How to get h:inputText  value into java script

I have 3 date input fields when the page loads first time those fields values are "null" and by default i am putting with some dates by using onload function
function runOnLoad()
     var v1 = document.getElementById(document.getElementById("recordedDateProxy").value);
     var v2 = document.getElementById(document.getElementById("mystartingDateProxy").value);
     var v3 = document.getElementById(document.getElementById("myLastDateProxy").value);
     var v4 = document.getElementById(document.getElementById("reportsTypeProxy").value);
     if (v1 == null && v2 == null && v3 == null && v4 == null)
setDate();
          setTwoDate();
then,i am putting one date and making remaining two dates null (i.e disable two dates) when the page loads second time it was giving all the date fields null. But i know there is a value in one date field. but it was not taking that value so it was again calling setDate();
setTwoDate();
please help me

no there are only 3 date fields and laso one is a radio button value. what i am doing is
I have a jsp page in that 3 date fields are there and two radio buttons one is day type and one is month type if i choose day type radio them two date fields disable if i choose month type them first date field disable. ok
i have a button which get reports and print them in the same page so when the page loads first time then u can see in first date field todays date and remaining two date fields fill with starting date and ending date ok because i am calling onload function in onload function i an getting the values of these fields when those are null them fill with dates
after fetching the records page loads again and calling inload function again then it was againg taking all the fields null it was not taking the date what i have enterd thats y it was again putting the dafault values

  • How to get the tag name into javascript

    Hi,
    Is there any way to get the tag name into java script when user clicks on.
    For eg: if i use netui:anchor tag, how can I pass the tag id to the javascript when user clicks on the link using onClick attribute. This tag id needs to be evaluated at run time.
    Ex code is given below.
    function fun1(){
    // how to get the tag name;
    <%
    String st="hai";
    %>
    <netui:anchor action="x" onClick="fun1()" tagId="<%=st%>>
    I want to get this tagId (st) to the java script function fun1() when user clicks on this link. How can I do that. can you please help in this issue.
    Thanks,
    Satish.

    Hi,
    You can set the java variable as a js variable at run time:
    <script>
    var anchorName = <%=getNetuiTagName%>;
    function fun1()
    var anchorID = getNetuiTagName(anchorName);
    alert(anchorID);// this will show the rendered ID for the anchor specified
    </script>
    this works because the jsp variable will be rendered before the js.
    Thanks,
    Steve

  • How can i get this variable value into second page IN BSP

    Hi friends
    I have variable wk_matnr value 'ABC' in first page of BSP.
    How can i get this variable value into second page.
    Moosa

    Hi,
    you can define variable (page attribiue) on the second page with the same name. You can realise the Navigation with Button ther started onInputProcesing routine. In onInputProcesing you have to call navigation->set_parameter with attribut name as parameter and then starting the navigation. If you have checked the auto property on the variable on second page and varable have same name, the value of variable should be transported.

  • How can I pass a value into a page fragment?

    How can I pass a value into a page fragment?
    I am implementing four search screens. And the only thing different about them will be their backing bean.
    So I’d like to do something like have four pages, each which retrieves its appropriate backing bean, sets that bean to a variable, and then includes a page fragment which contains the generic search page code (which will make use of that variable).
    The code in the four pages would be something like this:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='windows-1252'?>
    <jsp:root xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" version="2.0"
    xmlns:c="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core">
    <jsp:directive.page contentType="text/html;charset=windows-1252"/>
    <c:set var="searchPageBackingBean"
    value="#{pageFlowScope.employeeSearchPageBean}"
    scope="page"/>
    <jsp:include page="./SearchPageBody.jsff"/>
    </jsp:root>
    At this point, what I’m seeing is that the fragment page, SearchPageBody.jsff, has no visibility of the searchPageBackingBean variable, either referencing it as #{pageFlowScope.searchPageBackingBean} or just #{searchPageBackingBean}

