How to get "Automation" boxs in Logic 7.1.1

Yikes where do I go for Logic 7 questions?
Perhaps i'll get lucky here. Please.
I've been useing LOGIC 7X since inception & always had PROBLEMS WITH AUTOMATION when (dragging or copying) moving parts. Not with even remotely acurate.
Only occasionally by accident, the ARRANGE screen displays boxes that look like sequence lines but are all entitled "Automation" (intead of licks I played).Weird. A normal option?
Low & behold when I drag these lines they accurately move automation. I can open a diff arrange-screen-set or new one to get the normal licks/etc displayed but I wanna know... HOW DO I GET THAT SPECIAL "Arrange- Automation" type-page for new songs? Can't find it in the manual.
I am not talking about the normal "Display automation" here. This screen looks like seq boxes.
It almost seems like it was a hidden feature for the Logic- Geeks-inventors.
Is it right under my nose? If so,sorry for the lame brain.
Thx,
Woody

You've probably opened the Track Automation Folder, which displays the track-based automation as regular regions.
To open it, you must open the automation event list, and with that open, open a new arrange window from the Window menu. The new arrange window will display the Track Automation Folder. It's the only way to get there, the key command was removed.

Presumably you can convert it to Wav, AIFF or other compatible format using a suitable conversion program (at a guess) - there are convertors to do it the other way round anyway!

Also the mail is acting very funny by not getting the rules work in a proper method.  Is ther a software to repair mail.

i did both of them, but still the while sending the mail the diolog box is not showing up and also the spelling and grammer does not do the spelling check.
This problem just started for about 3 to 4 days now.  earlier it was working normally.

  • How to get Port Classifications for Logical Switch via scvmm console

    Hello  All,
We are creating some automation tool based on SCVMM console scripts.
In order to create vm we need to assign port classification  based on Virtual Switch and then logical switch. The problem is that I could not find any way to retrieve port classifications assigned to logical switch (Virtual Port tab in SCVMMs logical
switch properties). There is Get-SCLogicalSwitch that return just name, description and some properties. There is also Get-SCUplinkPortProfileSet which returns Uplink tab data of SCVMMs logical switch properties. But no api to retrieve port classifications
for switch. Get-SCPortClassification also doesn't return switch assignments. Any ideas how to get this data?

I think you are looking for
    Get-SCVirtualNetworkAdapterPortProfileSet.

The closest thing to a complete list of properties that's available is in the MHP spec in section 11.3.1.1, part g (yes, they couln't have hidden it much better)
The properties that must be supported by an MHP receiver are:
    - file.separator
    - path.separator
    - line.separator
    - dvb.returnchannel.timeout
    - dvb.persistent.root (only available if the application has permission to access the persistent filesystem)
There are a couple of extra properties that you can get from the Xlet Context using getXletProperty():
    - dvb.org.id
    - dvb.app.id
    - dvb.caller.parameters
dvb.org.id and dvb.app.id give you the organisation ID and application ID for that application, as indicated in the application signalling. dvb.caller.parameters gives you the arguments that were passed to the Xlet if it was started by another app using the application listing and launching API - if it was started in the normal way then this is empty. A few more details about these is given in part 11.7.1.1 of the MHP spec.
This information should make it up on to my website sometime soon - I'm busy working on some OCAP tutorials at the moment, but once those are done I plan to revisit some of the MHP stuff and update/expand it.
    Hope this helps,
    Steve.

  • How to get oriental instrument in logic pro 9

I have Logic Pro 9 on  Mac mini
I want to use arabic instrument like oud, Nay etc...
    How can I get it?

Did that, but the notes didn't show. But now they do. Next time I'll try to open an event list window.
Can you tell me something about fading?
In every tutorial on Youtube, the press esc and the get a lot of options. I do to. However, I only have "Fade tool" and they have "Crossfade tool". Probably nothing to care about.
But I can't fade any tracks unless I bounce the track. Why doesn't the tutorials say anything about that?
I promise you, I read, searched and listen to every advice yesterday for 4 hours. Couldn't figure the fading thing. It was just a luck I tried bounce.

