How to get battery information for macbook air 13"

Hi,
I am using macbook air 13" released by the end of last year.
For personal reason, I have to buy a new battery for my mba through the internet.
So, how can I check the battery information (such as release day and last day of warranty) using its serial number?
It is not easy to find such service in apple.com in case of macbook air battery.

Hi people,
My question is how to get this information for show in Conky:
- KDE version.
- Last sync (pacman -Sy) and Last update (pacman -Su)
For the first point could be use a script that execute $ kdesu --version and get information from there.
I have no idea how get information from pacman (may be logs?).
Any ideas?

I have had tremendous success with LUA in Conky on Arch. And all you need to to is put the text HI after the "TEXT" line. ^^;

EDIT: Also, I've had success with getting the KDE version by doing the following...
kwin --version | awk '/^Qt/ {data="Qt v" $2};/^KDE/ {data=$2 " (" data ")"};END{print data}'
This is the method I'm currently using in screenFetch. Tested it a couple of times myself, but besides that, I'm not sure if it will work or not.

Hello everyone,
I want to finally buy and install windows 7 Home premium 32-bit or 64-bit so badly but i don't see the way of doing it.
Since my Macbook air 13" (mid 2012.)" doesn't have a CD slot i guess i have to buy it online and download it, but i don't see that option on microsoft windows site. I just see the option for buying a Windows 7 CD...
So please someone tell me how to buy this OS for installing on Macbook air 13"?
If i can use Windows 7 CD and install it on macbook air, how do i do it? What am i supposed to do with that CD, when i don't have CD slot?

I found the answer on my own again.
Just need to buy USB SuperDrive and that's it.

How to get digital sound from macbook air?

i know the new air does not have digital output in the headphone jack, but is there another way to approach this problem? I heard there are ways to connect an external sound card to make it work (i'm new to this and not sure exactly how it works). I use to have my macbook pro linked to a Dell u2711 and ran toslink from the Pro, but now I'm on an Air, i have to use the analog output from the monitor which is driving me nuts comparing to the digital quality. i have purchased macbook sir 6 days back . i am finding it difficult to work on macbook . Mostly i need to use ms office and another designing softwares like adobe photoshop and adobe flash etc .

Please explain what you mean by a virtual window? I assume you mean run Windows in a virtual machine?
I think you would be better off using the Mac versions of those software, Office, Photoshop & Flash can all be installed on a Mac.
Running a virtual machine will decrease performance and should be used when an app has no Mac version. The other option is to use bootcamp, which makes a complete Windows install on your Mac in addition to OS X. This basically defeats the purpose of buying a Mac if you only plan to run Windows.
You will need a Mac licence for Office & Photoshop, see if you can 'cross grade' them…

Battery questions for MacBook Air 11 inch

I generally have my MBA 11 inch connected to the power supply during the day and therefore it shows 100% when I close the lid at the end of the day.
After overnight the battery shows 95% or less when I open in the morning.
Is this normal ?
Clearly not a big issue , I'm just learning the best practices with this, the first MAC I have ever owned.
Why the **** didn't I buy one years ago ? Wonderful product !!

Inexpensive, no risk: Staples, Best Buy, Office Depot or Office Max. (one of them seems to always be running a sale on Office for Mac Home and Student for $99.00.
You can always try Amazon, too.
Remember: Even if you buy the DVD at a store, you can still download afterwards from Microsoft, and then just use the Key that comes with the box purchase of Office you bought. That way, you don't have to worry about finding a means of using that DVD with yoru MBA.

You do not mention it, but I will assume you are running OS 10.9.1.
Go to: Apple menu / System Preferences / Users & Groups. Click the padlock and enter your password.
Click the + (plus sign) and set up a new account for your wife. You have to enter a bunch of info. And then create the correct Login Options. Automatic login does not require a password from the selected user.
When that is done, verify the account works by restarting the computer and login as your wife.
Make sure that any applications in your own Users folder that will be needed are moved to the Applications folder in your wife's Users folder.
Now go back to Users and Groups, click the padlock and authenticate, select your own account, and hit the - (minus sign). This step cannot be reversed, so you might want to wait a few days before doing it.
When your wife is logged in, the App Store will know.