    The following will work, assuming you are needing to access a managed bean:
    Put this in the parent page:
    <c:set var="nameOfSearchPageBackingBean"
    value="employeeSearchPageBean"
    scope="request"/>
    Put this in the child, SearchPageBody.jsff:
    <c:set var="searchPageBean"
    value="#{pageFlowScope[nameOfSearchPageBackingBean]}"
    scope="page"/>

  • How to get the selected value in SelectOneMenu in backing bean

    Hello all,
    I need your help. I want to have 2 select menus with the second menu's items list are populated based on the selection in the first menu. I don't know how to get the selected value in the backing bean so that I can based on that select menu to populate the second menu's item list. Basically I need to access to the UI Component of the first select Menu and retrieve its selected value.
    Could you help me out?
    Thank you very much in advance,
    Lngo

    Hi Lingo,
    There r two ways of getting the values into the list. First one is hardcoding the values and the second one is use the list and get the values into the list by firing a query in the database.
    Inorder to display the values in the second menu based on the first onces selection we need to add an attribute to the first selectonemenu known as valueChangeListener and we need to sumit the page.
    Here is the sample code
    <h:selectOneMenu id="catalogue"
                                  binding="#{urbean.catalogue}" onchange="submit()"
                                  valueChangeListener="#{urbean.categoryValueChange}"
                                  <f:selectItem itemLabel="Select Catalogue" itemValue="" />
                                  <f:selectItems value="#{urbean.catalogueList}" />
    </h:selectOneMenu>
    <h:selectOneMenu id="category"
                                  binding="#{urbean.category}">     <f:selectItem itemLabel="Select Category" itemValue="" />
                                  <f:selectItems value="#{urbean.categoryList}" />
                                  <                         </h:selectOneMenu>
    now in method called by valuechangelistener we need to write the similar code
    public void categoryValueChange(ValueChangeEvent event) {
    String rfnum = (String) event.getNewValue();
    List categoryList = new ArrayList();
    List tempList = new TablenameDAO().getActiveCatByCatalogueID(rfnum);
              for (int i = 0; i < tempList.size(); i++) {
                   Tablename tablename = (Tablename ) tempList.get(i);
                   String value = "" + tablename .getrfnum();
    String label = tablename .getname();
         if (label == null) {
                   label = "";
                   SelectItem item = new SelectItem(value, label);
                   categoryList.add(item);
              bean.setCategoryList(categoryList);
    ///getActiveCatByCatalogueID (rfnum) should bring the records which r based on the rfnum
    if u follow this process i am damsure that u will get the values in to the secondlist based upon the first list
    Thanks & Regards

  • How to get a string "yyyyMMdd" into date like MM/dd/yyyy?.

    Hi
    How to get a string "yyyyMMdd" into date like MM/dd/yyyy?. i have used
    SimpleDateFormat.parse but it is giving long value. i want to disply the date
    like MM/dd/yyyy
    thank you

    Do you want the string rearranged or do you want to create an instance of some form of Date class?
    If you want to rearrange the string you could just do it yourself provided you know the date string is going to be of the format yyyyMMdd.
    something like this:
    String newDate = origStr.charAt(4) + origStr.charAt(5) + "/" + origStr.charAt(6) + origStr.charAt(7) + "/" ...etc.

    Hi,
    As a starting point, look at: [http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31036_01/doc/appdev.22/b28839/check_box.htm#CHDCGIFA] as this explains how to use checkboxes on forms and reports

  • How to get the column values

    hi
    i am new to programming... i would like to know how to get the column values... i have a resultset object
    i need code .... asap
    thnx

    @OP: It is always good to type complete sentences and describe your problem at length. It helps in letting people know what you really need instead of making wild guesses or silly jokes. You post mentions that you get the ResultSet. Then you should look up the API docs for java.sql.ResultSet and take a look at the getxxx() method signatures. Use the ones which suit the specific case.
    Besides, it is good to refrain from using asap and urgent. Even if something is urgent to you, it need not be urgent to others. Wording a question properly would attract better replies.
    Finally, would you mind getting down to specifics of your problem? From what I perceived, the JDBC tutorial and the API docs should provide all the information you need.
