How to get iTunes songs off of a iPhone 3G?

My daughter had lost her iPod touch and I gave her my old iPhone 3G to use. The iPhone was set uped to my laptop since her's was broken at the timeShe has bought a lot of music on the phone and has now gotten her laptop fixed. So now she can't sync her iPhone to her laptop without losing everything on the iPhone. Is there a way in iTunes to redownload her purchases again on to her itunes account on her laptop then wipe the iphone clean and reload everything?

Your daugher should go to the iTunes Store within iTunes on her laptop and download all the songs that are on her iPhone 3G but not yet stores in the iTunes Library on her laptop. Downloading them again will not result in any charges.
She can then connect the iPhone 3G to her laptop and do a normal sync, the first of which will wipe the phone and set it up to use her laptop as the primary sync device.

Im trying to get a song from iTunes into Rezilla. I've tried looking for a program that will convert it into SND, but without money, i'm outta luck. So i've resorted to getting the song out of my iTunes library by using HEXADECIMALs! Since I've never used hexadecimals, I have no past skill or even how to use it. Rezilla, unless there's another program by the same name, is an editor for the resource and data forks of a file, and as such can have no use with an iTunes track (none I know of, anyway). It certainly cannot convert an audio track to some other audio format. Nor can you convert a track from one format to another by going into the track file with a hex editor; it just not possible.
I'm not aware of a free converter than can output SND files unless ffmpeg can.

How do I get iTunes songs off the iCloud back onto my computer, preferably without changing the purchase date to today's date?

Trying to download previously purchased iTunes songs that are firmly embedded in the iCloud. At one point these songs were all on my computer. Then I idiotically joined iCloud. All the songs were sucked off and into iCloud. iCloud couldn't provide more than twenty seconds of any song without freezing whatever device, Macbook Pro, iPhone 4s, ipods, or breaking up the playback into fits and starts and finally silence, ever, no matter if the connection was cable or wireless.
I have ever update on every device, I have the max. RAM, excess disk/flash space. The problem is the difficulty of downloading. Oddly the download to my ancient PC went almost without a hitch, it is with Apple devices that the trouble lies.
About 2/3 of the songs have successfully downloaded to my computer. However the purchase date, which I used frequently as a search/sort function, have on many of the songs been switched to today's date, or the date of the latest download instead of my original purchase date.
Many songs downloaded, many remain in the cloud with the 'cloud' icon beside them.
Clicking on the "download all" icon doesn't download them all.
They begin to download and then stop/freeze.
I'm reduced to manually scrolling to each song and clicking on the 'cloud' to download, this works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. The whole thing usually crashes after a while.
This is where I am now, at the iTunes store on the "Purchased" page with all my songs in a list with "downloaded" or a "cloud icon" in the far right column, frozen once again.
I really would like to maintain the original purchased date(the day when I purchased the song from iTunes) but I'm to the point where I'd just be happy to get them downloaded onto the Macbook Pro, and hopefully never deal with the cloud again for the rest of my life.
Lastly, if anyone can recommend an alternative music site to iTunes it would be welcome.

I copied the iTunes file from the external drive and it's in both places. I thought all I would need is the iTunes program (which I downloaded to new computer) and my iTunes library file. There must be something else that's missing. My iTunes library looks the same on the new computer as it does when I open it on the external drive. If I click on an iTunes library song from my new computer, it will only play if I have the external drive plugged in.
My back-up drive is a mess. I have multiple copies of music, video, photo, and document files and I don't know how that happened. ={ Obviously, I don't know how to back up stuff properly and there are back-up files extending over a 6- to 8-year period. I think all I did was just drag and drop the main folders from the back-up drive to the same main folders on the C: drive. Also (and I'm kind of fuzzy on this) Windows used to automatically save music files in a folder within my document files (which makes no sense to me). As my Jewish friends would say, "Oy Vey!"

I have never had this much trouble trying to solve a problem but here goes.
I recently purchased a new Macbook Pro in February, my wife gets my 2 yr old macbook. I got all my data over to my new MBP, but my wife wants to get her itunes library from her old Toshiba laptop on this macbook because it has all her playlists. Whats still on the Macbook is my itunes which my wife and i home share but she has her library, and i have mine.
To even add more issues, we each have iphone 4's and Ipad 2's and we want our own stuff
I tried to un-install iTunes a week ago on the Macbook. did it, but it popped right back up when i rebooted the computer?
Please help

Quick answer if you let iTunes manage your music: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Start iTunes with the option key held down and guide it to the new location of the library.

There are several methods of deleting songs from the iPod and/or iTunes, and the method you choose depends on the settings you have selected for your iPod.
If you have the iPod set to automatically transfer songs, and you no longer want a copy of those songs on either the iPod or in iTunes, simply delete the songs in iTunes. Highlight the songs you no longer want then right click and select "clear", or from the edit menu select "clear". Next time you connect the iPod, the songs will be deleted from there also.
Only do this if you no longer want the songs on both the iPod and your computer.
You can also use the "only update checked songs" method in the iPod options (right click on the iPod in the source list in iTunes and select options, then select "only update checked songs"). With this preference checked, you can remove the check mark from the songs in iTunes that you no longer want on the iPod. The next time you connect the iPod, those unchecked songs will be removed from the iPod whilst still being retained in iTunes. You can check and uncheck songs as you change your mind about what songs you want to put on the iPod. Songs that have no check mark against them will be skipped over when played back in iTunes.
If you have the iPod set to manually manage your songs, and you want to delete the song from the iPod only, then select the iPod in the source list of iTunes, or click on the "music" option underneath it to show all your songs. Highlight the song(s) you no longer want on the iPod, right click and select "clear", or use the edit menu as previously mentioned.
This method only deletes the songs from the iPod, so if you no longer want the song in iTunes also, you'll need to delete it from there separately using the method above.
If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, all these settings can be found in the summary screen.
If you want to delete everything from the iPod and completely erase the hard drive and start from scratch, then you can restore the iPod to factory settings.
Only do this if you have the songs in your iTunes library, or a back up somewhere other than the iPod itself.

How do I get my songs off my IPad after installing new ITunes?

I suppose this question has been asked a couple million times, but here goes a million and one. I have an IPad and I have 4608 songs that I spent hours ripping from CDs to my system. I then used my micro sized brain to figure out that if my system crashed I would have a backup of these MP3's on my IPad for safe keeping. Fix the puter, reinstall ITunes, do a backup and restore, bingo back in business. Of course all my pics, movies, apps, contacts, calendar etc are there but no songs! to my horror no songs. it does not care about the 30 movies that i have copied over to it and would take hours to redo. Nope it wants me to spend days/months re-ripping those **** songs again. Why, every other device on earth allows you to do this. What is apple trying to do? Make me want to throw my IPad into the trash compactor? This makes no sense! Sorry I blew up. Does anyone know of any safe way to get the songs off my IPad so I can load them back on my puter and have ITunes recognize them and use them again?

You select the music you want to sync to the iphone, then sync. The same way you get any other music from your computer top your iphone.
