How to get itunes movies to output via firewire port or other

I work for a small school tv station in which I'd like to move the students to serving up videos via itunes because it would be easier to add new content to the loop than what they are doing now (which is basically adding a quicktime movie to another and rerendering.)
To get it "on air" the signal currently uses simplevideo out to send quicktime playback thru firewire which is hooked to a deck. the analog of the deck is hooked to a VCR which sends feeds the on air broadcast.
What I'd like to be able to do is have a playlist called "on air", set Itunes to show in separate window and have that window feed on air.
The only solution I can think of is to to ask for a laptop for them and use a dual monitor-like setup and put the expanded window on the 2nd screen which would actually be a VGA to analog converter which could then be hooked to the VCR.
Is there anything simpler, hardware or software which might interface with itunes to play the movies out to a VCR/TV? AppleTV won't work because I don't have anything HD unless there is some converter I am overlooking.

You can connect the iPad to your Mac's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, that should copy it over to the Movies part of your library.
Depending upon what country that you are in, and whether the film studio allows it, you might also be able to re-download it on your Mac via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page.

While you're in itunes, with the leftside window open, click on Apps. Then, look across the top middle of your itunes screen. You will see several choices: All, Iphone/iPad Touch, Ipad, Ipod Games, List, and Updates.
Clicking on each of these gives you a different view.
When you select ALL you will see all of your apps. When you select Updates you sill see only the apps that need to be updated. When you are in Updates you will see the Update button in the lower right corner.

Please understand I am a frustrated customer like you, , but the availability of movies that have been shown before is dependant on licencing from the rights owners. Sky quite rightly have to pay the film studios for the ability to show to Sky's customers. As I understand it they purchase the right for a period of time, hence when the right expires then it has to be removed. The costing of the movies does reflect on the anticipated popularity of the programme, hence an older less popular movie might seem expensive but if not many people watch and pay that would be right. The apparent silliness of having movies in the store and on demand, allows those people who do not have a movie subscription to rent the movie on a one off basis. I agree that Sky seem to be licencing some programmes for shorter periods and it really upsets me when movies appear in buy and keep but not available to rent only. I recently queried Sky about Fortitude being available in OnDemand until 2022!, then of course found out that Sky owns the rights of the series. I can only say be careful if you are a movies subscriber and wish to watch a movie, not to select the Sky Store version if it is available in the Movies on Demand section. I recently wanted to watch a film that I found in Sky store at a cost, and just to be sure I searched for it and found it was to be shown on Channel 4 in a few days. I don't think we'll ever understand how such decision are made as to how long they licence movies for and how the charging model works with the film studios. Logically you would think that a smallish fee to have available indefinately and to pay the studio fee based on the number of rentals would be better, but that might be difficult to administer and Sky would have to have extra server storage fees, which they outsource. It's not going to show under purchases because it's a rental. You have to go into settings - iTunes - check for rental.
Note: a rental will disappear once it's expired (after 24hrs or 48 hrs depending on location)

Go to Settings>General>Usage. How much space does it show you have?
If you connect your phone to your computer, what does iTunes say is on your phone? Do you see a large amount of "Other"? If so, you may have a corrupted database. You'll need to sync your phone then restore it as NEW (not from back up) then re-sync your data).

1. As per your instruction, I turned off iTM.
Small discrepancy – where are two screens with iTM switch:
-Settings > iTunes & App Store.
-Settings > Music
I switched OFF in both.
NB: I turned device to English for convenience.
2. My next step was Setting > General > Usage – tapped {Music};
{All music} screen appeared; I swiped it and taped Delete.
3. I performed “hard reset” …………………………………..
4. Switched back On iTM
5. Taped Music app on Home screen
iTM has started – (it took 18 minutes to completed, 60 mbps Wi-Fi speed )
Regret to inform… All the same:
Erase and reset to factory default? Or I did smf wrong?
