How to get better browsing on iMac G3

Hi everybody, I bought a fantastic iMac Bondi Blue. It's a perfect machine, and it seems to work perfectly.
The only problems are that Ethernet connection is slow, even with DSL (there's a sort of "lag" of a couple of seconds for every page), and the 95% of the Internet pages have a really bad view, both on IE and Mozilla/iCab/Cassilla/... For example, the only page which looks well is Google's homepage; I cannot browse the New York Times page, for example, or log in my Gmail account.
What can I do with these two problems? I'm using Mac Os 9.22.

the better solution for the select statement whould be to use the aggreagte function sum for the field kwert:
SELECT knumv kposn sum(kwert)
             FROM konv
             INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF table lt_konv

                   AND kposn EQ lt_output-posnr
                   AND kschl EQ 'VPRS'.
The select is inside the loop an lt_output.
Aggregate functions and FOR ALL ENTRIES can not be combined, the
FOR ALL ENTRIES is a select distinct !!!
So you must leave the loop around the select and you can't use the FOR ALL ENTRIES, but this is o.k.,

How to get better resolution on Blu-ray (1080/60i)

I'm experimenting with my new AG-AC160A camcorder and have been shooting youth hockey games in AVCHD mode, 1080/60i, 1/120 shutter, manual gain and white balance set appropriately, and florescent scene file setting due to lighting in rink. I have PP CS5 and am disappointed with the relative lack of HD-crispness when the Blu-ray output is played on my HD LED set. I used the above settings based on recommendations I saw in the forum somewhere. Any suggestions on what I can try differently? Thank you.

To elaborate on Ann's great advice, the Sequence preset you should be using is AVCHD 1080i30 (60i).
A good way to start out with the correct sequence is to import your clips and then drag one onto the "New Item" icon at lower right of Project Bin. This will create a new sequence to match the source material automatically. As Ann mentioned, you have a non-HD preview format, so if you rendered the timeline to green, and checked "Use Previews" on the final export, then your Blu-ray could have "SD quality" footage in it!!
Curious why the 1/120 shutter, hoping to get better action motion?
If you have a current timeline using the incorrect settings, go ahead and add a NEW Sequence with correct settings, open original sequence and "Select All" which is CRTL + A, then CTRL + C to Copy. Then go to the proper AVCHD sequence and Ctrl + V to Paste entire contents. You will now have the edited sequence moved into correct sequence settings. Now use Export and in AME choose "H.264 Blu-ray" and choose the 1080i preset and export, then use results in Encore. The Blu-ray should look excellent when done correctly.
When exporting from AME, do NOT check the box for "Use Previews", as you want to encode direct from original source and skip any intermediate render clips.

Install Windows on your Mac and reinstall all your Windows software.
Microsoft purposely hobbles Mac versions to prevent defections and quite frankly will find little offerings outside of Microsoft for those types of softwares.

How to get better WLan connectivity on Satellite U200

I wonder if anyone else is disappointed with the wireless range of the U200.
I consistently find that my laptop shows 2 bars connectively to my BT hub (upstairs) when my eeepc located next the laptop shows 5.
I have also found in other locations that my partners laptop finds far more wireless networks than I do.
I would prefer to explore the ability to boost my wireless connection before relocating my BT hub to give me better reception. i.e. be able to find the hub with my laptop wherever I am in the house (like my partners does)
Anyone got any ideas please?

Ok a few views but no ideas.... I've now experimented with an external wireless adapter
I have a toshiba satellite pro u200 with built in WiFi. I also have 2 adsl providers in the house (one will be cancelled as soon as i am happy with the new one - but i am taking the oportunity to experiment at the mo to try to resolve a few issues)
I have one wireless router under my desk (Virgin Media 2mb service - VM), the other is upstairs (BTHomehub 8mb - BT)
Using the tosh inbuilt Wireless adapter if i sit 2 laptops side by side on my desk they both pick up VM at 100%. (tosh and eeepc) - this should happen as the router in under the desk!
If i sit the same 2 latops on my desk and get them to connect to BT, the tosh onlys gives 2 bars, the eeepc 100%. (by bars i mean View Available Networks - see the 5 bars to show connection strength)
If i then plug in an external Netgear WG111T 108Mbps Wireless USB2.0 Adapter to the tosh the connection improves to 4 bars.
is there anything i can do the the built in WiFi on the tosh to improve things or am i better to use an external adapter. If i use the external how does the tosh know which adapter to use? as i have to have the wireless switch to the on position so doesn't this activate the inbuilt?
I allow the pc to show the network show icon when connected and can see the speed at 54 Mbps - what does this mean?
shouldn't i expect to see 108 Mbps if that is what the netgear external is capable of?

How to get better quality recording?

I am trying to record vocals on Garageband, I have a Yeti mic and it works well, but I am getting some playback issues. I have played with the settings on the mic like altering the gain and such, but nothing is working so far. I'm getting small moments of imperfections when certain sounds are made, like when saying words with P's and C's in them. I played around with the settings in Garageband but nothing has fixed this issue yet, I have also tried just to speak softer on those letters but that doesn't seem to help. Any advice on how to improve the overall quality on my recordings would be great!

