Have tried to get out of full screen mode by pressing F11 and f11 and esc but nothing works.  any suggestions?

Shift-CMD-F toggles full screen off and on in Fx. Also, if you've put the Full Screen icon in the Firefox Toolbar, bring the mouse cursor up to the top of the screen. This will reveal the toolbar and you can click on the icon to return to normal.
Get the icon from View>Toolbars>Customize. Drag it into the Toolbar somewhere.

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • How to get Windows 7 to see frozen iPod Nano

    Hi,
After installing Windows 7 on my PC, I installed and updated iTunes then tried to sync to my iPod Nano (5th generation).  I got an error code while doing this, which unfortunately I did not record but is probably irrelevant now anyway.  I then tried to restore the device.  This process also stopped with an error code and now my iPod is frozen.
If I apply power to it, I get a message flashing on every few seconds telling me to restore with iTunes, but the device is not even visible in iTunes.  It is not visible in Wndows Explorer either (not sure if it should be or not).  I have tried reinstalling iTunes with no effect.  If I hard reset the nano (toggle Hold then hold down centre and menu buttons), the following happens: I get a flash of the Apple logo on the nano and iTunes says 'iTunes must check the iPod software update server to identify this device'; I click 'Check'; iTunes says 'iTunes needs to prepare your iPod for recovery.  Please leave your iPod connected.'; I click 'Continue'; iTunes displays 'Preparing iPod for recovery'; this then disappears and nothing else happens on either the iPod or iTunes and the device does not appear.
I have even tried all of the above on a different PC with a fresh install of Windows XP, so it is hard to see how the fault can lie in Windows.  It really does seem that the initial crash while restoring the iPod has left it in a permanently-frozen state.
This was a wedding present and I can't afford to replace it because I am currently unable to work because of health reasons.  Which is a way of saying I am pretty desperate.  So if anyone can help with this, I really would be most grateful.
    Kind wishes, Patrick

    Thank you for the answer.
I tried resetting the iPod with no luck.  I tried reloading the system software from iTunes but this too froze.  I passed the unit on to a friend with a much more modern PC and - even after contacting Apple Technical Support - they could not get it working.  Apple said that the unit needed to be sent into them at a cost of ninety-odd quid.  Needless to say, I was not impressed.
I now have a Sony Walkman hooked up to Media Monkey and am much happier.  Okay, the unit is not quite so flashy, but I never used half the stuff on the nano anyway.  The Walkman has a solid, reliable feel about it, and was a lot cheaper than a new nano.
    Kind wishes, Patrick

  • ITunes: how to get out of "full screen" mode in Lion?

running Lion for the first time - I hit some kind of a a wrong button on iTunes, and it went into some kind of goofy full screen mode.  How do I get it back to the original mode?

You  must have tripped over the double-headed arrow symbol at the right end of the menu bar.  To get back, slide your cursor to the top of the screen to display the menu bar and slide right to the double-headed arrow (now enclosed in blue) at the right end of the menu bar.

  • How to get out of full screen mode

This can't be difficult but for me it is annoying. It would probably help to know how I got here in the first place

It would help to give us more information about your computer. If you can, use EtreCheck  Etresoft: EtreCheck  to generate a system report and paste it in a response here.
Does this happen with other apps, or just chrome?
Try a safe boot (restart, hold down shift until you see the Apple logo). If this eliminates the symptom, then you know the problem is with some third-party software you have installed. Mac OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?

  • How to get the clock to run on ipod nano 6th gen

    help?

If you have it set for automatic syncing, you can create playlists ("music folders") in iTunes, organize your songs in the playlists as desired, and sync those playlists to the iPod.  That is the most convenient way to do it, because you can update the playlists at any time, even when the iPod is not connected.  When you connect the iPod to computer, any changes are synced automatically.
HOWEVER, a lot of people manually manage music (because they have music on the iPod that is NOT in their iTunes library).  If that is your case, here's how you create playlists directly on the iPod.
Find your iPod in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES.  Click the little triangle to drop down the iPod's content (indented under the iPod).  Right-click on the iPod, and select New Playlist.  Name the playlist, and drag songs to it from the Music list.

  • How do I get out of "full screen mode" on my tablet?

I don't know how I got into full screen mode first of all and I can not figure out how to get out of full screen mode. I have a tablet, my toolbar with the menu symbol is missing at the top and the bar at the bottom is missing. I don't have any keys with "F" features, so I can't press F11. Does anyone else have this problem? I have windows 8.

Argh. There aren't many things more frustrating than an app hogging your entire screen.
Do you have a compact keyboard? If so, there should be a key labelled ''fn'' and another key which is labelled ''F11'' (maybe in blue writing). Try holding down fn and press the F11 key.
Alternatively touching or swiping right at the very top of the screen should reveal Firefox's toolbar - you can press the [[Image:New Fx Menu]] at the top right and then select ''full screen'' to shrink Firefox back down to size.
    Hope those ideas help! :)

  • HT3224 I am new to Mac and started transferring data from my PC to my new Macbook Pro.  Connection was lost once I started and now my Pro is stuck on the 'Transferring Information' screen.  How do I get out of this screen to attempt the connection again?

II am new to Mac and was trying to transfer data from my PC to my new Macbook Pro.  The connection was lost however and now my Pro is stuck on the 'Transferring you nformation' screen.  How do I get out of this screen so I can attempt the connection again?  Is it safe to force shut down of my Mac and will it still prompt me through all the setup process again?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
If your Mac and PC are connected by Ethernet, unplug and plug that cable again. If not, you have to turn off the MacBook by holding the Power button.
In the next startup, try to transfer your files again. It's important not to interrupt the transfer process, because in most cases, you will stop it and you won't be able to resume it

I Don't think Microsoft updated it for those buttons. Look for a blue button with arrows in it on the right side of the menu bar.
    Also try Esc key.
