Hi,
I am having constant ongoing troubles with my BT landline with horrendous crackling, noise and sounds like someone tuning an old radio on the line, it gets so bad i can no longer hear the other person i am calling!
Since moving in to the property 5 years ago, i have had various engineers out over the last 5 years including various SPI, broadband, internal and ground engineers, everytime they temp fix the problem doing something with the line connections at the green box or at the exchange, but the fault always re-appears 4-6 months later!
The last 2 engineer visits said i had a bad joint on it between my property and the green box!
I have called BT again last week and told them about the history and that the cable needs replacing to fix this ongoing fault permanantley as i had enough with it just being temp fixed all the time, BT said they would request the rewire in the notes and they would do the permanant fix this time, so a few days later they sent out the wrong engineer, who said he only delt with inside the property and the notes said that i could not receive incomming or outgoing calls i told him the history and that the last engineers had reported a bad joint, he ran some tests he said that yes the problem was again with the cable between my property and the green box, i said that BT had promised to re-wire this cable this time and he said i'll put it in the notes and will request a correct ground engineer to come out!
The next day the phone went dead for about half an hour and then received a text saying "we've fixed your fault", i knew they had just done a temp fix again, i checked the line which seemed noise free again, however the next day it was back the same, horrendous noise on the line, so i have had to call BT yet again as this is not fixed.
Please can someone help me as to what to do to get this damged cable re-wired once and for all, i feel like going to some other provider but will be left with the same fault over and over again, this is rediculous that BT will not supply me with a fault free line and get the thing rewired once and for all.
My infinity has also suffered as i use to get 73meg at first and it's now down to ~55meg and again feel i am paying for 80meg but getting just over the 40meg service.

Update...
I emailled a moderator as my broadband was still low and a mod has kindly replied and set the wheels in motion for a profile reset.
He arranged for an openreach engineer to come to my property this morning, the engineer came and did some line testing and found it to be still in a poor state, in fact he said the test results were catastrophic!
The engineer said he would have to pass it back again to a ground engineer and the line probably has water travel inside, the ground engineer should come Friday.
Profile reset will have to wait.
I really hope that this gets sorted once and for all this time.

By drawing on the screen, I assume you mean drawing outside the bounds of a top-level window like

How to get rid of the reference lines on the front panel

I forgot how I created a couple of horizontal and vertical reference lines on the front panel. It looks like the origin lines on the front panel. When I move my program to another monitor with different resolution, all the layout is messed up because of the reference lines can not change with the resolution. Did anybody meet this before? How to get rid of them?
Attached are the 2 creen shot of front panels.

You will have to click on the top menu and choose options see below
when you do this window will pop up and you scroll down until you get to the front panel options. See below

if i use the script below i get the name of path and then : and in next line i get the results.is there a way to get the results from every path after the : and not in the next line?
another question - is there a way that the script will not show the server name on every path?

You can try grabbing different properties, and they will print out differently, displaying the data on the same line in some cases. For example, pipe your output to a "foreach-object" block, and then for each object print out the CounterSamples property.

How to get exact height of HTML line with SUB tag in JTextPane?

Hi, this is my first post. I`ve been searching forum for an answer for a week, but didn`t find one.
I have HTMLDocument inside JTextPane(exacty inside my class that extends it - MyTextPane). I want to do some custom painting in JTextPane so I need to be able to know exact pixel witdh for each line in the document. Easy except one thing, when I use SUB tag the width of the line cannot be simply calculated using FontMetrics, because I don`t know if the text inside SUB tag has lower font size and I don`t know its Y offset to normal line.
I tried get these information from HTMLDocument using attributes from leafElements representing lines, but there seems to be a problem too.
I pass this text:

The height of Arial 36 is according to FontMetrics 43(and it really is), but height of the lowerIndex is just 40 pixels(on the screen), not 43 as I would expect. And I still dont have offset, where does the lower index starts paint itself.
Is there any problem with my setText method, so that it changes font style for LOWER INDEX?
I am using JTextPane as notEditable, with just one font style for entire document.
Any suggestion?

