  • Arranging fields in a table-like form: best-Practice-Solution wanted

    Hello Experts,
I´m wondering if there exists a 'best practice' considering how to arrange fields in a table-like form.
I know about cross-tables, but that´s not what we need. Most of the requirements that I have come to known are just that certain fields should be put in a certain order in a table-like outfit.
We have tried to do this using the drawing functions (e.g. putting a square around the fields and certain border styles), but it often happens that the lines overlap or there are breaks between the lines, so that you have to do a lot of manual configuration with the 'table'.
Since this is a requirement I´ve come upon with many reports, I can´t believe that this is supposed to be the best solution for this.
I don´t understand why there isn´t a table-like element in Crystal Reports to use for this. E.g. put a table with x rows and y columns in the header or group head section section and then just put the fields in it.
Many thanks in advance for your help !

    Hi Frank,
You can use build in templates available in Template expert.
Click on Report menu-> Template Expert.
Select the desired template. ( Table grid template would suite best here) and click OK.
There is no facility of inserting a table directly as you said. You will have to do it manually by using lines and boxes.
    Hope this is helpful.

  • SOLMAN with India Baseline Best Practice solution

    Hello,
With India Baseline best practice solutin route, you need to go-thru the activation process which creates the configuration objects for the selected scenarios. How can i integrate this process with SOLMAN in place as I understand in SOLMAN base project implementation we need to create a project & do the configuration via SOLMAN for individual nodes.
    Regards,
    Manish.

    Hi,
Our current solution is to have to NICs and have both connect to the server. They then have 2 different IPs and we have the DHCP give out the IP as the gateway. The only problem with that is that we cannot control the automated change of gateway IP if the
    main connection fails.
We are also willing to look into other hardware solutions that could control this.

    Rudi

  • Best Practice / Solutions for using 11g DB+x86 or Small Computer to build iaas/paas?

My customer wants to build their own iaas/paas using Oracle 11g DB, plus x86 or other small computer, running Linux or Solaris or Unix OS.
Oracle Exadata is not feasible for them to use currently.
Customer wants to know whether there are other customers have implemented their cloud solution based on these or not?
If yes, would like to share the experience, presentation slides, best practices etc.
Is there an Oracle email DL for asking this kind of question?
    Thanks,
    Boris

Like Rick, I'm not aware of a specific "cloud implementors forum". Internally, Oracle has lots of material on implementing cloud, using any platform at all, although obviously we feel Engineered Systems are the most cost-effective solution for many customers. Are you interested in IaaS i.e. virtualised hardware, or PaaS i.e. DBaaS? They should not be confused, neither is required for the other, in fact, using IaaS to implement "DBaaS", as the OpenStack trove API attempts to do, is probably the most counter-productive way to go about it. Define the business-visible services you will be offering, and then design the most efficient means of supporting them. That way you gain from economies of scale, and set up appropriate management systems that address issues like patching, security, database virtualisation and so on.

  • Technical documentation for ADF projects - how to and best practices

    Hi,
I have a question how to create technical documentation for ADF project expecialy ADF BC and ADF Faces. Is there any tool or JDev plugin for that purpose? What informations should contains documentation for that project, any principles ?Has anybody any experienece. Are there something like documentation best practices for ADF projects? E.g. how to create documentation for bussiness components.
    Kuba

I'm not sure there is "best practices" but some of the things that can help people understand are:
An ADF BC diagram - this will describe all your ADF BC objects - just drag your components into a new empty diagram
A JSF page flow - to show how pages are called.
Java class diagram - for Java code that is not in the above two
One more thing to consider - since ADF BC, JSF page flow and JSPX pages are all XML based - you could write XSL files that will actually transform them into any type of documentation you want.

  • M-Audio Fast Track, how to get best results?

    Hey guys.
I just got my M-Audio Fast Track. It seems quite cool. Not really to sure what to do with it though!
I'm using it to record guitars and vocals into GB.
So how can i set it up to get best results?
Right now I have my Audio System Preferences set to Built in Audio for In and Out, but in GB preferences I have Input set to FastTrack and Out set to Built-In...
It seems to be quite quiet, quieter than if i plug my guitar directly into the iMacs line in...?
    Cheers
    jim
P.S. Please don't bother writing about how I should have bought a Firewire device or anything else, I'm a cheap *** student, I bought what I could!