I'm confused by your post. Quick Reorder makes it easier to drag slides into different positions. There is no such thing (at least not in PSE, maybe you meant PRE?) as "quick recorder". There is a button to record audio for a particular slide, but that is all.

How to get .pdf files from iMac to laptop?

This is a question on behalf of a friend of mine who has a desktop iMac (OS 9.2 -- about 5 years old) as well as a MacBook laptop (Tiger 10.4 -- brand new) .
He has received multiple .pdf files via email (Comcast) and has those saved to his desktop iMac. He wants to get them onto his laptop.
How does he do this?

I think the easiest, most elegant way to to do this would be to have him simply, email the pdf's to himself.
He could then retrieve the email while using the laptop. He could even go online to his comcast webmail account and download the pdfs he has attached to an email - He can download them to the desktop of any computer in the world.
I think the ethernet cable and creating a target disk steps are a bit of overkill for such a simple task, not to mention, if you don't have those cables, running out to make such a purcha$e in this instance is not justified and a waste of time (IMHO) - But proof that with a Mac you can accomplish one task in several ways.

PS CC 2014 how to get better results from refine edge

In the attached image below you will see "Jesus on the cross" which I want to substitute a new background. On the left is a portion of the unselected image and on the right is the best result I can get via refine edge tool. I have tried all the usual methods such as channels, increasing contrats etc but this is the best I can get. The top thorns had the same problem but what you see now is an hour of manual selection. How do I get a better result - why is it that when the rfine edge brush is swept over such it often only produces transparent results?

I am keep working on this problem today.
I tried Particle Analysis, the result is un-repeatable either. But when I decide to find Straight edge direct from source image,without any process,the angle is more repeatable,Max deviation is 0.03-0.06 degree.It seems my process to the image make thing worse.Then I found the algorithm to find straight is something like linear fit : find all the edge points,linear fit and calculate the angle.
So I run my program for images those pixel resolution is 1280*960,the Max deviation is much lower: 0.008 degree.
If I am right,the best resolution to my problem is to change my camera to higher resolution.

How to get inspiration browser back.

Installed Photoshop Elements 10. It told me I needed to do an update by uninstalling the inspiration browser and reinstalling it by clicking the download button. This just gives me an error message and ask if I want to retry. How can I get the inspiration browser back.

You'll need to resend the service books in order to regain your browser use. To do this, on your homescreen follow Setup>Email Accounts>(Menu Key)>Send Service Books.

HT204053 All I seeon my iMac is Mobile Me and I cannot access it. I have iCloude on my iPhone and want it on my computer. I cannot figure out how to get it on my iMac.

I am trying to put iCloud on my iMac computer, but cannot figure out how to do it. I have it on my iPhone. When I go to my settings in my computer I have an icon that says MobileMe (which I cannot access) so I do not want that one. I would rather have iCloud.

How to get user browser locale from view object

Hello,
Currently, I have a view object that's used to retrieve localized messages from data base. The resource table looks like the following:
MSG_ID VARCHAR2, --> specify the L10N resource reference
LOCALE VARCHAR2, --> used to specify the user locale (browser locale)
MESSAGE VARCHAR2 --> real message
I'm creating a bind variable (let's say it 'RequestLocale') in this view object to specify the locale and to get the expected L10N message. Currently, the value for this bind is set as an Expression with value of 'viewObject.DBTransaction.session.locale.toString()'.
After defining the view object (and the bind variable like above), I created a table by dragging the view object to a jsf page, and run and open the page in a web browser. It seems that the messages (specified by the locale) could be retrieved correctly. But once I change the web browser language settings to another preferred language, and refresh the page, I found that the message is still for the previous locale, and not refreshed to the locale (language/country) that's newly set in web browser.
Am I supposed to do more thing to get the 'locale' work by using the adf view object bind variable?

Hi,
after changing the locale, can you try a re-direct of the page to see if this changes the locale. In ADF, the locale is set by the HTTP request handler in the ADF lifecycle ensuring that the locale is passed to the middle tier. So the expected change is to come from the view layer (which is why I think you need a redirect). Another option to check is to access the HttpRequestObject from the FacesContext --> External Application to check the request locale

How to get better performance out of iMovie?

I have a 13" MBP (2010) with 2.4GHz. I bought the machine to edit video on the road and it did great when I first bought it running Snow Leopard. After upgrading to Lion, I noticed it started to play back some choppy video clips while inside iMovie. The rendered clips play fine, so I wasn't too concerned. A bit of a hassle. Then I figured I would upgrade some RAM and am now running 8GB. I don't think the graphics card is limiting, because it used to run the clips fine. The video just doesn't run smooth and I am wondering how to fix. I played some clips while in iMovie and the app starts consuming 150% of the CPU resources from 2% when no video is playing. Is this what others get?

Long story short: I had to try it out and had to be prepared to supply my own product key."
He doesn't comment on if he was actually successful retreiving the Key from BIOS. Does the last sentence imply that he actually had to get another product key?
BTW: just worked with the TrackPad and yes it's very noisy and clunky to click. Luckily I always use a mouse with my laptop.
