How to get photos off iPhone

I have an iphone 4s and I have some photos that will not come off the phone.  I have tried to get them off with iExplorer, Aperture, iPhoto, Image Capture and Graphic Converter and none of these programs will recognize the pictures.  The strange thing is that of 154 photos on the camera roll 50 are recognized but 104 are not.  I can get the file number to appear but no picture will come up.  I can't even mail the picture but it will show up on camera roll only on the iPhone.  This has to be a bug in the operating system.  Many people are having the same problem so Apple has to be aware.  Another reason to look at other phones.

    What photos?
    Camera Roll?
Copying personal photos and videos from iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer
    Photo library?
The sync is one way - computer to iphone.

How do I get photos off of my Windows 7 PC to my iPhone 4S and iPad Mini automatically through iCloud?

On a Windows PC the easiest way to get pictures from your iPhone is to just use Windows Explorer.
    1) Plugin your iPhone to your PC
    2) Open “My Computer”
    3) Find your iPhone, it will appear as any other camera would
    4) Open iPhone to find your Photos
    5) Select the pictures you want to copy to your computer and copy/ paste them into the desired location on your PC.

  • How to get photos off iPad 1st gen

Anyone know a way I can get photos off an iPad 1st Gen? It is not recognized by iPhoto 9 that is currently running on Mavericks.
This should have been synced a long time ago but my wife never did and now has photos on it that she wants.... I know, I know....
    Tried:
    - Using Image Capture - does not see it
    - When I launch iPhoto, it says "Loading" and never does anything.
    - iTunes does see it but that doesn't help to get photos off of it.
    - Saw a program that let's you transfer files off but it cost $30 and thought there might be a way to do ift for free.
    Thanks, Jeff

The iOS version has nothing to do with importing photos.
Where are the photos located? iPhoto will only get photos that were saved to the iPad like saved from an email attachment. Those are in the Saved photos album
If the photos are in another album they were synced to the iPad. To get those you need a third-party program like PhoneView or TouchCopy

  • "MyComputer" will not recognize iPhone. Can not get photos off iPhone.

I can not get the iPhone to pop-up in the "My Computer" window as a camera or device. Adobe Photoshop Album nor any other program will see iPhone as a device. So, I cannot access and down load the photos I have taken with my iPhone. I have tried unpluging and replugging the USB cable and all I get is a bing-bong sound. I'm also one of those that can not sync with Outlook 2003. I don't know if the problems are related, but I'm sure waisting alot of time trying to get this thing working the way I hoped it would. Any ideas?
    Dell   Windows XP

I have a Mac with iPhoto and it "just works".
Here is how it works on the Mac. Plug in iPhone. iPhoto opens and offers to download photos from iPhone to Mac. Asks whether you want photos deleted off the camera. Lets you name the roll. Asks if you want to download duplicates.
Then iTunes takes over and does a sync.
I know you don't have a Mac, but my best advice would be...have Adobe Photoshop and iTunes both open, and do a sync.

  • How to get photos off my Apple TV

There are family vacation photos on our Apple TV that we can't seem to locate anywhere else. How do I get them off my Apple TV to save them on my computer or to a flash drive??

There are no photos stored on the ATV, it is merely streaming them from a computer (via HomeSharing) or the PhotoStream on iCloud.

  • Getting Photos off iPhone (those not taken w/ iPhone Camera)

Does anyone know a way to remove photos on an iPhone? I'm talking about photos NOT taken w/ the iPhone camera, but those in iPhoto albums I put on the phone from my laptop (conacts, other iphoto stuff)
My harddrive crashed and there are several albums that I lost on the laptop, but I have them on the phone. I can't seem to get them off the phone using iPhoto or Image Capture. The only list iPhone sees is those photos taken with it's own camera.
    Thanks
    David

    I'll check it out thanks.
Easiest way I found is e-mailing the photos back to my computer (one at a time-sheesh!) and then re-importing them into iPhoto.
YEah- they're not the same high quality as the originals, but better than having them gone forever!
    Thanks for the help.

  • How to get photos from iphone to ipad ...?

I am tyring to get photos from my iphone to my ipad...the photos from the ipad moved to my iphone but photos from the iphone did not move to the ipad. Photostream settings are on; wifi is connected on both devices...

You're welcome.  It is possible to stream to older photos to your iPad by adding them to a shared photo stream and inviting yourself as a subscriber (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99).  Another option is use an app like PhotoSync to transfer photos between your devices over wifi.

