HOW TO GET ITUNES BACK TO NORMAL AFTER FORMATTING PC.....XP PRO

ok so i have a fresh computer, i just finished installing itunes 8.0
im pretty sure i backed up all my itunes info and folders properly to my external HD
i just plugged in my iphone to the fresh PC and it didn't transfer all my info from phone to PC....but at the bottom it does give the detail info or space used for songs, video, apps, other and free space.....but when clicking on the tabs at the top (ie info, music, videos, apps, ringtones....none of my stuff is there, it's all blank.
I was hoping my phone would dump its contents onto itunes....no luck
SO MY QUESTION IS: how do i re-fill itunes with all the files and folders i backed up on the external?? I tried dragging and dropping or right clicking and coping into the itunes icon on my desk top screen but no luck, it won't accept it.
Any help would be amazing guys!!

PS....MOSTLY IM CONCERNED ABOUT IMPORTING MY APP INFORMATION INTO ITUNES....FOR EXAMPLE, ALL THE TO-DO LISTS IVE WRITTEN OR DIARY LOGS IVE WRITTEN IN IDIARY OR NOTES FROM NOTEPAD

The itunes to iphone music sync is one way. Iphone does not support transfer of music from iphone to itunes.
If you saved your itunes folder, then you can replace the itunes folder on your new computer with the copy you saved to external drive. I'm not sure about PC but with Mac I just drag all the music to itunes and it imports.
You can use the help function in itunes to assist you as well.

When I scrolled text became very small and I do not know how to get it back to normal

I don't know what happened. I was moving my mouse over the screen and the text kept shrinking, until it's so small you can barely read it. I don't know how to get it back to normal size.

Anyone know how I get iTunes back onto my new 4S?

Just noticed this evening, when I wanted to go to the iTunes store, that the application is missing. Does anyone know how this could have happened or how I get it back (short of doing a complete re-install of the OS).

You cannot delete it. It is likely on another sceen, in a folder or you have restrictions set.
Check all of these.
If this fails then just reset your homescreen layout.

How to get iPhoto back in order after recall? Is rebuilding your photo-library dangerous?

I recently had my iMac recalled, and when I got it back, about a quarter of my 62,000 photos only show the thumbnail vies. When I try to enter them to edit them, I get a black exclamtion point within a white circle and no access. I called support and did the 6 steps to rebuild. No results so far.
My back-up is questionable beucase as the comupter hard-drive was dying, it stopping backing up the exteral hard-drive 4 months prior to the actual recall when they replaced my hard-drive.
SO . . . I spent 20 hours putting every **** photo on DVD's before the recall to make sure I didn't lose them. Now I can reload the photos from the DVD's and the photos are all there and normal. However it is time consuming.
THE QUESTION IS - SHOULD I DO THE MAJOR REBUILD WITH APPLE SUPPORT, OR CONTINUE TO RELOAD FROM MY DVD'S?

I did the list of repairs APPLE support gave me, but I do not believe it included thte Option+Command launch. Is that a full rebuild that risking losing my organization (books, slideshows, etc)?
I do have two external hard drives which I alternate every few months in case of fire, and which are connected (one at a time) with time machine. Apparently during the internal hard drive failure I missed that the external backups stopped working, and the faulty hard drive would not let me back up when I tried before the recall. NOW my backup works, but it is backing up the faulty data! If I use the old back up I lose 4 months of data, if I use the new I have the fautly data. I think I am back to reloading with the DVD's I made. By the way, I made them becuase I had a computer AND it's external hard drive fail beyond repair 4 years ago. At that time I was able to rebuild my photo library from discs becuase I had made a CD or DVD of every project as I downloaded it from the camera. Heres to backing yourself up in multiply ways!

My Itunes was regularly freezing when I added any type of file to my library. To fix this problem, I followed the steps to enter Safe Mode. While it did work, the steps afterwards to lead me to my Plugins and 3rd party software were futile, as opening these folders displayed nothing. I dont believe I have any 3rd party plugins at all, so what could the problem be, and how can I fix it?
Itunes has already been reinstalled and updated, so this is not the issue. Running on Win7 Aspire.

Also, I cannot edit the playlist. Once it's on there, it's on there for good.

I cant believe it but after of hours of fooling around with it I got it. only thing is i tried so many different things that I can barley remember which way worked. but ok here it goes:

ok first go to my computer. double click Local disk
C. now go to your screen name if you have more than
one user computer. click on my music. if there is no
itunes folder then that is part of your problem. now
me, in order to find this folder i simply typed in
"itunes" in the search section of my computer found
in start. once i found it i put it on the desktop and
then dragged it into the my music folder. then...
My search found 211 files/folders with iTunes in them !! Which specifically is the one to drag into My Music ?

I just updated my iphone 3GS to IOS 5. I can see that my phone updated, but my apps, which were backed up on my PC, but did not reload to iphone. When I sync, nothing happens.
