feature, that enabled the "limited page layouts" option and populated the list of available page layouts upon activation.
    If this is the issue you are having you could simply turn off this option in the web interface or add the new page layouts manually, but you could also consider implementing a feature receiver that automatically adds your custom page layouts to the list
    of available layouts.

  • How to get cm:search to use the max attribute when creating the SQL query?

    When we use the max attribute in the cm:search tag, it does not seem to honor the max attribute when creating the SQL query. However, the result returned from the tag is limited to the number specified by the max attribute. Then the tag seems to work as intended, but the performance will be sub optimal when the SQL query returns unnecessary rows to the application.
    We use the cm:search tag to list the latest news (ordered by date), and with the current implementation we have to expect a decrease in performance over time as more news is published. But we can’t live with that. We need to do the constraint in the SQL query, not in the application.
    The sortBy attribute of cm:search is translated to “order by” in the SQL query, as expected.
    Is it possible to get cm:search to generate the SQL query with an addition of “where rownum <= maxRows”?

    The behavior of a repository in regards to the search tag's max results parameter is dependent on the underlying repository's implementation. That said, the OOTB repository in WLP does augment the generated SQL to limit the number of rows returned from the database. This is done in the parsing logic. This behavior may differ with other repository implementations.

    Can someone help me figure out a way to make advanced searches in iTunes, especially in the App Store? Is there a way to make searches in specific categories for example or for a specific type of functionality. From what I can see, there is only a very generic search engine that will return result from the whole iTunes system, often ending up with thousands of results.

  • How to get the search function to find the correct files

    i have long wondered if it was me or the system, but i am very clear finally that the search function *****.
    1) i try to find a word in a document.
    2) the system shows me several possibilities. chapters 16, 18, 21, etc...
    3) i then bring up each one individually and search each one. some of them DON'T EVEN HAVE THE WORD OR PHRASE IN THEM THAT I AM SEARCHING FOR. what's THAT all about?
    4) so i look at my real life book or search on the web. voila! there it is. chapter 14.
    5) i try again. both finder search and spotlight. NEITHER SHOW ME THE CORRECT DOCUMENT. neither shows me chapter 14. they still show 16, 18, 21, etc.
    this has always been VERY mysterious.
    it has happened hundreds of times over the years.
    i am VERY clear now it is NOT me and it IS the system.
    what use is it to get a list of documents that do not have the correct criteria and NOT get the document that has the correct criteria?
    is leopard as sucky?

    i have been cursing this search feature for years.
    i often try to find exact words in a particular book
    that i have on my computer as .doc files.
    and it often does not find what i want and it often
    finds what i do not want. so i am very confused.
    i went to system preferences. opened spotlight.
    there is nothing listed under 'don't search here'...
    and i have only a few things listed under 'search here.
    i do not understand how that link could help my
    problem.
    when i search for the word inside a document or
    inside a pdf, the programs find the word. but
    finder/spotlight does not find it.
    i still need more help.

    What do you want to do with the parameter inside the VO?
    Depending on the use case and jdev version there are other possible solutions.

  • How to get old search box back

    Yesterday my broswer updated and I now have version 36. This comes with a new search box. I had several search engines listed with different languages, now all i see in this stupid new version is the same icon, I can't see the labels anymore which had DE / FR / EN in. They all look the same now.
    How do I go back to the old version? Who designed this? Some yank who can't speak any language other than english? I think I'll do what my colleagues have done and switch to chrome.
    and why does this site require so many stupid steps to ask a question, and when I create an account is thinks i may have meant .com instead of .de for my email address... what kind of crap is this? Does everyone at mozilla live in america and only speak english?

    I'd like to write a format plug-in. Been poking around Adobe's web site and the Internet for a while, and all I could find were:
    1. Happy people from ancient times who easily wrote ancient format plug-ins, and put freeware source code on the web
    2. Nervous / confused people from 2000-2010 who couldn't get the Advanced SDK they needed
    I can't even seem to find *how* one would start the process of getting the Advanced SDK. Apparently, one needs to sign an NDA?
    I don't have an SDK CD-ROM, so I can't just read the docs that came with it. And, the "basic" SDK I downloaded included no mention of an Advanced SDK.

    I'm using CS4 with ASP / SQL. I have a search page which contains only 2 fields; one is user input (search term), the other is a drop down menu to define which column they want to search on.     Since AllowAutomaticASPXPageIndexing is a member in SPWeb members while not in Web members, we can not use Client Side Object Model with it. If you need to use it in client side, you need to create a web service for it.
