How to get ImageReady CS slices into Photoshop CS3??

I have several website interfaces designed in Photoshop CS and sliced in ImageReady. I update these sites weekly and need to work within the established slice areas. I now have Photoshop CS3 and none of the slices come with the file when opened thanks to Adobe dropping ImageReady.
Am I missing something here?
Please help. Updates long overdue to these websites while I try to figure out this problem.
Thanks.
Kirk

The slices are for the entire interfaces on database-driven ecommerce sites, so when a product photo changes, etc. I need to replace it and the new one needs to be the exact same size obviously. Given that the interface is built by the database, the various areas that make up the interface (page top, side navigation, etc.) are not in a single document. This makes the option of redrawing all the slices and getting the resulting HTML back into the database very unattractive.
Isn't there some way of getting the existing slices out of ImageReady and into CS3 or Fireworks? Export as something and bring in as slices? Something?
Thanks.

  • How to get a string "yyyyMMdd" into date like MM/dd/yyyy?.

    Hi
    How to get a string "yyyyMMdd" into date like MM/dd/yyyy?. i have used
    SimpleDateFormat.parse but it is giving long value. i want to disply the date
    like MM/dd/yyyy
    thank you

    Do you want the string rearranged or do you want to create an instance of some form of Date class?
    If you want to rearrange the string you could just do it yourself provided you know the date string is going to be of the format yyyyMMdd.
    something like this:
    String newDate = origStr.charAt(4) + origStr.charAt(5) + "/" + origStr.charAt(6) + origStr.charAt(7) + "/" ...etc.

    how do i bring an image into photoshop?

    Additionally, if you've copied an image from a website or other location, you can go to File > New and, for CS6, at least, the canvas will already be the dimensions of the image you have in your clipboard. So, once you start that new file, you can simply go to Edit > Paste (or hit cmd V) to drop in the image.
    Please let us know if we can assist you any further.

    You would really need to export copies from the Aperture database, to folders on your hard drive and then import them into Organizer.
    Or continue with Aperture (don’t use Organizer) and simply send photos to the Elements Editing app as required.

  • How to get a work roster into ical

    Hi there
    Does anyone know how to get a work roster into ical so I can then sync it with my iphone and view my roster on my phone?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    All the best
    Enigma

    Depends on the format of the "work roster" - if it's a calendar file, you can import it with File menu > Import. If it's some other file type, you may not be able to import it and need to enter the events manually instead.
    You might try the iCal forum.

  • Png-24 import into photoshop cs3

    Anyone know a way to import png24 into photoshop cs3 / cs4?
    whenever i do it all i get is a solid transparency.
    i want to be able to batch several icons. lowering them in image size.

    Does that remove the transparency or show the mask? The reason I ask is I have someone on another forum that is quite inquisitive. And would like to know how to do this. He states it is possible to do in AE so it should be possible in photoshop.
    I currently only have CS3 but hopefully that changes next month.
    The images that he needs this done on are renders from a 3d program. I assume he prefers png format even though it does support of formats including those that don't support transparency or an alpha. The thing is some images can take quite awhile to rerender.
    The work arounds I told him about was to either
    a)render just the background and place it on its own layer below the image. or
    b)use a 3rd party program that does not support transparency or alphas like MSPaint.
    I will forward your suggestion about CS5 though as I don't know what version he is using.
    If anyone is interested in the other conversation you can find it here at http://www.spinquad.com/forums/showthread.php?29237-Photoshop-equiv-of-AE-s-quot-ignore-al pha-quot

  • EVS - how to get selected values back into model?

    Hi all!
    I am new to ‘WebDynpro’ but I’ve got a closer look to the tutorials but since I didn’t found a hint for my problem I try it this way! The situation is the following:
    I am using selector fields to support the user with some constants to choose from but it is still possible to enter the data directly into the input field.
    I followed the tutorial for this purpose with the difference that I initialized the selector fields with data coming from the model. This happens in the ‘wdDoInit()’ of the view controller.
    The problem is how to get the selected value back into the model without forcing the user to use the F4-Help or trigger a ‘onEnter’ event on the input field.
    Due to the modification of the data type at runtime I can’t bind the attribute of the view context holding the selected value to another one of a custom controller context.
    I hope there is a simple solution because I am just asking for a common functionality on a web site.
    Thanks in advance!
    Frank

    Reiner,
    I cannot fully understand your requirements, but probably my solution described in blog post <a href="/people/valery.silaev/blog/2006/03/10/minus-evs-plus-ovs-value-help-smart-input">Minus EVS, Plus OVS == value help + "smart" input</a> will help you.
    My idea was to use OVS instead of EVS with pair of calculated "proxy" attribute and real attribute. Real attribute has enumeration, proxy attribute used for input. In my solution real attribute is always synchronized with proxy attribute...

  • How to get the tag name into javascript

    Hi,
    Is there any way to get the tag name into java script when user clicks on.
    For eg: if i use netui:anchor tag, how can I pass the tag id to the javascript when user clicks on the link using onClick attribute. This tag id needs to be evaluated at run time.
    Ex code is given below.
    function fun1(){
    // how to get the tag name;
    <%
    String st="hai";
    %>
    <netui:anchor action="x" onClick="fun1()" tagId="<%=st%>>
    I want to get this tagId (st) to the java script function fun1() when user clicks on this link. How can I do that. can you please help in this issue.
    Thanks,
    Satish.

    Hi,
    You can set the java variable as a js variable at run time:
    <script>
    var anchorName = <%=getNetuiTagName%>;
    function fun1()
    var anchorID = getNetuiTagName(anchorName);
    alert(anchorID);// this will show the rendered ID for the anchor specified
    </script>
    this works because the jsp variable will be rendered before the js.
    Thanks,
    Steve
