How to get rid of deleted songs in music list?

I have many songs I don't want on my phone anymore. With ios7 it shows all the songs I have purchased on all my devices. Is there anyway to get rid of this because I have useless sound effects on my phone (I used them for a project) and songs I don't listen to anymore. This is bothering me and I can't just swipe and delete them like other songs. How can I remove them from the list?

Actually the music is still there just doesn't show the icloud logo. I can 't swipe and delete it either. Anyone know how to make it so it doesnt even come up?

Click on that and it goes away. Now if you can show me how to get rid of the reading list option and stop if from collecting links I accidentally put there, that would be something. lol

  • How to get rid of corrupted songs on itouch 5

    Itouch 5
    IOS 7
    Songs are put Manually
I downloaded some songs and there were two songs that didnt want to to download properly so I clicked on the little stop button next to the song on my itouch. From doing so, I think I must have messed it up and now I think they are corrupted. They dont play or anything. When playing it without shuffle, it stays on the corrupted song maybe for a second (no sound and it kinda glitches) and continues on with my music. I've tried to slide the song and delete it but it doesnt let me. I've also tried resetting my itouch but it still there. I was able to add those 2 songs and they work perfectly but I would like to get rid of the corrupted versions that are still stuck. How can I delete the songs without erasing all of my music?
    Thank you in advance!

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:

  • How to get rid of past songs from itunes match?

I recently had iTunes match, used it, wasn't satisfied. So I turned it off my phone... but the songs that I had once downloaded, are still there (kind of) you can't play them, but they show up like this: they show up like the "De La Soul" songs do. it also seems that since this, I've had sort of a tough time putting songs onto my iPhone.
    any help? thanks

These "ghost tracks" as I call them are a presistent, irritating bug that was supposed to be fixed in iOS 5.1. So if you haven't upgraded yet, do so and see if that fixes the problem. If not, then...
Connect your iPhone via USB and unselect "sync music" and sync. This will remove all the music on your iPhone. You may need to do it a couple of times, or more. Then see if the "ghost tracks" are gone.
If not, then try selecting the "manually manage music" option on the Summary pane and manually deleting the tracks, syncing again, and unselecting the "manually manage" option, then sync again.
If this does not work then you'll need to do a full OS restore, then restor from backup.

You have configured your track header and it´s showing two names. Right click on any track->configure track header->Names->untag the little box labeled "automatic names"->OK

I have a 3rd generation ipod that a friend gave me. I cannot find anything on how to get rid of his name and music on it. This is what the owners manual says:
"Select ipod nano in the soiurce list and click the summary tab" I cannot find the source or the summary tab on itunes. Can any one help me? Restore
Note: Because Restore erases all of the songs and files on iPod, make sure toback up any files you've saved on the iPod disk. All of your songs, videos, podcasts, audiobooks, and games can be loaded back to your iPod provided that you have them stored in your iTunes Library.
How to restore your iPod:For Windows:
    1. Make sure you've reinstalled the latest version of iTunes.
    2. Open iTunes, and then connect your iPod to your computer.
    3. After a few moments, it will appear in the source list in iTunes. If the iPod's display doesn't show "Connected" or "Do not disconnect" you may need to put the iPod into disk mode to proceed.
    4. Select your iPod in the source list and you will see information about it appear in the Summary tab of the main iTunes windows.
    5. Click the Restore button. You will be prompted with one or more restore options that may prompt iTunes to automatically download of the latest iPod Software. The 4 possible restore options are:
Restore Option 1: Restore - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod.
Restore Option 2: Use Same Version - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod even though a newer version is available.
Restore Option 3: Use Newest Version - Restores with the latest iPod Software on your computer.
Restore Option 4: Restore and Update - Restores with the latest iPod Software on your computer.
    6. A progress bar will appear on the computer screen indicating that the first stage of the restore process has started. When this stage is completed, iTunes will instruct you to leave iPod connected to your computer to complete restore.
    7. During the stage 2 of the restore process, the iPod will show an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remains connected to the computer or iPod Power adapter during this stage. Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see since the backlight on the iPod display may be off.
    8. After stage 2 of the restore process is complete and the iPod is connected to the computer, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear asking you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences similar to when you connected your iPod for the first time.
    For Mac:

I am Manually Deleting Songs from my Ipad2, but when I press Delete, it shows a Cloud with a Red Arrow pointing down, and the Song remains, how do I get rid of the Song completely?.

