How to get Podcast on a nano 4 gig

I have a nano second generation 4gigabyte. I wanna upload some IllWillpress podcast on to it, Though podcast isn't even on my Itunes manager list on my Ipod. i tell it to Sync but nothing goes through but new music I have imported

well it is very simple ...
the first thing you have to do is go on google and type in " imesh download" its for free
after you are done downloading it and installing it make sure you save it on desktop ...
ya so when its done the picture will be a picture of a orange ladybug thing when you click it you will make an account for free and than you will see an icon that says search you search the music you want type it in and a whole bunch of songs and videos come up dont click the music with the purple beside it click on the music with the green beside it (that is audio) make sure you listen to it before so you know what it would sound like when it is fully complete go on the library icon also found at the top you will see the music file you downloaded right click on it and click "show file" than a file will show up right click agian and this time click open with > iTunes after you have opened it on itunes you might probley be listening to it on itunes than click on the picture of your ipod click music make sure that sync music is checked off sync you ipod and there you go and if you want here are some great tips........
1.if you want to change the name of the song right click on it on itunes than click get info go on info write the songs name and the artist name
2.stay on the same "get info" page and click on artwork you can get an image form google and copy paste it on to the artwork you will have a picture of the album when the song is being played
3. you can also search up lyrics for your song on google and copy paste it to Lyrics

Getting podcasts onto my nano??

Okay, I already have some podcasts on iTunes and I'm trying to get them onto my nano. I try to drag them individually to my ipod on iTunes, but it doesn't do anything.
I tired syncing all podcasts...they didn't show up on my nano. I tried again with syncing selected podcasts...again, got nothing.
Can someone please instruct me on how to get my podcasts onto my nano? I tried reading the manuels but they aren't specific enough (or something's wrong with my nano I guess)

Is it possible that these podcast that you are trying to transfer to your iPod are video podcasts?
If so, you won't be able to transfer them to your iPod, since an iPod nano cannot play any video content; only the Fifth Generation iPods can.

How to get Podcast Album Artwork?

Hello everyone!
Most of the Podcasts I am subscribing to come without the Album Artworks displayed on the iTunes Store.
Does anyone know how to get them, since the +[right click] > Get Album Artwork+ method doesn't work for Podcasts?
Some of them cannot be found on the Internet...

Where are you looking for them on your iPod? They should be under Music-->Podcasts.
Also, try right clicking a podcast episode. Go to convert selection for AAC. See if that converted file transfers to the iPod.
Finally, are you automatically updating music as well?

Does anyone know how to get a 6th gen nano to just play a single podcast and then stop? My old 2nd gen did this, but its slicker replacement has this annoying habit of just ploughing through the whole list.

How to get podcasts onto my ipod so I can see what's going on?

My G3 15GB ipod with version 2.3 on it...
My podcasts sync over from itunes OK. But by the time they get onto my iPOD its really hard to see what's what.
The ipod shows a "Podcasts" playlist. But really they are not presented in an elegant way. What I get is a long list. Grouped by the podcast. But not in the same order as they are on my itunes. I can't figure out what order they are in - some podcasts seem to be oldest to newest, but others are all jumbled up. Perhaps its to do with download order or something.
Worse is that a 3G screen isn't that big, and most of the titles are completely non-unique. So I can't tell which episode is which. So right now I have 5 titles that say "iTunes New Music T...", 5 that say "Update Wizard 200...", 5 "Inside Mac Radio - ...". What good is that?
I'm looking for suggestions as to how to organise this so I can see what's happening. What I'd like is:
- a top level that just has the podcast title,
- a second level for each podcast with the episodes
- I'd like to see the episode date rather than, or as well as, the title.
Lastly, I'd really like ability to create a "listening program" for me - a "smart playlist" - basically a playlist that will take me through my new podcasts. that would make it easier to hear the new stuff in the car without having a crash whilst trying to figure out what is what on my ipod.
Suggestions would be welcome. Apple, I think you really could do better on this one.

HELP! I want to put my podcast on iTunes, but am having major trouble figuring out how to do it. Here are the details.
I created a website using iWeb, and it includes a podcast. The website is www.insidestories.info. I am using a non-Apple host, namely BlueHost.com.
I put the first episode of the podcast onto my site. Now I want to make the podcast available on the iTunes store and other podcast directories. iWeb automatically created a subscribe button. I know I need to get the URL for the RSS feed to proceed. So what I did was publish the site, clicked on the "Subscribe" button, and that was the URL that showed up on iTunes (though it said there was no valid feed at that address). Though I'm not sure that's the right URL for the RSS feed. The URL I got was www.insidestories.info/SFAUDIO/Podcast/rss.xml
Anyway, I then tried to submit that URL for the RSS feed -- both to the iTunes store, and also to FeedBurner. Neither one recognizes that URL as having a valid RSS feed. So I'm stuck!
So my questions are: Is that the right URL, or even the right format for the URL for an RSS feed? Or is there something else I need to do to create an RSS Feed, before submitting it to the iTunes store or Feedburner? Once I get the RSS feed validated, I think I understand the steps from there. I really need to get this podcast out there soon. Thanks for any help!

