How to get all the Record Groups?

in the form i had created a record group. let us say they are:
RG_APPR_TYPE_CDE_LIST
RG_DRV_APPR_TYPE_CDE_LIST
RG_PROJ_MODE_CDE_LIST
RG_DRV_PROJ_MODE_CDE_LIST
RG_PROJ_STATUS_CDE_LIST
RG_DRV_PROJ_STATUS_CDE_LIST
RG_ORG_SUB_TYPE_CDE_LIST
RG_DRV_ORG_SUB_TYPE_CDE_LIST
RG_REGION_NUM_LIST
RG_DRV_REGION_NUM_LISTwhen the form hits on the clear button it invoke the CLEAR_FORM. i want to get all the record groups dynmically so i won't have to explicitly call the
Delete_Group('RG_APPR_TYPE_CDE_LIST');
Delete_Group('RG_DRV_APPR_TYPE_CDE_LIST');
Delete_Group('RG_PROJ_MODE_CDE_LIST');
...one by one. is there any other workaround? i appreciate any help on this. thanks.

In Oracle, START WITH, CONNECT BY commands will give all the direct and indirect child records. Other way round, is they are command which gives all the parent records till the root? Please let me know. I am working on Oracle 9i Release 2.

I need to be able to extract all values from the dropdown menu; I know how to get all those values as a string, but I need to be able to access each item; (the value in a dropdown menu will change dynamically)
How do I get number of item is selection dropdown?
How do I extract a ?name? for each value, one by one?
How do I change a selection by referring to particular index of the item in a dropdown menu?
Here is the Path to dropdown menu that I'm trying to access (form contains number of similar dropdowns)

The findElement method allows various attributes to be used to search. Take the following two examples for the element below:
<Select Name=ProdType ID=testProd>
</Select>
I can find the element based on its name or any other attribute, I just need to specify what I am looking for. To find it by name I would do the following:
Set x = RSWApp.om.FindElement("ProdType","SELECT","Name")
If I want to search by id I could do the following:
Set x = RSWApp.om.FindElement("testProd","SELECT","ID")
Usually you will use whatever is available. Since the select element has no name or ID on the Empirix home page, I used the onChange attribute. You can use any attribute as long as you specify which one you are using (last argument in these examples)
You can use the FindElement to grab links, text boxes, etc.
The next example grabs from a link on a page
Home
Set x = RSWApp.om.FindElement("Home","A","innerText")

It would probably be about 50 lines of code. Or you could write a loop in 3 lines of code. I'll let you decide which approach you want to take.

How to get all the values of a variable with F4 with checkboxes to select

Dear Experts,
After Executing a query by giving let 3 values(Out of 10 Values) to a variable.
To give 2 more input values to the same variable(i.e.,total I wanted to give 5 inputs this time ),after refreshing the query,for that variable if I click F4, I am seeing the historical values(i.e.,3) and remaining 7 values also But with out any Check Boxes besides them to select the 2 inputs.
In the same F4 Screen, If I click all values(an Icon at The bottom),then also Im seeing but no check Box.
I hve tried by deleting the Delete Personalization also,but no use.
Please tell me How to get all the values with F4 with check boxes to select ,whatever I want??

Take a look at the InfoObject and go to the Business Explorer tab. If the 'Query Def. Filter Value Selection' is set to 'Only Values in InfoProvider', you're only going to get the values in F4 that exist in the InfoProvider, not everything in the Master Data. This would need to be changed to the value of 'Values in Master Data Table' if you want it to show everything possible when F4 is chosen.
Likewise, you're going to need to look at the query and go to the Advanced tab for the InfoObject. Make sure that the radio button for 'Values in Master Data Table' is selected. If not, then you should change that selection.

Hello Alain, you should try the OMBLOG variable. If you set it inside OMBPlus:
set OMBLOG c:/temp/mylog.txtthen all the OWB specific commands are logged with their output. By OWB specific I mean all those that start with OMB.
This is more than what you see in the interface, because:
- messages inside procedures are logged; you wouldn't see them on std.output when you call a proc
- variables are resolved, so if you issue the command
set my_var VERY_IMPORTANT_TABLE
OMBDROP TABLE '$v_myvar'the log will show:
OMBDROP TABLE 'VERY_IMPORTANT_TABLE'
Table dropped
and you know something is wrong... so OMBLOG is very useful to intercept all manipulations on you repository.
If what you want instead is a dump of the screen output when you execute a script, I suggest you redirect standard output from the operating system command line. Unfortunately OMBPlus doesn't support all advanced redirection and tracing features of the TCL language.