    Jim
I have just bought one and the sound is good. I monitor sound thru my HI_FI system. The settings I have are:
    1. Leave sound settings alone in system preferences.
    2. In GB2 I have set input and output devices to fast track. (By the way there are no drivers available for this device - it is natively supported by OS X)
To adjust volume I have to adjust the right hand output volume knob on the front of the Fast track. My G5 system volume control has no effect on the fast track.

  • How to load best practices data into CRM4.0 installation

    Hi,
We have successfully installed CRM4.0 on a lab system and now would like to install the CRM best practice data into it.
If I refer to the CRM BP help site http://help.sap.com/bp_crmv340/CRM_DE/index.htm,
It looks like I need to install at least the following In order to run it properly.
    C73: CRM Essential Information
    B01: CRM Generation
    C71: CRM Connectivity
    B09: CRM Replication
    C10: CRM Master Data
    B08: CRM Cross-Topic Functions
I am not sure where to start and where to end. At the minimum level I need the CRM Sales to start with.
Do we have just one installation CDs or a number of those, Also are those available in the download area of the service.sap.com?
    Appreciate the response.

<b>Ofcourse</b> you need to install Best Practices Configuration, or do your own config.
Simply installing CRM 4.0 from the distibutiond CD\DVD will get you a plain vanilla CRM system with no configuration and obviously no data.  The Best Practices guide you trhough the process of configuring CRM, and even has automated some tasks.  If you use some of the CATT processes of the Best Practices you can even populate data in your new system (BP data, or replace the input files with your own data)
In 12 years of SAP consulting, I have NEVER come across a situation whereby you simply install SAP from the distribution media, and can start using it without ANY configuration.
My advise is to work throught the base configuration modules first, either by importing the BP config/data or following the manual instruction to create the config/data yourself.  Next, look at what your usage of CRM is going to be, for example Internet Sales, Service Management, et cetera, and then install the config  for this/these modules.

  • How to get best quality when exporting presentation to dvd?

I have just completed a keynote presentation with 21 slides including various movie clips.
I want to export this to Dvd where it can be played on someone elses computer and then onto a projector.
I have tried exporting it as a Quick time movie and then to idvd, however the quality seems to dimish considerably. The picture is shaky and the resolution seems rather low and grainy.
Could someone tell me how I can get this onto Dvd with the best quality possible. i.e if I change the slide size will this make a difference, or if I make the dvd interactive?
I am a completely new keynote user so I apologise for my ignorance but would appreciate any advice!
    Macbook   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    Thanks David.
I will give that a go. I went to the Mac store on Regent street, and they were really helpful. The guy there advised me to compress the movie in quick time and then export it onto either a flash drive or ipod, which can then be transfered onto any other computer (mac or p.c) which has quick time downloaded on it. This works for me as I needed my presentation to be exported to my bosses laptop P.C.

  • How to get best OC performance from Athlon 64 system

Another OC article, that covers differant ways of OC a Athlon 64 system and what gives best perormance boost.
    http://www.neoseeker.com/Articles/Hardware/Guides/athlon64oc/index.html
PS Sorry did not see that Worf105 already posted same thing...

Thanks, I will check that out.  I was looking up info on Tomato, but it seemed it was for the old WRT-54g / gs, etc...
I ran it at the stock clock (I think stock is 354 MHz) for awhile.  I over clocked it only by 46 MHz maybe two weeks ago.  They still freeze up at stock clock with default wireless power.  The thing is, the broadcom CPU in this thing is the same part number used in other routers, and it's clocked at 400 MHz in some models, and 533 MHz in others.  It's terribly underclocked in this router.  I don't know if it's because they didn't want to spend money on better heatsinks or higher quality power supply circuitry and capacitors, or what.
That's another thing that could be bad. Inferior components, such as slightly out of tolerance capacitors, or cheap lead-free solder that wasn't melted to the right temperature in the board flow production process.  Under heavy load it can crack and cause bad connections or cause heatsinks to come off the board (if any).  It was a major problem with the Xbox 360, and it's a major problem in the HP 2015dn laser printer.
Who knows what the deal is.  My 320n seems stable now.  I was just hoping to get a little more routing speed out of it.  I'll read up on Tomato and see if that's a feasible solution.