How to get podcast arrow to go to iTunes store page

Right now, when I click on the arrow next to the name of my podcast, it goes to the website affiliated with the podcast instead of the podcast page on the iTunes store like most podcasts do. How can I fix this?

The <link> tag is the url that the "website" button on the podcast's page will go to.
I have several feeds in the iTunes podcast directory, none of them list the iTunes URL anywhere in them.
I think that podcast page link is generated automatically when the podcast is submitted to iTunes.
In your case, I did a search for your podcast in iTunes, subscribed to the feed, clicked on the -> next to your podcast name and got your podcast directory page...not your website. Clicking on the website link on the podcast's directory page brought up the USC AACF website.
Seems to work for me.

How to get Podcasts not to play with songs?

I just downloaded about 10 podcasts, and this is the first time that I have downloaded any podcasts. I noticed that when I started playing my music that the podcasts are also in my music lineup, and therefore they also play with the music alphabetically. I would like to seprate my podcasts from my music. How can I do this?

You can create a "Music Only" smart playlist in iTunes with the settings:
Select "match all of the following rules" and set filters:
Kind - contains - audio
and
Genre - is not - Podcast
This playlist will exclude podcasts and anything not audio (eg videos). In the future you can add additional filters to exclude audiobooks, etc. If you want to play music, just play this playlist.

How do get podcasts in itunes

I have a folder on line with about 50 or so podcasts (mp3) and I am trying to figure out how to add them so that people can find them from itunes. I am using Joomla for the site. Any help would be appreicated.

Can't get podcasts onto iPod nano!! please please help!

I've been trying and trying to figure this out but I don't know what the problem is. Whenever I try to sync my podcasts to my ipod it will seem like it's downloading and it will say "syncing ipod. do not disconnect" for about 5 seconds and then it will say "ipod sync is complete" but the podcasts aren't on there.

Have you double checked to make sure these Audiobooks are configured to sync to your iPod from under the iPod's Books configuration tab in iTunes? This is assuming that the audiobooks are already stored in your iTunes library and appear under the Books category.
To access this configuration tab, plug in your iPod and select it from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes to bring yourself to the iPod's Summary tab. Now locate the Books tab across the top in the main iTunes window and select it. Here you can configure what and how audiobooks are synced to the device.
If you make any changes to this tab, make sure to hit the Apply button on in the lower right hand corner. This will sync the updated changes to your device.

HT5295 How do I get podcasts back into itunes in ios6?

I updated to IOS6 yesterday and found that podcasts had been removed from iTunes and put into the new Podcasts app. Having spent a day using this app, I have found it to be terrible: it's slow (podcasts take 10-20 seconds to start after I select them - and these are podcasts I've already downloaded, no streaming), the "next" button takes you to an older podcast rather than a newer one like in itunes, for some reason it decided I hadn't listened to about 40 podcasts that I had definitely listened to, the interface is unresponsive, etc. I went from having a pleasant podcast experience in IOS5 to a terrible one in IOS6. Does anyone know how to get podcasts back into iTunes, or if that's not possible, can anyone recommend a podcast app that works as smoothly as iTunes did in IOS5?

I've just now stumbled into this briar patch with my 4th Gen IPod Touch. Have only used it to date for music, and it's worked fine.
I would LOVE to add podcasts. I'm able to download them to my iTunes PC files, but the pre-loaded 'music' app doesn't seem to want to play them. I've downloaded the Podcast App, but it's for the IOS series 7.
There are a number of suggestions on line regarding how Apple had recognized this problem and had finally made previous versions available "underneath" the App Store Podcast icon . . . but nothing seems to work.
Did Apple turn around and remove the older Podcast App versions?
Does anyone know how to get Podcast functionality for a 4th gen IOS 6 series? This seems like a basic function for an iPod!

How do i get songs from my nano on to my library on itunes

i had to reinstall itunes but i kept all my music on my nano and i wanted to know how to get music off my nano and on to my library.

Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
However it appears that no playlists or any other info such as ratings/last played etc will transfer.
If this is important to you, you may want to use other options.
There's Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod to iTunes.

My nano completely emptied and I no longer have a podcast section, How can I get podcasts back?

This morning I was trying to sync my iPod and add new podcasts for my commute to work later. After plugging in my iPod my computer let me know that I had damaged files and gave me an option to scan them. I did scan, now my iPod is empty, which by itself is upseting not, I see that I am back to the 1.0.4 software and no long am able to support podcasts at all. Does any one know how I can get podcasts again?

Double check to make sure podcasts are configured to sync to your device from under the iPod's Podcast configuration tab.
To access the Podcasts tab for your iPod, plug your iPod in and click on it from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes. This will bring you to the Summary tab. Along the top you should see a Podcasts tab, so go ahead and click on it. Here you can configure how and what podcasts sync to your iPod.
If you do make any changes to do this tab, make sure to hit the Apply button in the lower right hand corner to apply the update changes to your device.
Otherwise, are you getting any error messages when you sync your iPod Classic with iTunes?
