How to get an ipod touch out of recovery mode.

I want to get my iPod Touch out of recover mode and i don't know how I got into it.
All that happened was that my iPod Touch ran out of battery, so I plugged it into my MacBook and when it turned on I just got the Connect to iTunes screen.
I tried turning it off and then on again but to no effect.
I also tried holding down the Home and Power button until the apple logo shows up then release but that still did not work.
What should I do to get it out of recovery mode without restoring??

If re-starting the AMDS driver doesn't work, you can try removing iTunes and AMDS, then re-installing iTunes (which will re-install AMDS).
If that doesn't work, try putting the Touch into DFU mode. You kind of mentioned it above where you held the buttons down while connected to iTunes, but it didn't sound exactly correct and it can be a little tricky to get the timing down.
While having the Touch connected to the computer (and iTunes running) hold the Sleep and Home buttons until the Touch screen goes black (about 10 seconds). When that happens release only the Sleep button -- keep holding the Home button until iTunes says it found a device in recovery mode. At that point you release the Home button and will have to Restore the device, and you can try re-loading your last backup after the Restore process completes.

  • How to get an iPhone 4 out of recovery mode?

The restore needed popped up on my phone and also started cutting on and off every 3 or 4 minutes. Intially I tried to restore it through iTunes but it would not stay long enough to be restored. Then I tried to restore it in recovery mode. However the error message 1 and error message 3194 popped up after several attempts. What do those two error message mean?
I'm wanting to take my pictures off of my phone. How can I get my phone out of recovery mode?

Disable ALL of your antispyware/antivirus software, open your firewall, and try again. I would aslo disconnect any other USB peripherals.
If that does not work the error 1 would indicate their is hardware damage to you iPhone. You will need to get it serviced.

  • How can I get my iPod Touch out of Recovery?

I've had my iPod Touch 4G for almost five months now. Since my laptop is very slow, I just buy all of my music and apps on my iPod. I actually take the time to transfer everything about once a month. Yesterday I was going to transfer my purchased items from iPod to computer, since I skipped transferring for two months. While I let my computer start up, I checked Facebook on my iPod. Since I had just changed my password Facebook said it was logging me out, but it was taking a bit longer than usual. I decided just to delete and re-download the app. While it was re-downloading, I checked the weather and my whole iPod froze. I clicked the home button multiple times, with no success, so I held the sleep/wake button and home button until the Apple icon showed (that's what I normally do when it freezes). However, the icon stayed on for five minutes. The screen then flashed white, black, and the Apple icon came back on. About a minute later, the screen showed "Connect to iTunes". I connected it, and iTunes said it was in recovery mode and I would have to restore it. It makes me sick to know that I was just about to transfer all of my purchases/photos to my computer, but now everything is gone. Is there any way I can get out of recovery and save everything? Thanks in advance.

Is there any way I can get out of recovery
    Sorry, but no.
Most important word in computing. "Backup"...
Check iTunes / Preferences - Devices. If you have a backup stored there, you may be in luck.
    Otherwise, it's a restore.

  • How do you get iPod touch out of recovery mode?

I've already tried the methods listed here and on Youtube, and this has happened before. I have a new iPod Touch 5 16GB and the latest iTunes. The first one I bought went into recovery mode right after updating it to the newest software at the time. I contacted apple support and they couldn't figure it out, so I had to return the iPod to Best Buy and order a new one. I was just trying to update to ios 8.2, and now it's stuck in recovery mode. It says there's an error where it can't be updated and needs to be restored to factory settings, but when I try to restore it, "The ipod "ipod" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (3194)".

    Try:
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
    or

  • My iPod touch is in recovery mode, how do I get it out of this?

My daughter's iPod touch is in recovery mode (we know this by the code it gives us when she plugs it in to the computer), how do we get it out of this?  We have tried resetting by holding down the on/off button and the other button on the bottom front of the iPod for 30 seconds to a minute and nothing happens.

Two ways to get the iPod Touch out of recovery mode.
From iTunes click "Restore" this will download the latest iOS for your iPod Touch and install it.
Second way is to press and hold both the home button and the sleep button for around ten seconds and release them when the Apple logo shows on the screen.

  • How do i get my ipod touch out of the 'recovery loop'?

Ipod touch is in recovery mode.  When plugged into PC it has the display indicating that it needs to be connected to iTunes.  When it gets connected to iTunes it does appear as a device there.  ITunes requires the iPod to be restored, and in the restore process it get error message 1604.  When I go through the steps for 1604 I get the same result over and over again.  What do I need to do to break this loop and restore my iPod?

Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes): This issue is typically caused by out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software. Please followTroubleshooting security software issues if USB troubleshooting does not resolve this issue.

  • Anyone have a syggestion on how to get my Ipod touch working again besides putting it into restore mode

Anyone have any ideas on how to get an Ipod touch to charge or sync without putting it into restore mode, I've prettymuch tried everything thats been put online so far

    Tried DFU mode?
To do this follow these instructions:
        1. First, Open up iTunes, plug in your iPod Touch/iPhone to the Computer's USB port. Turn on your Computer's speaker and make sure it is loud enough that you can hear it.
        2. Hold down the Home button (top left for iPod Touch and top right for the iPhone with the screen facing you) and the Power button (located on the front bottom of your iPod Touch/iPhone) simutaneously, until the screen goes black and the device turns off. (past the red slider/slide to power off screen)
        3. Now let go of the Power button, but continue to hold the Home button. Your iPod Touch/iPhone should have turned off and the screen should not be on.
        4. After around ~10-20 seconds, you will hear a noise (beep/ding) from your Computer as if it had just recognized a new hardware device, now iTunes should recognize it in DFU mode.
        5. After iTunes recognizes the iPod Touch/iPhone, let go of the Home button otherwise it will go into recovery mode and you will have to do the entire DFU process over again.
        6. You will know when you have put your iPod Touch/iPhone correctly into DFU mode when the display is blank and that you do not have anything on your device.
Once you have done this click restore and iTunes sould start to dowbnload and install the latest firmware.
#Please note this will reset your iDevice to factory settings

  • HT201263 When my ipod touch is in recovery mode, when i try to restore it, the itunes page says the website has timed out so it won't recover. Can anyone please help me?

When my ipod touch is in recovery mode (when I try to re-store it) the itunes page sayes the website has been timed out and so it won't re-store. There is a limited time, whilst restoring the ipod, it lasts for approx 5 mins, then asks to start again all over again. Can anyone please help me?

This device is not eligible for the requested build (Also sometimes displayed as an "error 3194")
Update to the latest version of iTunes. Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard) users may need to download iTunes 10.6.3.
Third-party security software or router security settings can also cause this issue. To resolve this, followTroubleshooting security software issues.
Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to performunauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. Uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer.
Edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from your hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. For steps to edit the Hosts file and allow iTunes to communicate with the update server, see iTunes: Troubleshooting iTunes Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you do not uninstall the unauthorized modification software prior to editing the hosts file, that software may automatically modify the hosts file again on restart.
Avoid using an older or modified .ipsw file. Try moving the current .ipsw file (see Advanced Steps > Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw) below for file locations), or try restoring in a new user to ensure that iTunes downloads a new .ipsw.