The cloud icon means that the songs are only in the cloud, they aren't stored on your iPad. You can turn off the showing of songs that are in the cloud via Settings > iTunes & App Store > Music (under the 'show all' heading) 'off'. If you want to some cloud songs to show but not all then you can hide the ones that you don't want via your computer's iTunes : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases

    Hi RadarCat16,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I know it can be frustrating when you are waiting for content to download to your iPhone from the iTunes Store. There are a few steps I would recommend in this situation. Please read over and follow the steps in the attached article.
iTunes: How to resume interrupted iTunes Store downloads
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1725
If your download was interrupted using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
From the Home screen, tap the iTunes app.
For iPhone or iPod touch, tap More > Downloads. For iPad, tap Downloads.
Enter your account name and password if prompted.
Tap the blue download arrow to resume.
If you can't complete the download on your iOS device, you can download it in iTunes on your Mac or PC and then sync it to your iOS device. You can also transfer purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer.
    Have a great day,
    Joe

  • How can I get rid of ghost songs in library?

I have deleted several songs/lectures from my computer, but they still show up as "ghosts" with a weird circular symbol to their left (see image attached) -- Itunes think they still exist, but they are no longer on my computer .  itunes won't allow me to click and delete them.  How can I get rid of them?

I tried to delete them like I would any song (select and hit the delete key) but they won't disappear.  I also searched for the file on my computer and it does not exist.  I don't know how to get rid of it.  The "stream" songs are all mixed in with my regular songs.

  • How to get rid of song on phone?

this sounds like the dumbest question, but I can't figure out how to get rid of a certain song on my phone.  It pops up on shuffle all the time, and I know I must have added it to a playlist at some point.
But I have a bunch of long playlists and I cannot find it in any of them!
How can I tell which playlist a certain song is on?
    Thanks
    Bob

OK -- so I actually called AppleCare about this.  I went through 30 minutes on the phone with the entry-level guy, and he couldn't help.  He actually wanted me to check 'manually manage music" and have iTunes wipe my phone, then I was going to have to reselect all my music!  And that would not have even fixed the problem, I know.  He was clueless but thankfully escalated me to a dude who solved this in 30 seconds.
I had to delete the song *from* the phone.  Went to the Music App, under More->Purchased, and swiped left on the song and then could delete it.
So, because I bought the song on the phone, and it wasn't in a playlist, I was not able to remove it from iTunes.  I had to do it on the phone.

  • When i sync my phone with itunes some of the songs always have the sync symbol next to them and are lighter than the others and i dont know how to get rid of them. help please

when i have synced my phone with itunes there are old songs that i dont want. these songs always have the sync sign next to them but i dont know how to get rid of them, i have event deleted them from my library, my computer and hidden them on i cloud. help please

    Settings/ Music/ Show All Music/ OFF
There is a parallel setting in Settings/ Videos/ which also includes Videos in the cloud, as well as Settings/ iTunes & App Store/ where you can set both Music and Video preferences.  But you only need to change a setting in one location.

  • When I try to buy something, I get an Apple-ID which is not the one I want to use, and I don't know how to get rid of it either, so that I can use my ID, which is in Mail, Contacts etc. The ID I get, I can't find, so that I can delete it. What to do?

When I try to buy something, I get an Apple-ID which is not the one I want to use, and I don't know how to get rid of it either, so that I can replace it with my ID in Mail, contacts etc. The ID I get without wanting it, I can't find anywhere. I have to delete it. How do I solve this problem, anyone?

My content was obtained through another ID, which popped up earlier. Now this one doesn't pop up, and my current ID doesn't pop up either, but another one. How do you find an ID which is not in the store, and not in Mail, contacts etc. either?
Or is it possible to write the ID yourself when you want to buy something, not only to have it popped up being unable to be changed?
