There are several ways you can pull the music off your iPod and onto iTunes.
There is a very direct method, which I personally prefer, but there are also numerous third party applications, which will help you accomplish the task as well. Hello. Today I downloaded then transferred some songs from a YouTube converter to my desktop then into my iTunes Music. I then synced my iPod Touch to get them on my iPod now all of my other songs are gone! How do I get them back?!

Hello. Today I downloaded some songs from a YouTube converter. I selected the songs I wanted and tranferred them from my desktop into iTunes. I clicked on "Music", which I believe is where ALL of my other songs that I already had on my iPod, should be. But they're not. They're all gone! I tried logging out and searching my original songs I had in the search box, but nothing shows up. Only the songs I had transferred from the YouTube converter are displayed in my iTunes music, and I don't know how to get them back. I also tried syncing and restoring my iPod back from iTunes Backup but that didn't work, either. I don't know what to do! Please help!!

When you do a sync iTunes will only transfer the music you have selected. So you want to make sure that you select every song to sync.

Contact iTunes support and explain your situation to them. They may let you redownload it at no cost.

To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music

You'll need to switch off iTunes Match on the device & sync the iPod with iTunes as hopefully you've kept all your music on your PC.

Buy the songs that your friend put on the iPod that you liked. They had no right to give you the copyrighted music when they sold you the device.

I was trying to fix the "ghost" songs on my ipod touch 4th generation today. Somehow I ended up deleting all my songs from the touch. And when i check thee info it says '6.4 GB others' and '567 MB free.... And don't know how this could happen but i really want all my music back!! And my memory is full, so i can't put new songs on it.... S, the question: is there a way i can get all my songs back?? And if that is impossible, how do i clear my memory, so it's free for new songs??

Well, shut my mouth! There was a similar question over to the right about a 6th generation nano repeating over and over again -- I read the answer to that one, followed the instructions, and holy crap, it's back to normal.
Is there a name for this when you end up replying to your own aggravating question? That's what I did. Now I can go out and listen. It's only 91 degrees. Heaven. Thanks, Apple.
