Then you are out of luck.
Take the device to Apple for an Out of Warranty replacement or find a local repair shop.  Without a functioning power button it is impossible to determine if the issue is the battery or something else.

  • How do i stop a game from jumping or turning itself off when i am playing on it?

When i am playing on temple run 2, subway surfers and the odd occassion candy crush, the game is slow to when i am directing them to move or they are just turning themselves off. Does anyone know why this is or how i can stop it? I have tried turning ipod off and on again and deleteing the app and re-installing it and nothing is happening.
Any help would be great. Thanks.

    Try This...
Close All Open Apps...  Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

  • SRM 7.0 - Unable / How to get into DEBUGGING mode in BADI

    Hello SAPions,
I am unable to get into debugging mode from WebDynpro Portal screen to R/3 BADI in SRM 7.0 .
I placed a breakpoint in the BADI, and logged into the portal screen.
However, in SRM5.0, to get into debugging mode from ITS, we place a break point in the BADI, when we browse the ITS link from the IE browser, we will be able to get into debuggin mode.
    Any other way ?
    Regards,
    Ashwin.

    Hello,
    Please check the following:
    1. Application server name, the SAP GUI and the portal should be logged into the same application server.
    2. You should be logged in with the same User in both SAP GUI and the Portal.
    3. External debugging should be enabled for the User in SAP GUI.
    4. Also try checking the check box , IP Matching . This can be done as below:
Utilities -> Settings ->  ABAP Editor -> Debugging ->  IP Matching.
Also please check the following in the above link , if you have the same user name here with which you have logged onto Portal and the New Debugger Radio Button is Selected.
    Hope this helps.
    Best Regards,

  • IPod touch disabled, cannot get into recovery mode or unlock to enter passcode.

I've got an 8GB iPod touch that is disabled, cannot be unlocked, and it will not go into recovery mode. When I plug it into iTunes, it says "iTunes could not connect to the iPod touch because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iPod touch before it can be used with iTunes." At the top is a red banner that says "iPod is disabled connect to iTunes" and it won't let me unlock it to enter a passcode and I've tried the recovery mode where you plug it in when powered off holding the home button, but I guess the iPod isn't updated enough for it to work (doesn't look like the new Apple OS) because when I do that, it just powers on like normal. What do I need to do because I'm definitely at a stopping point. Please help me get this iPod into working condition.

Try Recovery Mode again. Timing is critical so it may not have been done correctly the first time. Detailed instructions at: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808.

  • New SSD: How to get into Recovery?

    Hi,
I am going to be installing a SSD into my 2011 15" Macbook Pro. After I install the SSD, how should I boot into OS X Recovery? Should I use Internet Recovery even though my Mac came with OS X 10.7; Now running 10.10.1? Or should I create an OS X Recovery USB Drive? Once I get into Recovery, I will use my Time Capsule restore to my SSD.

    Hi mikecao2000,
As OS X Recovery is dependent on having the recovery parition on your MacBook Pro's current working hard drive present, you will be unable to use this once that drive is removed. See this article about using Recovery -
OS X: About OS X Recovery - Apple Support
Note that if you use Internet Recovery, the original OS X version that came with the computer (in your case Mac OS X 10.7 Lion) will be reinstalled.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Best,
    Brett L

  • When I plug an HDMI cable into my Macbook Pro, it just turns itself off. Help?

So I am trying to hook up my non-retina Macbook Pro to my HDTV to use it as a higher quality monitor, but one of two things always happens. When I try pluggingg in the HDMI, then turning on my Mac, it fails to detect the display. If I plug in the HDMI when the Mac is already on, my laptop will just turn itself off immediately. If anyone could tell me what I'm doing wrong, or if i need to get something else, it would be greatly apreciated.

I am wondering if you may have some debris in the output port where the plug is not allowed to be fully inserted.  If not, take to an Apple store genius bar for a free evaluation.
    Ciao.

  • How to get into Safe Mode (win7)

I have a user who installed Windows 7 on his Mac (natively). He now has a virus - which means he needs to run his AV software in SAFE MODE (running a scan in normal mode is usually a waste of time).
But.... how in the heck do I get his computer to boot into Safe Mode? On a PC, I would hit F8 at the Bios screen. But the Mac Bios is completely different.
Or will hitting F8 still work?

EFI is still a 'basic IO system' and while you can't booted into EFI setup screen, you can do Safe Mode. All computers have to bootstrap the system and have basic firmware supported method. UEFI will though have a harder time be adopted - though support for booting from GPT and 2.1TB volumes may force it.
For AV, I would strongly recommend Microsoft Security Essentials, free and darn good which was updated yesterday.

  • Can't figure out how to get into "Reader Mode."

The little book icon just won't appear in the title bar no matter what I do. Tap, long press, double tap, etc. What did I do to cause this and how to get out of it? Moto X, Android 4.4. Thanks.

Thanks, Guigs2. I still have more or less the same problem whether "Auto rotate screen" is enabled or not: the little book icon appears in the address bar for some pages and not for others. Example: home page of NY Times shows no icon, but go to any news article you like and the icon will appear just fine. Washington Post works the same way.
    I have no addons, BTW.

Yes. Plug it into your computer and restore it. Once it's in recovery mode, that's your only option.

  • How can I get the Auto Brightness feature to stop turning itself off?

I just moved from a GS5 to the GS6. I'm having several issues with the GS6. For this discussion: I check the box for Auto Brightness control. Shortly thereafter, the box seemingly un-checks itself and the brightness blasts up. That's not easy to read and it certainly will deplete my battery charge more quickly. Have I missed something?  Thanks for any and all help.@

Thank you!  I removed The Car/Driving app and the Auto Brightness function
has been behaving for almost 1/2 hour now.  That's a record! I appreciate

If this method does not work, then you will need to fully Restore your
        device as New
Also, see iTunes- Restoring iOS software.
If none of the above do what you need, then do the following:
Placing your device into recovery (DFU) mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
       1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the
other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
       2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds
until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
                  * If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the
Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off,
release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
      3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the
device. The device should turn on. Note: If you see the battery charge warning,
let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some
charge, and then start with step 2 again.
      4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
When this screen appears you can release the Home button:
      5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:
      6. Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
    Additional Information:
If you have a problem getting into recovery mode then try: RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode.
Note: When using recovery mode, you can only restore the device. All user content on the device will be erased, but if you had previously synced with iTunes on this computer, you can restore from a previous backup. See this article for more information.

  • I have just set a passcode and somehow i am entering it wrong. I put it into recovery mode and says i can restore due to the fact i do not have the latest iOS. is there ANYTHING i can do? please help ASAP.

i dont know how i typed in my pass code wrong and now my iPhone is disabled. It will not let me restore it because i do not have the newset version of iOS 7. Please helppp

I thought you could still restore using iTunes on your computer.  iTunes would download iOS 7.0.4 (current version) then restore from there.  Of course, this assumes you are using a reasonably current version of iTunes.
Anyway, if I'm wrong and you cannot restore, try recovery mode descrbied here.  Note you may have to try to get into recovery mode more than once.
