My computer went through a sytem recovery. Now everything is gone and I downloaded itunes again but, it won't let me put any music on.

Restore the media from the backup of the computer.
You do have a backup of your computer or at the very least the iTunes folder, correct?
iDevices are not and have never been backup devices.

have you tried adding iTunes to your login items via system preferences > accounts > login items and checking the little box next to it

If your device is not recognized by iTunes, I would recommend the steps in the article below. Start with the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.

They show in the camera roll, just not your computer?
Have you checked every folder that is in the DCIM folder?

1. As per your instruction, I turned off iTM.
Small discrepancy – where are two screens with iTM switch:
-Settings > iTunes & App Store.
-Settings > Music
I switched OFF in both.
NB: I turned device to English for convenience.
2. My next step was Setting > General > Usage – tapped {Music};
{All music} screen appeared; I swiped it and taped Delete.
3. I performed “hard reset” …………………………………..
4. Switched back On iTM
5. Taped Music app on Home screen
iTM has started – (it took 18 minutes to completed, 60 mbps Wi-Fi speed )
Regret to inform… All the same:
Erase and reset to factory default? Or I did smf wrong?
