How to get phone support for Aperture?  Cannot install.

I am so frustrated with Apple. I just purchased Aperture from the store. I typed in the serial number on the Install guide, and it tells me it's not a valid serial number. So I also have a valid support ID, but I haven't found anywhere on the Apple website where I can use this ID to get support. Is the message that Apple only supports amateur users, but pro-users are on their own?
Please - I am in a terrible hurry and went to great lengths to get ahold of Aperture, only to find the retail version DOA.
I'm installing the retail version of Aperture (3.1) on SnowLeopard 10.6.5.
Thanks for any ideas. I had previously thought of Apple as the best customer support out there - I can't believe how bad they are with pro products!

OK, I solved my own technical issue. As a standard procedure (for convenience and speed), I typically first copy my DVDs to my hard drive as a .dmg image, and then install them. (This greatly facilitates when I reinstall my OS.) Anyway, it turns out Aperture doesn't work right when you do this - Aperture and Photoshop are the only two software products I own that must be reinstalled from a DVD directly. Installing from the DVD directly solved the issue.
But I am not marking this question as solved, because my bigger question, the one I'm still mad about, is where are people supposed to get support for Apple pro products? Where do we use our Support ID? Thanks to anyone who knows. Forums are definitely appreciated, but are available even when companies have no support.

    Your best bet would be to try resetting the password to the account that you would like to use via iForgot
    Once you log in to that account change the email address to anything, it can even be fake its just a placeholder
    After you do that you will be free to change your old email address on your appleID to the new one that is now free to be used as it is no longer attached to the other account.

  • How to Get Missing Dates for Each Support Ticket In My Query?

    Hello -
    I'm really baffled as to how to get missing dates for each support ticket in my query.  I did a search for this and found several CTE's however they only provide ways to find missing dates in a date table rather than missing dates for another column
    in a table.  Let me explain a bit further here -
    I have a query which has a list of support tickets for the month of January.  Each support ticket is supposed to be updated daily by a support rep, however that isn't happening so the business wants to know for each ticket which dates have NOT been
    updated.  So, for example, I might have support ticket 44BS which was updated on 2014-01-01, 2014-01-05, 2014-01-07.  Each time the ticket is updated a new row is inserted into the table.  I need a query which will return the missing dates per
    each support ticket.
    I should also add that I DO NOT have any sort of admin nor write permissions to the database...none at all.  My team has tried and they won't give 'em.   So proposing a function or storable solution will not work.  I'm stuck with doing everything
    in a query.
    I'll try and provide some sample data as an example -

    The full solution, off the product page, is the recommended solution for this product. It works for most windows applications and installed by default.
    The PCL 5 UPD driver only works for the 1606 models and is recommeneded for general office printing and 3rd party or custom software programs.
    The XPS print driver (off the prodcut page) is recommened for capturing and printing exactly what is on the screen.
    When you install the UPD driver, I would recommend that your install it in the traditional mode instead of the dynamic mode. Just my preference. This way you don't have to wait for it to search for the printer everytime you want to print.

    You probably have the Voiceover accessibility feature turned on. It's difficult to navigate as you need to use specific voiceover gestures. The easirest thing to do is connect the phone to iTunes. Select the Summary pane and click the "Configure Universal Access..." button.  In  the window that opens,select "Neither" in the seeing options and click "OK".

    I am evaluating Premiere Pro CS5.5 on Mac OS X & downloaded the  demo version of the stablisation plug-in ProDAD Mercalli V2 & was so  impressed that I paid $249 for the standalone & plugin versions for  Windows & Mac. As it turns out there is no standalone version for  Mac but that is by the by. The very big problem that I have is that I  cannot unlock the demo version that puts a pink cross on the image &  cannot contact anyone at ProDAD to get some help.
    I removed every last trace of Mercalli I could find. I have removed  & re-installed Mercalli & Premiere several times. I do not get  an UnlockMercalli program installed as described in the PDF manual &  help but the whole description of installation & registration in  the manual, help & FAQ doesn't match up with what I see anyway e.g. I  cannot register the product for "free email technical support" because  there is no 'Registration' button
    The problem is that there is apparently no way of contacting ProDAD  technical support or obtaining any support for this product. The emails  with download link & serial number came from element5.com who appear  to be just handling the on-line shop. I am directed to www.prodad.com  for technical support but as far as I can see there is no help there  beyond a few FAQs. I can find no way of raising a support ticket, no  support forum, not even an email address. This is crazy for a moderately  expensive & very sophisticated software product.
    This has been the most frustrating exercise that from some other forum  posts that I found while Googling others have had severe difficulties  getting any support for Mercalli.
    Please does anyone have a way of contacting ProDAD support? At present I  have a non-functioning piece of software that I cannot get fixed or  even figure out how to get a refund.