  • How to get photos off old iPhone

I just got the new iPhone 4s. Synced it to my iTunes and iPhoto. I downloaded photos to iCloud from my iPhone 4 before I got the new iPhone 4s. Unfortunately, iCloud was not turned on on my iMac. So, the photos did not go to my iPhoto stream. I tried connecting my old iPhone 4 to iPhoto, but now iPhoto doesn't recognize it. How an I get those photos from the elusive and mysterious iCloud? Or off the old iPhone 4? (Yes, I know I should've synced the 4 before getting the 4s. I did the night before, but then took some Christmas party photos at work, and I really don't want to lose them.)

I downloaded the photos to iCloud from my iPhone4 via wi fi while in the ATT store just prior to getting the iPhone 4s. On my iPhone4, the Christmas party photos are on the camera roll and also on the photo stream. On my iPhone 4s, there are no photos in the photo stream. However, the photos that I took at a concert last night did upload to iCloud and are visible in the photo stream on iPhoto. The Christmas party photos are not on the iPhoto photo stream.
So, where in the iCloud are the Christmas party photos? --- I should've just emailed them to myself the old fashioned way.

  • Can not get photos off iPhone on Mac or PC after updating to 1.1.1

I have a windows XP machine and it doesn't see the iPhone in the 'My Computer' directory (as mentioned in a similar post) so there is no way to download pictures.
When connected to my G4 Mac (running OS X 10.2.8), the iPhone does not show up but it is recognized by two of my photo apps; Image Capture and iPhoto. Both applications see the iPhone as a camera. Image Capture shows 0 (zero) items available to download. iPhoto shows 'Apple iPhone - Contains no photos'.
I have 189 pictures on the iPhone's 'Camera Roll' that I took with the iPhone (in addition to the folders I sync with via iTunes). iTunes obviously does not sync with the iPhone's 'Camera Roll'. How do I get to these pictures off the phone? Please help.
    Thanks.

There is definitely something wrong, but I couldn't tell you if it's your phone or your computer. I'm on 1.1.1 too and my phone still appears as a device in XP and behaves as it always has.
I can't recommend doing something Apple doesn't want you to do, *but if you are willing (as a last resort)* there is a way to access the file system directly and download the photo files in a way that is similar to how you would from an FTP site with FTP software.
It would require you to go to the site that puts installer on your phone. Once that is done install "open ssh" (to be able to connect to your phone and install "services" (to disable and re-enable ssh as needed for security purposes). Then use a program like winscp (works like other ftp programs but allows different types of connections - in this case an scp connection) to connect to your phone. The camera role is located in: \var\root\media\DCIM\100APPLE\. From there you can copy them to any location on your PC.
If you phone is showing up as empty when you connect it to your computer then there might be something wrong with the area the photos are stored in, or maybe it's too full. I don't know what the limit is or if there is a limit. Just bouncing around some ideas.

  • How to get photos off my iPod that were on a app?? PLEASE HELP _ !!!

I dropped my cracked iPod touch 4th generation in water and now it's just done. The touch doesn't work anymore (by that I mean I cant touch it anymore, I cant slide it open or slide it to turn it off). It wouldn't really be a big problem cause I plugged a USB cord in my iPod into my laptop and it downloaded all my photos from my iPod onto my laptop. The problem is I had a lock app (that kind of app that you can keep private stuff in/the app you need a password for) and I had many pics of memories on there that I will never get back. They didn't download onto my laptop like the rest cause they are not technically on my iPod, they're on a app.  I have been trying to find a way to get those pics onto my laptop but with my iPod unable to open I have just given up. I would take it to a shop but they would probably just reset it and delete everything. You guys are my last hope. Is there ANY way I can some how save those pics?? If not tell me because keeping this iPod around is just saddening :/ PLEASE HELP! (I don't know if this is useful information but My Ipod was NOT a IOS 7, it was a 6 something.. I dont remember exactly but It was not a 7, but a 6. something)

Can you backup the iPod? If so then either:
    - Restore another iPod touch, iPad or iPhone for that backup
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If you have an iTunes backup you may be able to extract the photos from the backup by:

Wondershare Dr.Fone for iOS: iPhone Data Recovery - Wondershare Official

If iTunes sees the iP then yo maybe be able to use a program like iFunBox or TouchCopy to get the photos fro the iPod
