How to get Different language in ALV header

Hi Experts,
Please help to get the Header text in other language other than English.
I want to get Combodian language to be in the header so that the user can understand by looking at the header.Its is also required for the top of page event.
If any translations required in future is there any option to change that header

I think whatever header you want to mention that should be specified in fieldcatalogue. So in whichever format/language you are specifying in fieldcatalgue in that format/language only it will be displayed in alv.

the Formatted Search for prices is OK, but for the Item locations in warehouse this is not so simple,
I must have several (at least 2) locations for the item in the Warehouse and a track of this location and search possibilities.

I added a user table '@Location' who linked to a user field 'U_Location in Item master data --> lnventory data line and an ather user field 'U_Location' in sales order
I met the value of location in the table (list of locations for any warehouse), I select the location of each item while receiving merchandise in the user field of inventory data line (Item M data) and this value appears in the sales order 'U_Location' user field ( only the location value in the default warehouse for this Item)
or
create an user field 'location' in Good receipt PO to fill it while receiving merchandise that appears in the sales order to give possibility to find/select the location of the item at this order and in Item master data

How to handle different languages in Illustrator for big clients?

Hi Guys,
I need small suggestio for 'How to handle different languages in illustrator for big clients'. For instance; Arabic, this is a language which needs to be read from right to left instead of left to right. There are other strange languages as well (Cyrillic, Chinese etc.). It happens also that when you copy strange languages from a word file it will not be easy to paste it the correct way in a .ai file. Besides that, it’s also difficult to do a language check when we are not able to read it!. So, to make a long story short, I want to figure out how we can deal with multiple language circles?
Can you some please give me the solution for this...

I take it you might come from an arabic background.
Here is how you can help yourself to some degree.
Google has a translation feature and service which is at the moment free. It is excellent.
Secondly if you are working with ME languages you really need the ME version of Illustrator or any other Creative Suites Application in order for it to work properly.
It, is also best to enable the language and the input for that language for your system on the Mac it is easy you go to the Language and text feature in theSystem Preferences, once enabled you can select the fro the menu bar under the American flag if you are in the US. Thst will appear once you have more than one language selected.
You select the language input you need and then a font for that language then paste and edit.
You need fonts on your computer that are of those languages as well.
How to manage this as a work flow well that is something you will have to work on yourself or hire a consultant who specializes in this area.
We had a few visit here when they have come across a snafu. So they exists.

"Portal Content Area Builder" how to get rid of this page heading?
Hi All
I have created a Single page Website..??? by using folders.
when a user click on any link that call a folder but not a page and that folder is displayed with the layout specified in "Content Area Page" however there is no such option available to change the Heading <Title>Page title</Title> for browsers so for every folder called it displays a Oracle defined Content area page title.
"Portal Content Area Builder"
Is there anywork around for this.

This problem is fixed in Release 2. There is no supported workaround in 3.0.

In general, the Purchase order from will br triggered in the Vendor communication language. ( Maintained in vendor master-General date-Address) provided the Form has been maintained in the specified language in the configuration of output type.

Also, you have things like “lab_category_type” in this code. Is it a category or a type? In a valid data model that follow ISO-11179 rules you could have a “lab_category” or “lab_type” but never a mixed hybrid. In one of my books, I had something like “lab_category_type_id”
as a joke; it was so stinking awful that I never dreamed any programmer would really do this!
Also OUTER JOINs a rare in a valid schema. A good design will have DRI so you know you have matches. Since a table is a set, their names are plural or collective; but you have only one appointment according to your unseen DDL. And only one “Diagnosis_Report”,
etc.
Now think about “Lab_Category_Types” as a table. Regardless of how this ambiguous mess is resolved, it will be an attribute. An attribute is in a column, not an entity like you are modeling it. If it has a few static values then use a CHECK( x IN (..)) constraint.
If it is dynamic or large, then use a REFERENCES. Never use a join like this.
That silly, magical “delete_status” looks like an assembly language flag. This is what we did with tape files in the 1950's. We would have a bit in the front of records and flip it. Later a program would move the active records to a new tape. Ask yourself
why everything in the universe would share a common attribute. Such an attribute would be so generic as to be useless or (your case) it would be meta data and not part of the entity at all. Oh, rows are not records; you got that wrong too.

How to display different language?

first i input different language(like chinese ) into context
and then it will be stored into OracleDb
however when i view the jsp page, The character that i inputed is changed.
how can i do? And can i use class java.util.locale. give me a example.

you probably are getting the text encoded as ISO8859-1 instead of the Chinese. try translating it like this:
String s = new String(rs.getString("name").getBytes("ISO8859-1"), "BIG-5");
or whatever encoding you use for Chinese, where rs is a result set from the DB

Hi,
To get only the changed data in the ALV grid of a WD, you need to capture the "ON_DATA_CHECK" of the ALV grid.
To this please do the following in the ALV initialization of the ALV table settings :
    lr_table_settings->set_data_check(
            IF_SALV_WD_C_TABLE_SETTINGS=>DATA_CHECK_ON_CELL_EVENT ).
You may also do this:
    lr_table_settings->set_data_check(            IF_SALV_WD_C_TABLE_SETTINGS=>DATA_CHECK_ON_CHECK_EVENT)
The above two ways would depend on when do you need to check for the changed data. If you want to check the data as soon as it is entered, then use the first method. Else, use the second method.
You need to register an EVENT HANDLER for this event.(You may do this in your VIEW or Component Controller).
In this Event handler, you would find an importing parameter R_PARAM which is a ref type of      IF_SALV_WD_TABLE_DATA_CHECK.
The attribute T_MODIFIED_CELLS of this interface IF_SALV_WD_TABLE_DATA_CHECK will contain the modified cells of the ALV with the old & new values.

How to support different language and print in non-english language from AS

I want to print different language that users enter in Oracle 9i AS and print reports in english and other language like spanish.
How do I configure the AS Server, I am running 9i AS on Windows 2003, I have changed NLS_Lang setting in registry but it doesn't work.
Please provide setting and if any environmental vairables I have to set in Reports properties files or elsewhere.

Did you select the languages on the first screens of the Universal Installer, when installing this instance? If not, you may need to do it again to enable support for that language.

How to get user language in property renderer without web dynpro (java)

Normally I got it with:

But this only works in web dynpro applications. Now I need to get the language in my own property renderer. The code throws:
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.um.api.WDUMException: No client user defined for the current request (no regular Web Dynpro request as ITask is null.

Hi,
If you are in a property renderer you always have a IResource which inturn has a ResourceContext and ResourceContext has the Users object.
So the code should be:
IResourceContext resourceContext = IResource.getContext();
IUser user = resourceContext.getUser();
user.getLocale().getLanguage();
