How to get Bluetooth on Portege R100

There seem to be several ways to make this happen, I am not sure if my Portege can handle all of them. Or maybe there are some more. Let me know!
1. USB-Stick: These are ugly and large, although there will be are tiny one by Mogo in june (http://www.newtonperipherals.com/Mogo_Products.htm) But I am sure they will all work on my Portege R100.
2. A Compactflash-adapter with CF-Bluetooth-card for pc-card slot. Those also do not disapear completely in the case. And will they work? Or is it a new technology that is not compatible?
3. This seems to be a nice alternative: using the SD-card-slot. But as I read in this forum the R100 has problems with newer (bigger) SD-cards. What is about this one? The seller says it´s compatible with most Toshiba-notebooks but I am not sure about that.

Or are there even more possibilities? Thanks for any hints!

I have had my Portege R100 for about two and a half years now, all the time with an SD Card (first SD2 then SD3). The only draw back is that the SD card has a nasty tendency to pop out of the slot if the computer is inserted into an enclosure (like a padded briefcase slot). I lost my original SD2 card that way, and I have found the cards sitting at the bottom of my bag on several occasions.
Now I just seem to instinctively look for the card when I remove the computer, but it is a minor annoyance.

  • How to get Bluetooth Audio gateway in Windows 7 on Mac Mini?

I just bought the 2012 2.3 GHz Mac Mini
    I have installed windows 7..
I also installed Broadcom 6.0.2 driver that supports Bluetooth audio gateway , but it keeps saying Bluetooth device not found, where as the Mac mini has an inbuilt 4.0 bluetooth ready!
How do I get the bluetooth audio gateway to work??
I use bluetooth headsets of Motorola to answer Skype calls..
    Please help me..
    Thanks

The GUI version of Disk Utility is very limited in what sort of RAID configurations you can create. It will only allow you to have a single partition on the disk and to make a RAID using that.
Boot Camp requires creating additional partitions on the disk and hence it complaining.
There is a commandline version of Disk Utility called diskutility (duh!). It has far more options available. Details for this command can be obtained by typing man diskutility in Terminal.app.
It appears that in theory you might be able to do the following.
Start off with both disks not setup for RAID
Use Boot Camp to create the Windows partition. Repeat this on each disk.
Then in Terminal.app manually convert the boot Mac partition to a RAID using diskutil appleraid enable
Then add the matching partition on the second drive to make it a working mirror using diskutil appleraid add
Then in Terminal.app manually create a RAID for the Windows partition using both drives and use FAT32 as the format using diskutil appleraid create
Then boot and run the Windows installer and tell it to erase the Windows partition as NTFS
I cannot gurantee the above will work and you should obviously have backups if needed. Another option would be to have the Mac partition covered by RAID but not the Windows partition, this would result in three volumes one Mac RAIDed volume, and two other non RAIDed volumes even though you have two physical disks.

  • How to get Bluetooth to work

How do you get the Bluetooth to pair with other devices ie car and other phones.

Are you trying to pair with the same device as your BF? be aware that some car devices can only pair with 1 phone at a time, some more than others. check manual, otherwise it will pair as your BF demonstrated.

  • HOW TO GET BLUETOOTH ON 7373

    Hey guys,
Yesterday I got my new 7373 and am trying since then to get music etc. on it.But I'm not getting a bluetooth-connection to my mac, can anybody help?

Before you can pair your Nokia device and Mac with Bluetooth, you’ll need to enable Bluetooth on your Mac.
On your Mac, check to see if there is a Bluetooth symbol on the menu bar. If there is, click the symbol and make sure that Bluetooth: On appears in the menu. If it does not, click Turn Bluetooth On
    or
If you do not see a Bluetooth item in your menu bar, open System Preferences. If your Mac has Bluetooth hardware, a Bluetooth preference pane will be available. Click the Bluetooth icon to enter the pane, and make sure that the text Bluetooth Power: On appears. If it does not, click Turn Bluetooth On.
Go to http://europe.nokia.com/A4366276 for steps on connecting to Mac.

  • How to get bluetooth working

I got myself a new Iphone 4, the version on is 4.3.3 (8j2), for some reason it picking up any bluetooth items ie my other phone my laptop etc, please can some tell what todo ( ihave turn it on) it not picking it up

With the iPhone the BT protocols are limited to Headset, A2DP (stereo devices), Handsfree devices and Personal Area Network (allows tethering and limited exchange/game playing with other iDevices). It does not include File Transfer Protocol.
Are you trying to tether with your laptop? Is the other phone an iPhone and what are you attempting to do with it?

