Make sure Settings > iCloud > Photos > iCloud Photo Library (Beta) = "Off"
Then sync your iPhone using iTunes and make sure your sync settings for photos are set correctly in iTunes.

It sounds like you destroyed your boot partition and the recovery partition.  Depending on it's age, your MacBook Air might be able to do a net boot.  Plug and ethernet connection into it and attempt to boot.  If it has the right firmware, it will find a net boot configuration on the net and boot that.  Then it will give you a Recovery Partition like display and allow you to reinstall the OS X version that came with it.... assuming that it was Lion or ML.  If your computer came with Snow Leopard, then even the net boot won't work.
At that point you need a bootable USB Key, or an external DVD drive AND a Snow Leopard installation DVD.
An Apple Store, if there is one nearby, MAY be able to get you going again.  However, whatever is on the SSD now will be toast too.

  • How to get appstore for mac os x 10.4.11?

how to get appstore for mac os x 10.4.11?

Go to Apple menu -> About this Mac.   If you have a G3, G4, or G5 processor you can't access the App Store at all.
If you have an Intel Mac, updating to 10.6.6 is described here:

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET THE DOWNLOAD MAC OSX 10.7.0 BECAUSE NO MATTER HOW MUCH I TRY I CANT FIND IT

AS mentioned, you need 10.6.8 & the App Store first, it's not available any other way, & 10.7 instead of 10.8 requires a call to Apple...
    Snow Leopard/10.6.x Requirements...
    General requirements
       * Mac computer with an Intel processor
        * 1GB of memory (I say 4GB at least, more if you can afford it)
        * 5GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
        * DVD drive for installation
        * Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may apply.
        * Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and terms apply.

It's been pulled from the online store & Apple Stores, so you have to call Apple to buy it, last I heard.

  • How to get Outlook 2011 Mac emails in Mac Mail Lion version

how do I get Outlook 2011 Mac eml files to Mac MAIL for lion?

I'm not aware of an easy convertor from Outlook 2011 to Mac mail, but if you have still have access to the e-mail account setup in Outlook, I'd just setup Apple Mail to download the mail from that account. Then Mail will pick them up next time you get mail.
However if you don't have access to that account any longer or it's POP3 account, that won't work.
In which case you need to drag each mailbox folder (In-Box, Sent, etc.etc.) whilst in Outlook to a folder on you Mac (Desktop is fine), then from Apple Mail, goto Import Mail Mailboxes, choose Files in mbox format and select all your .mbox files, these will then apear in a folder called Import.

  • How to get iTunes and Mac OS 10.5 to leave my file organization alone

I’ve organized my MP3 files for iTunes (using Mac OS 10.5.6) on a MacBook Pro. I did this manually since I have over 600 folders and thousands of song files. iTunes had created a mess. For example some albums were split up into different artists, composers or album names. Some files names began with a space or a dash, so they were our of alphabetical order. There were all kinds of nonsence with duplicated files etc. Once I got things all cleaned up and orderly I tried to make a backup of the master list by copying the files to a peripheral hard drive. The backup folders instantly reverted and even compounded the chaos that I had just fixed! If I delete all files from iTunes and reimport I end up with the same mess. How can I get iTunes and Mac OS 10.5 to leave my organization the way I want it and not revert to the old mess?

    I don't understand.
If you uncheck *Copy files to iTunes music folder...* and *Keep iTunes music folder organized*, iTunes will not mess with the files unless you are RIPping them from CD using iTunes.
How do I change the tags so they are organized the way I want.
I don't know how you want them organized.
iTunes uses the tags and puts them into Artist/Album folders based on the ID3 tags.
If you are not using iTunes to organize stuff and simply naming things as you want, tags are irrelevant to how you put the files into folders and what you name the files.
When I copy the master list (with my organization) from one peripheral drive to another the files show up with the old names and folders.
    Okay.

It's not very likely, but your best bet is to contact Nintendo and ask if they will ever release a game version in the App Store.

  • How to get a Power Mac G4 to boot in slave drive (firewire) mode?

Have tried every trick in the book to get my G4 (dual 450, OSX 10.4.9) to boot as a firewire slave drive. (Want it to be a firewire driver for a new Mac Mini.)
Machine refuses to restart in that mode even if I select that startup mode from System Preferences.
Have also tried holding down the "T" key upon reboot. Machine begins to cycle up, then shuts down after about 15 seconds. I am using the keyboard that came with the machine when I attempt this.
Have read that some software (called OPEN OPTIONS) may be installed in Utilities folder. This app can be used to prevent someone from starting the Mac in "T" mode. However, the default is OFF. Further, there's no copy of that software anywhere on the machine. Further, I've done a clean reinstall and booted from that drive but it, too, refuses to boot in slave mode.
Only thing I can figure is the SONNET ATA/133 card is interfering. (Cannot remove it as it enables the 250GB drives I want to share in the first place.)
    Any thoughts or ideas?

  • How to get name and Mac ID off MB Air?

Selling a MB Air, so I need to get my name, registration, Mac ID etc. off it. Any easy way to do that?
Will adding a new account with admin privileges and then deleting my original account do the trick?
    Thanks.

Are you sure you have no personnal information in any data files on the system? No credit card numbers anywhere? Passwords to web sites? etc .... If I was selling a system, I would do a secure erase of the hard drive by writing zero's to it (use Disk Utility to do that), restore software to it's original state, then sell the system. If you want to be really good to the buyer, you can scan these discussions to see how to reset the system, so it starts up as if it were a brand new system, allowing the new owner to register with Apple.

My mate installed Mac OS X 10.8 Beta on my macbook but the majority of my DJ'ing software isn't backwards compatible... How can I get OS X 10.7 again?
    Cheers in advance,

    Is it Serato??

Beta OS's don't belong on production machines

  • HT204053 How to get rid of .mac address

I am getting a ton of spam on my old .mac address, I do not use it for anything (only use the .me version).  How do I stop receiving this junk email?  Or how do I get rid of my .mac address completely?

You can't get rid of it. What you can do is to set up a Rule on the iCloud website to move all messages addressed to thet @mac.com address to the Trash, the Junk folder, or a nominated folder as you choose.
Click the cogwheel icon at top right of the email page and choose 'Rules'.

  • How to get back into Mac OS X Leopard after installin Bootcamp

OK have finally installed Bootcamp and now want to get back to the safe world of Mac again, however although I have been following the instructions in the manual which tell me either to...
    a) set the default operating system in Windows by clicking on the Boot Camp system tray item (which doesn't seem to exist) or if it does is so hidden that I cannot find it, or,
    b) select an operating system during startup by holding down the option key (which is impossible as I don't have such a key on my non mac wired keyboard)
neither of them seem to work. Whatever I do I cannot get back into my Mac operating system.
If anyone has any ideas as to what I can try I would appreciate your help.
    Thanks

    Hello:
I believe the following should help. In Windows XP, make your way to C:\Program Files\Bootcamp. You should see an icon labeled "kbdMgr". Double click that and look for the tab labeled "Startup Disk". Click your Mac OS volume as the startup disk. By now, you should also see the gray diamond for the Bootcamp manager in your system tray. Clicking that brings up a menu that allows you to restart in Mac OSX or enter the Bootcamp control panel where you can select a startup disk.
