How to get deleted songs on iPhone back with iCloud?

I was playing around on my iTunes trying to figure out how to sync playlists onto my iTunes library because they weren't there and by accident I clicked on something and it took a lot of my songs off my iPhone. I backed up my iPhone about an hour ago, so how do I use that to put the songs back on my iPhone? Please help I'm so confused. I only have about 40 songs on it now which were downloaded from recent purchases I think, but how do I get the other few hundred songs back? Some of the songs weren't downloaded from iTunes, they were from CDs. Please help

Hi, I have recently erased and synced new music from my USB onto itunes however i realised I was also synced with my sisters iphone library, i had 260 songs on previously now I have 120 where has all my music gone, I tried backing up and nothin has been restored.
Also will it be erased from her itunes?

Deleting the backup only permanently deletes the backup from iCloud. It doesn't do anything to the data currently in your account or on your devices. To delete it, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of the device that you want to delete the backup for, then tap Delete Backup.
You can't see anything in an iCloud backup, if that's want you're asking. You can only restore it to your device. You can, of course, see your other iCloud data.

There are a few songs that aren't being deleted even though they aren't checked and aren't in the playlist in iTunes. How can I delete these from the iPhone?

Thank you! For some reason, I'm able to swipe and delete only the songs from the playlist that was checked. There were a few songs on the iphone that are not on the checked playlist and when I swipe them, the "delete" button does not appear - and the song begins to play.

How to get Photostream from 'business' iPhone to 'family' iCloud-account

There must be numerous pleople having this same problem :
I have a (in my opinon rather standard) setup in which I have a private iCloud-account on my 'business devices' (iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro) and I have a shared iCloud-account on our 'family' Mac.
Now I would like to arrange things the way that's most logical to me :
I want my business devices to sync the more 'business-like' iCloud services :
Mail
Contacts
Calendars
(Bookmarks is less important)
Documents & Data
Back to My Mac
Find My Mac
iTunes Store
Mac App Store
But I want my business devices to Photostream to our 'family' Mac's, since that's the device where our (only complete) iPhoto-library is on...
Now there seems to be no way to do so since :
- iCloud automatically uses the same iCloud-account for Photostream, Documents & Data, Back to My Mac and Find My Mac (only for Mail, Contacts, Calendars, iTunes and Mac App Store it is optional to use a different iCloud-account)
- setting up my business iCloud-account as the secondary iCloud-account on all my business devices would be completely un-logical and would not allow me to keep (especially) my Documents & Data 'business' ; they will be visible on our 'family' Mac, which is completely off bounds for my employer and my clients...
Has anyone found a solution to this ?
(or will this be solved in OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion maybe ?)
options I have thought about, but I couldn't get working yet :
- running a second installation of iPhoto on our 'family' Mac
- running both iPhoto and Aperture on our 'family' Mac
- getting the Photostream from my 'business' iCloud.com into our 'family' Mac by subscribing to the URL
- setting up one-and-the-same Eye-Fi account on my 'business' iPhone & iPad and on our 'family' Mac
- searching for a 3rd-party Mac-app that can read and/or import the 'business' Photostream info our 'family' iPhoto
- something involving Photoshop Elements 10 Organiser...
Any help would be helpful.

very interesting info, too bad however that Dropbox doesn't do auto-import into iPhoto...
I might have figured out a way to do this using Eye-Fi (free account, free iOS-app & free Mac-app ; by SanDisk) :
Eye-Fi seems to do auto-upload from iPhone/iPad, auto-transfer to a Mac (over WiFi, and if needed even over 3G it seems), and auto-import into iPhoto...
...it can even handle video upload (which iCloud Photostream can't)
and it has 'free temporary online viewing' with Eye-Fi View (which is kind-of like MobileMe Gallery...)
(and some payed extensions that are less interesting in my opinion)
...I'm testing right now if Eye-Fi works for me.
(Maybe I still need to combine it with Dropbox's auto-upload though...)