You can create separate 3 datasources for three tables and extract data to BW. There you can implement business login to build relation between this data.

I am new to ADF. I have a requirement, where i have to perform mass update on a table.
Scenario:
Ex: I have a dept manual search region. where i search with deptId: 20. I get 20 records in my table. now i have another region where i have a inputchoice list which contains all the columns names that exists in dept table. Beside that i have a input text box and an update button
Now user, first searches with dept id:20 and clicks on search button, where it shows 20 record in the table. He then select a column from input choicelist(ex: ManagerId), then enters new value in the input box(ex: abc) then clicks on update button.
Now i want, all the records in the ManagerId column with dept id:20 to be updated with the new value "abc"
Can anyone help me with the code.

If you go to your VO and generate the ViewObjectImpl, in there you can create a method which will contain two parameters, 1 the attribute name and 2 the value.
Then you can follow something like explained in this post:
ADF Tutorial: How to apply bulk actions to a view object rows
The only difference is that you will need to create a method like this:
public void updateAttribute(String attribute, Integer value){
        RowSetIterator iter = createRowSetIterator(null);
        while (iter.hasNext()){
            Row row = iter.next();
            row.setAttribute(attribute, value);
Then you expose that as a client interface and then after you filter your table by your criteria you just need to execute this method passing the right parameters.

My program is outbound program.
According to the requirement i have to fetch all the records from ztable which are not tranmitted before to the third party and once the records are extracted and written to output file they will be marked as 'X' in the "status" field of that ztable for the next days run.
How to fetch the records.Please suggest me.

Fetch all the records whose status is equal to 'X' as whatever data is sent to third party system is marked as 'X' in status field of table after sending.
You need to first fetch the data into internal table using the select statement where status EQ space. You get the data which is not yet transmitted to third part. And later in the program after trasmitting the data to third party modify the Records in the DB table which are transmitted with Staus eq 'X'.

I am currently working on SQL Developer for the couple of weeks. I have specific need to check, how much time one query take to fetch all the records. Currently it can fetch only 50 records and when scroll then next 50 records and so on.
Can anybody tell me, how to set this to fetch full records

There's no setting to fetch all records. You wouldn't like SQL Developer to fetch for minutes on big tables anyway.
If, for 1 specific table, you want to fetch all records, you can do Control-End in the results pane to go to the last record. You could time the fetching time yourself, but that will vary on the network speed and congestion, the program (SQL*Plus will be quicker than SQL Dev because it's more simple), etc.
Now, what I think you really want here, is getting the execution time. If you really want to analyze the query's performance, you'd have to use the explain plan, autotrace and tkprof (see the manual for tuning and performance).
To make us life easier, the makers of SQL Developer included support of the explain plan, and as of v1.1, autotrace!
I'm sure you've got enough to work things out from here...

I got the select-option field so_week, for eg. If I give 200923 to 200926 (year and week) in the selection screen and then I need to pass this value (200923) to the FM 'ZWEEK_GET_FIRST_DAY' to get the first day of the week.
My question is how can i get all the values from the select option, (i.e) i need to get 200923, 200924,200925, 200926.

jdev version -11.1.1.4
use case:- we are capturing all value entered by the user on screen and storing it in the cookie like (key,value) pair where key is id and value is value of the component keyed-in.
Later when there is browser close or transaction faliure we are retreiving back all the values from cookie on load of page.
Now the point is when the screen loads back it is not getting the component id dynamically, we are storing manually the id's of the components to retrieve the value.
But we want to read all the id of all the components dyanamically once page load and store it in javascript array variable.
Let me know if there is any method to read all the id of the page in ADF javascript.
Or any other alternative method.
Please help.

I'm tryng to get all the data stored on a database table but I'm losing in trouble. I've looked for a soloution to my problem in the forums but each post I follow related to this issue gives me a different way to solve the problem and no one works :(
I suppose I have to call the getAllRowsInRange() method from my ViewObject class. But how can I get an instance of my ApplicationModule in order to get the corresponding ViewObject?
I think I messed my head a lot.
Could someone help me please?

At that point, I think a better explanation of my purpose could be helpful. What I'm trying to do is just create a simple page with a command button, and in its action method get all the data stored in the rows of the table. I've seen a possible solution that I understand:

but the problem is that I don't know what is the class the method getIterator belongs to.
Could you help me with this last piece of code? If not, I accept, of course, any suggestion. I am absolutely stuck.