Is there any other way to get these information. I just found that I need that information before I put text it in the document.
For example I am would like to generate lines:
paragraph1 - text1
 text2
paragraph2 - text1
 text2
 text3
paragraph3some note - text1
 text2
normal text line
I know what font line will be and I know its AttributeSet. I am trying to get appropriate number of spaces (or left indent) for text2,text3...lines. Then I will pass that string to setText method of JTextPane.
I am unable to get appropriate width for "paragraph3some note - ", since text in SUB tag uses probably different font size.
I am really sorry to bother again. I will think twice what I need before I posting.

How to get columns of type to line up across the bottom of the page

I want to improve a newsletter I design. Right now all the leading is the same throughout. Body copy, caption & Heads. I want to add space after the paragraphs. I want the captions to have less leading than the body copy. That's doable right? Withe Baseline Grid. But how can I get the columns to line up at the bottom of the page if each one is an unpredictably different height? Maybe this is a design grid problem not a typographic one? Any suggestions?

If you use a baseline grid and space before/after your spaces must by necessity equal the leading (using the align to grid option will force them to the grid, regardless of the chosen size). The grid should match the leading of your body copy.
If you have headings that you want space before and after, don't align them to the grid, but make sure that the total of the space before, after, and leading for the style add up to a multiple of the body text leading. That will work smoothly everywhere except at the top of a column, where the space before is ignored, and will be added to the space below by virtue of the align to grid on the body copy.
If instead of having all the copy lign to the grid you just want the top and bottom lines flush, and you want the leading within the paragraphs constant, but a variable space between paragraphs, set the text frame to vertically justified, then set the maximum spacing between paragraphs to a ridiculously large number and all of the extra space required to fill the column will be split between the paragraphs.

How to get uneven distribution of blended lines

Is there a way to achieve uneven distrubution of blended lines in Illustrator CS5? There was one other post on the web asking a similar question to this, which was solved by changing the blend spline.
This works great for objects, but not so much for lines.
Here is an example of what I am looking for where the top is what I would like to achieve and the bottom is the typical blend.

After using the panorama feature on my iPhone 5S for the first time today, two pairs of vertical white lines appeared on the screen and won't go away. I haven't dropped it so I don't think that's the problem. I rebooted it and the lines are still there. Any advice?

How to get audio input with no line in jack?

Apologies for this very basic question but I am increasingly lost and confused the more I search.
I want to convert some audio cassette tapes into mp3. I have an older mac mini that I believe does not have any kind of audio input jack. I have heard from various people that 1) I just need a cable to convert RCA output to USB input (but as far as I can tell such a cable doesn't exist) 2) I need to buy a sound card 3) I need a special standalone piece of hardware.
Which one is right? This is just a one time project and the audio is only voices so I don't want to spend any more than I need to.

WD ABAP: How to get the contents of selected table lines?

I'm trying to figure out how to get the contents of table lines back from the UI. I display a table with several lines of data. The user selects some rows. I want to move the contents of the selected rows to another table. I have a context attribute, say DATA, with attributes FIELD1... FIELDn, using a DDIC structure. These are bound to the table UI element and the corresponding table columns. To get the selected rows, I use wd_context->get_selected_elements(). This works, but what I get from this method is references to if_wd_context_element. How do I know which row (row number = ?) this corresponds to? And how do I get the actual data? I want a structure with FIELD1 = value1 FIELD2 = value2 etc. My context attributes FIELD refer to table columns, but I'm looking for the table line...
Can somebody help me?

Hi Ira,
wd_context->get_selected_elements() returns WDR_CONTEXT_ELEMENT_SET which is a table type of IF_WD_CONTEXT_ELEMENT. You can loop through the WDR_CONTEXT_ELEMENT_SET, get into variable say node_elelement which is of type ref to If_Wd_Context_Element. Then you could use the method GET_STATIC_ATTRIBUTES of If_Wd_Context_Element which returns a structure with values of all the attributes in the selected row.
If you need the row number, while populating the node you could have an additional attribute called rowno and populate it correctly. When you select the data using method GET_STATIC_ATTRIBUTES, you would get the appropriate row number.