How do I delete songs on iPhone 4S running iOS7 without iTunes 11.1

I am hoping Mac represtentatives will read this. Please do not think that I am communicating in such a tone to any community member. I am grateful for all the help this community brings and would never speak harshly to you.
I am no longer able to sync my iPhone 4S to my iMac - a purchase I made in college that I have loved and with which I have had no problems. The reason I cannot sync is because I cannot upgrade to iTunes 11.1. Since I am running iOS7 on my iPhone 4S, I am no longer able to swap out music on my iPhone.
I had a similar problem when switching to iOS6 when my OS was 10.5. I purchased the upgrade and was able to update iTunes. Now it seems I cannot. I was told I would need to purchase RAM in the future in order to move up to a new OS. I am in no need to go up to a new OS as my current one works perfectly for all I need.
I'm really hoping the answer is not "Buy more RAM so you can upgrade OS again." I should not have to keep purchasing new Apple products so that I can listen to the music I have already purchased in iTunes on my iPhone (which is the only reason I purchase music from iTunes). There needs to be an alternative way, without requiring me to purchase anything, to swap out the songs I have purchased. I have paid for my music. I have paid for my computer. I have paid for my phone. I want them to f**king work. If I need to return my device to iOS6, I don't mind it. iOS7 is crappy and a major let down. But I need help reverting my device back to iOS6 AGAIN because my phone and computer will no longer sync.
Mac used to mean beauty of simplicity to me. Now I'm ready to start chunking these products out of the window. I will not conisder getting any new Apple Phone or product so long as this rouse to make me purchase more and more "extra" continues.
Been here too long, and purchased too many products, to be this disgruntled. HELP.

okay misunderstanding in my other post. but anyways...i have a desktop computer and a laptop. my laptop is what i sync my iphone to cause i am always on the road and working. my home computer is the computer which i d/l all my movies onto itunes. my movies are not on my laptop but i have my movies on my phone but i dont have my full playlist of songs since i synced it to the desktop. how can i send my movies to my laptop in order to send them and my full playlist back to my iphone??? is their a program or can itunes do it??? thanks!!!

If the movies are purchases from the iTunes Store, you can follow the steps in this article to transfer them from your iPhone to your laptop:

How to get Itunes media on iPhone back to PC or ITunes?

Hi all,
I have an IPHONE 4S, and (I wont bore you with the details) I have all of my purchased music on it (downloaded from ITUNES) and all of my CD installed music on my laptop. This was due to a catastrophic loss of media folder, and me attempting to re-build my library.
Using the "Transfer purchases from Iphone" option in Itunes does nothing.
I have even purchased "Media Widget" to assist me with this, but just says "0 of 0 files transferred" - there are over 300 files!
Does anyone have any ideas? I am suspecting it is the Apple download restriction piece causing the problem, as it wont let me download previous purchases from I-Tunes, stating "already downloaded" even though I have the dreaded "i" alongside each of the missing tracks due to my media folder loss mentioned above (dont ask! :-))
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

How do I delete songs from iPhone 3GS? (iTunes and finger swipe doesn't work)

I tried "Swipe to delete" but when I swipe, the delete red button doesn't show up.
On iTunes, I tried selecting songs then pressing Ctrl+X or the Delete button but it doesn't help.

Well, I struggled with setting up an iPod last year for my mother using my sister's laptop and had to figure out how to NOT sync my sister's music...my mother was not thrilled with her tastes

Connect it to a computer and open iTunes. You can delete it there.

Just tried to remove all songs by changing synch entire music library to selected playlists, didn't select anything and says 0 songs at top, however the 5 **** songs that I'm trying to remove are still left on my phone!! This is so stupid but bugging me so much!!

When you try to delete from a device running iOS 7, make sure to hold your finger on the song for a few seconds before swiping to the left. This should expose the red Delete button.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
use your backup copy to put everythng back.
