How to get ipad 2 to recognize printer

I can get to a print dialog but no printer is available.  I have an HP Pro P1102w.  It should work.

Hi,
Also make sure your printer's firmware is up to date, the P1102w not necessarly shipped with the latest firmware and AirPrint support has been added into the firmware on some later stage:

  • How to get a PIXMA MG2920 to print websites from my iPad Air

    I wanted this printer so I could print crochet patterns off websites using my iPad air. It doesn't, unless it's a PDF opened in a web window.
    I downloaded the recommended app on my iPad, set up the printer using a laptop, and then it detected the printer in the iPad app. Tried test printing, and it worked.
    But I couldn't print a website- can't even find a button or setting to do that, unless, like I said before, it's a PDF on a web browser page .
    Then I found the canon mobile printing app and downloaded that. It won't even find the printer or recognize that there is one. What do I do????? I'm getting so frustrated!!!

    First off, do you have the UDF form visible?  If not, I'm not aware of a way to retrieve the UDF data without the DI-API.
    Assuming you're printing with the form active, you can use the SBO_Application.Forms.ActiveForm.TypeCount value to obtain the "instance" of the form, I'd guess.  I haven't tried it, but I assume it would work:
    UDFForm = SBO_Application.Forms.GetFormByTypeAndCount(-133, SBO_Application.Forms.ActiveForm.TypeCount)
    Then your field would be:
    UDFValue = oUDFForm.Items.Item("U_MYFIELD").Specific

  • How to make iPad 2 Bluetooth recognize my bluetooth phone

    My cellphone has Bluetooth but my iPad will not recognize it. How can I can get the iPad to recognize the phone?
    Thanks for your help.
    Vernon

    I read most of these posts when I was frustrated with not being able to Bluetooth my iPad2 to my Samsung Galaxy Note II.  In the end, I resorted to Wifi tethering which was only a half way measure, as I had to keep reconnecting every day, and I really did not fancy topping up on my 3G SIM card for my iPad when my phone plan was an unlimited data one.
    Well all these "you can't" posts are RUBBBISH, because you can; I have!
    This is what I did - don't know if all the steps are necessary, or not...
    Went to SETTINGS on the SN.  Selected Bluetooth.  Selected 'Pair Device' etc
    Went to Settings on the iPad and did the same.  Keyed in the given code etc and paired them (did this a few times, but it never stayed on even though a few times they paired for seconds.  I unpaired, paired again and went through the process a few times.  i made sure that the devices were in close proximity).
    It was at this point that I gave up and settled for wifi hotspot tethering.  Just 3 days ago, I was messing around on my settings on my iPad and saw that next to the Bluetooth setting was a check box which if you clicked said something about your device being discoverable, or seen, or something (I am not reversing what I have done to be certain, sorry).  I clicked it, and Bob's your uncle!  I have not been disconnected for 1s since then, and I am on my iPad for at least 4 hours a day.

  • How to get my macbook pro to print in color?

    how can i get my macbook pro to print in color?

    Attach a color printer (either directly to your Mac or to your Home Network) set it up correctly, and choose Print from the File menu.
    A more specific answer would require you to supply information about your Mac, your Mac OS X version, your Printer, your attachment method, and the version of the Driver you are using.

  • How to get the IP address of printer USB attached to Time Capsule?

    I'm trying to work a printing problem with my HP7310 Officejet and VMware's Fusion 2.0.3. I'm on Mac OS 10.5.5.
    One of the first diagnostic steps for Fusion is to ping the IP address printer. If I open the Print & Fax dialog from System Preferences I can see the name of my printer, let's say it's called "foo bar". I then open a bash terminal and type: ping "foo bar", but get an "unknown host" message.
    I can ping the Time Capsule itself by getting the IP address from Airport Utility. The printer "foo bar" shows properly in the Airport Utility Printers dialog.
    Anyone have any suggestions?

    If you open AirPort Utility > Manual Setup > Advanced > Logs & Statistics > DHCP clients, a list of the devices will be displayed with their IP addresses. Make note of these.
    You will have to get the IP for your printer by process of elimination. Go to
    System Preferences > Network to see your ethernet and wireless connections and associated IPs. You should be able to narrow the list down to identify your printer.