  • How to get RFC Destination and Logical System name dynamically

    Hi all,
I have a RFC FM written in CRM. I need to call this FM in R/3. So, i use the syntax " Call function <func> destination <destination name>. My problem is that i need to fetch the destination name dynamically..
There is a way to do so in CRM which is as follows:
DATA:  lt_siteselect TYPE TABLE OF siteselect INITIAL SIZE 0,
               ls_siteselect TYPE siteselect.
      CALL FUNCTION 'SMOF0_READ_SITESELECT'
        TABLES
          to_siteselect = lt_siteselect.
      READ TABLE lt_siteselect INTO ls_siteselect
             WITH KEY sitetypeid = cl_smw1_siteprovider=>c_sitetype_r3oltp.
The above piece of code returns the site and also takes care of the client you are currently working on. But the specified FM is present only in R/3..
I want to achieve the functionality fulfilled by the above code in R/3.
    Kindly help.
    Useful answers will be rewarded.
    Thanks in advance,
    Karan Merwana
I can not use FM LOG_SYSTEM_GET_RFC_DESTINATION as for that i need to provide the logical system name. And the logical system name would be different for different clients.

For those referring this thread later, I could not find a solution to this and ultimately had to do away with hardcoding of system names based on the DEV, Q, and PROD system names.
If anyone does manage to get a workaround, please let me know.

There are number of ways to recover from such user erros:
1). RMAN incomplete recovery, if you have proper backups and redo logs to recover until the time just before the user error happened.
    http://www.kods.net/use-rman-based-incomplete-recovery-time/
2). Flash back query, if UNDO is being managed properly.
    http://www.orafaq.com/node/50
3). Flashback database if set to ON and flashback logs are being written.
    http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/10g/Flashback10g.php#flashback_database
4). Last but not the least, Oracle LogMiner, required minimal setup i.e. db should be in Archive Log Mode.

  • How to get back box : "Don't show this message again".

At some point, I have clicked "yes" on a box that said "Don't show this message again". It was by deleting tracks from iTunes library.
Now I want "my box" back. How can I fix that?
    Dell 8400   Windows XP

    hi Bevers!
what used to work for this was rebuilding the itunes preference files.
although the user tip is on a different topic, the technique for doing this is outlined here:
Scott P: My source list is missing
... my dear The Mimico Kid is my authority on this topic: if you're around, would you mind stopping by to confirm or deny if this is still what Bevers should try?

  • How to get text vertically centred in Li box

I am updating our company website in another area of the system which is why you'll see a tf in the web address I am about to give.
    http://www.essentialfinance.net/tf/products/reconciling/accruals_manager.asp
Now, the problem I have is that the options in the boxes are aligned to the top.
I have had quite a problem understanding how to get these boxes to work so that they highlight when hovered etc, but eventually got there through some tutorial which seems to create a nav class hanging off the ul.
I have tried altering everything in the ul.nav, ul.nav li, ul.nav a regarding getting the text to vertical align centred but no success.
    The css file is here:
    http://www.essentialfinance.net/tf/main.css
I put that link in since someone may be able to pick out my faults.
I have only put a link to # (goes nowhere) to get the <a> code initialised.....
By the way - don't worry about the colour scheme... it's only temporary to test the functionality.
And I would not wander anywhere else in the site - it's a shambles which is why i'm looking at it.
Can anyone please advise? Thank you very much in advance for any feedback.
    Terry

  • How to get applescript or automator to ask system to "detect displays"

I want to know how to get automator or applescript to "detect displays" (which is found in Displays prefpane). Thanks.

Sorry I'm late, but this page was the only Google find on "script detect displays"
when I checked on June 26, 2011. The script commands worked immediately for
me and I offer V.K. belated thanks if he/she is still around for having solved this
longstanding problem for me. I had written a script earlier trying to do this, but it
didn't work reliably so I gave up on trying to use it.
If jockebq is by chance still around, I would recommend that he/she try doing as
I did and use a more simple version of the script, namely:
tell application "System Events" to tell the front menu bar of process "SystemUIServer"
tell (first menu bar item whose value of attributes contains "displays")
        click
tell 1st menu item of front menu
          click
        end tell
      end tell
    end tell
I have this saved as a normal .scpt script and assigned to ctrl-opt-shift-d
in QuicKeys. It works every time.