  • How to get bluetooth audio working

I have the S10-3T, type 0651. Had it a few weeks.
It has Bluetooth built in. I was able to recognise my Altec Lansing BackBeat (stereo headset). But when I played media, the sound didn't come through the headset.
What do I need to download or do so that I can watch movies, listen to Rhapsody, etc... through the headset?
    Thanks.

  • How do I open the Portege R100?

I have unscrewed all the screws from the bottom of the casing and also noticed the small latch on the inside of the battery compartment. The bottom of the casing still seems to be firmly attacheh though and I would appreciate any pointers on what else to remove?
The reason for the operation is that I want to upgrade the internal 802.11ab controller for a Gigabyte WIAG01 Mini PCI (108mbps).
    Any suggestions?

    Hello Graah
In my opinion it is very bad idea to open this sensible notebook on your own. A small mistake can damage the hardware components or different connections.
Anyway, as far as I know the wireless card is placed under keyboard on the right side and it is fixed with two screws. As far as I know the keyboard must be removed first. After that you can see these two screws.
    Good luck!

  • How to get and install the new MSI Bluetooth Software Package 1.4.3.3.

How to get and install the new MSI Bluetooth Software Package 1.4.3.3.
This little FAQ will only cover the new version of MSI Bluetooth Software Package.
First thing too do is unistall any older version of the MSI Bluetooth Software.
Do this through the Add/Remove program applet in your control panel.
There seams too be only through Live update you could get the new version of MSI Bluetooth Software Package.
If you can't see any enter for MSI Bluetooth Software in the Live driver section of Live update then you have too enter the following too your registry.
Create following code in Notepad and save it as MSILD.reg, then run the file.
    ;-->Code start
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MSI\Drivers\MSI Bluetooth Software]
    "DrvSetup"="1"
    "Version"="1.4.2.10"
    ;-->Code end
Rerun the Live update and hopefully you will now see a entry for MSI Bluetooth Software in Live driver section.
Install the new version of MSI Bluetooth Software and reboot your computer. Even if the setup program doesnt told you too doit.
After rebooting the computer you will see the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar. If it's Red then try too start the Bluetooth services by right click on the try icon and the only alternetiv there is.
If the Bluetooth services is asking for a valid licens.dat then you should do the following.
Surf to Jon's Bluetooth guide http://www.jonsguides.com./bluetooth/prepare.html and download the patcher from the link there.
Unzip the the patcher and then run the BTWPatcher.exe program.
Now the Bluetooth services will start and you will bee able too configure your own settings for the Bluetooth services.
If nothing of this work you could try the complete Bluetooth solution at Jon's gudie and install the IBM version of the same program. I havent test this solution and will not do soo.

I have the MS-6968 device and i want to use driver 1.4.x or 3.0.x. I found the driver 1.4.2.10 but i cannot find any WIDCOMMSecurity code.
So, can anyone give me a link for BTWPatcher.exe???
It cannot be found here (Jon's Bluetooth ) anymore.
    Thanks

Hi. I just updated the Bluetooth on my iMac (OS X 10.5), but now each time I turn on my computer, this (annoying) message show up: Your computer's bluetooth firmware is up-to-date.
How to get rid of it?
I tried someone's suggestion to turn it off by going to  System Preference > Account > Login Items, but it's not listed there..
Also, is there a way to use FaceTime on my iMac?
    Thanks!

Hello, not sure about the Bloetooth thing, I have none, but it sounds like some file didn't get removed aftrt a BT update.

    Hello HIXSONATOR
If you are trying to send a file to a Bluetooth device, then follow the steps in the article below. Look for the Bluetooth File Exchange application in Utilities folder inside the Applications folder and all you have to do is drag a file on top of that application and it will ask what device you want to send it to.

  • When i first got my iPhone 5S I tried to pair Bluetooth with my iPad 3 it took so long and I came to press the Ignore this device button which I now truly regret as the iPhone now no longer can find the iPad. How to get it back please ?

How to get my 5s to recognize my iPad

The only reason you use bluetooth between iPad/iPhone its to share the internet from iPhone to wifi only iPad.
In order to see the bluetooth connection, you must first enable the Personal Hotspot on the iPhone.
Then on the iPhone, open Setting s> Bluetooth.
Then open the Bluetooth on the iPad adn pair teh devices.