  • [SOLVED] How to get BASH scripts to recognize mounted partition paths?

    I don't understand how to get the bash script in the root partition to find the boot partition--both mounted at /mnt.
    I'm following the instructions on configuring "dm-crypt with LUKS" tutorial. The mkinitcpio command to generate the "initial ram disk environment" is producing an error while the system is booted from the install disk and the volumes it looks for are mounted at /mnt.
    #mkinitcpio -p linux
    ==> Building image from preset: /etc/mkinitcpio.d/linux/preset: 'default'
    -> -k /boot/vmlinuz-linux -c /etc/mkinitcpio.conf -g /boot/initramfs-linux.img
    ==> ERROR: specified kernel image does not exist: `/boot/vmlinuz-linux'
    ==> Building image from preset: /etc/mkinitcpio.d/linux/preset: 'fallback'
    -> -k /boot/vmlinuz-linux -c /etc/mkinitcpio.conf -g /boot/initramfs-linux-fallback.img -S autodetect
    ==> ERROR: specified kernel image does not exist: `/boot/vmlinuz-linux`
    The script located in /mnt/root/etc can't find the "temporary kernel" located at /mnt/boot.

    And read them carefully, there should be no /mnt/root/etc/.
    There should be a /mnt/etc/ and a /mnt/boot and /mnt/root/ which is the root user's home directory, not the root filesystem (and of course /mnt/usr ...) - or if you decide to nest the whole thing deeper you could have /mnt/somename/etc and /mnt/somename/boot ...

  • How to get ipad to recognize a new Apple ID

    My ipad recognizes an old email address that I had when I bought the ipad as my user id. I changed my apple id but the ipad still brings up the little sign in box for iCloud for example or if I open an app like Facetime. It brings up the sign in box with the old email address ID. I can't get around it. It won't accept my password. How do I get the ipad to delete that old address and start recognizing my new Apple ID?

  • How to get iPad to recognize my new email address and password?

    I have two gmail accounts. One was being used with the iPad and the other with my Apple/iTunes account. In an effort to simply matters, I decide to use only one for both/all Apple encounters. I got the click here to confirm email and did as instructed...it seems to be working fine with my laptop and when my iPad is connect to that laptop while using iTunes. However if I try and use just the iPad to do something like upgrade my apps "it" asks for my pw and it is still showing the old email address and won't accept the pw.
    I'm at my wits end and my wit isn't all that long anymore so, as you can see, the end is near! Aplogies if this has been asked and answered, but searching was useless.
    TIA for your help pointing me in the right direction!

    I got a Gmail that said I had to confirm that I was the one that made the request, etc. It said, in part...
    Wondering why you got this email?
    It's sent when someone adds or changes a contact email address for an Apple ID account. If you didn't do this, don't worry. Your email address cannot be used as a contact address for an Apple ID without your verification.
    And the link that said "Verify Now"...
    So I did.

  • I'm trying to share a new Canon printer wirelessly between my HP laptop and my iMac.  I've successfully printed from both computers, but, I get errors trying to print on one after I've printed on the other.  Any ideas on how to get them to both to print?

    I installed a new Canon printer several months ago that I was told by the salesman could be shared between my iMAC and HP laptop.  I have successfully used the printer wirelessly from both computers, however, it gets hung up switching between the two and I'm not sure what to do to get it to be consistent.  Any ideas?

    You didn't state how it's connected to each computer, if it's connected through your router then it should work. If it doesn't then you need to contact Canon and ask for assistance.

    How do I get the print option on my pc that lets me choose color or black and white in Windows?

    Hi ep43,
    Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I understand you would like the options to change from color printing to black and white on your HP Photosmart 7525. I would like you to follow the steps listed below on your computer:
    1. Go to your Start Menu
    2. Select Devices & Printers
    3. Right click on your PS 7525 and select Printing Preferences
    4. Click on the Advanced Options
    5. Here under Printer Features, you will have the option to Print in Grayscale, Black Ink Only or Off (which would default to color printing)
    I hope this helps!
    Thank you,
