How to get rid of iCal Alias popup screen on reboot?

Every time I reboot my computer an iCal Alias pop up screen appears that is full of jumbled text like:

I always just X out of it.
What is this? Why is it suddenly appearing every time I reboot (it's been doing this for the last few months but never did it before that)?
Most importantly, how can I get rid of this permanently?
If it makes any difference I'm running a 2008 20" iMac with OS X 10.9.4 and Calendar v. 7.0.

That border is from Exposé with Show Desktop enabled (F11).

How to get rid of shadowed border around screen on MacBook Pro?

Just wondering if anyone knows how to get rid of this shadowed border on the screen of my macbook pro. I think my young daughter made it appear when she was striking various keys at random on my computer when I was not there. The cursor does not work when its over the shadow (i.e. will not depress the red 'x' button to exit a window and I have to drag window out from under shadow to close it).
It also appears in the middle of screen when airplay is turned on. (See screen shots below)
I have been unable to find any other discussion on this issue.

I recentley completed an update on the itunes store. And after it updated, I unplugged my ipod touch and then instead of seeing the lock screen, i see a screen with a usb cord with an arrow pointing to the itunes logo. And the problem is..i can't get rid of it. Please tell me how to get rid of it. Any tips of how to get my normal ipod back?

Qosmio G20: How to get rid of large, green on-screen volume display?

Hi,
I have a Qosmio G20 which i bought in Japan last year and have since changed it over to English operating system and drivers. However one thing ive noticed that is different from the Japanese set up is that everytime i adjust the Volume level using the wheel on the right hand side of the laptop, a large green Volume level display comes up on the screen. I want to get rid of this cos it takes up nearly half of the screen. The Japanese version didnt have this problem.
I checked all the settings in Control Panel and various Properties sections as well but couldnt find anything.
Any suggestions how to remove it? Any other Qosmio users have this on their screen?

OK, here's how the volume bar works in all Media Center (2004-2005) and how to change it :
Create a .txt file with the following :
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Media Center\VolumeDisplay]
"Disable"=dword:00000000
"FontSize"=dword:00000024
"Color"=dword:00ffffff
"Timeout"=dword:000003e8
Don't include the --------
Now here are what the settings do:
Disable: (enable or disable the volume bar)
- 00000000 (bar is shown)
- 00000001 (bar is hidden)
FontSize: (decide the font sized used to display the word "volume")
- 00000024 is font size 36 (it's hexadecimal value), for exemple 00000014 is fontsize 20, etc..
Color: (the color of the control bar and of the word "volume")
00ffffff corresponds to white, 00000000 corresponds to black. also hexadecimal.
If you want an easy way to find out, just check the color you want in HTML:
If HTML is #00AAFF for exemple, then you need to put value 00FFAA00, or for HTML #556677, the value will be 00776655
Timeout: (it represent the duration of displaying the volume bar)
000003e8 corrsponds to 1000 ms = 1 seconde. For exemple, 1,5 second is 000005dc, or 2 second is 000007d0
So replace accordingly the above with the value that you like, save as "bar.reg" then double click on it and reboot the PC!
Enjoy, it was quite a hassle to find those keys because they don't exist initially! (and because for each try, I must reboot.. :/ )

No there is no way to Mirror full screen from an iOS device to the Apple TV. iOS devices are not 16:9 like your HDTV so the mirrored image appears as the size your iOS device would be if it were the size of your TV. Hope that makes sense.

How to get rid of activation required popup on unlocked iPhone 4s?

I bought an iPhone 4s online around a month ago and got it in the post a few days after, I had bought it from America and I live in Ireland and when it got here it was locked only to the Sprint network. I got an e-mail a few days ago to say that the seller had been in contact with Sprint and they had unlocked it and all I needed to do was to restore it and then connect it to iTunes with my irish sim (48 is the one i have). This seemed to work as now i can see signal bars and the 48 icon in the left corner but then a few seconds after the it comes up activation required and I can't work it until I take the irish sim out. Does anyone know anyway I could resolve this? There's two photos below of the problem, thanks!

First Try a Restore from Backup... But... if the Large Other Persists, that is an Indicator of Corrupt Data in the Backup... Then a Restore as New is the way to go...

How to get rid of pop ups on screen??

I have a macbook pro and have had it for two years now. I have never had a virus or nothing wrong with it, since Ive had it.. I also download a fair bit of stuff, but recently i have noticed when i go onto the internet, (google chrome or safari) they both have pop ups on the right and left side and also down the bottom of the screen which is really annoying. The pop ups do have crosses on them which allows me to close them but they still pop up again and again once the page has reloaded. I also get heaps of pop ups coming up as seperate pages when I am surfing the net even though the pop up box is checked.. It is really annoying and affecting the internet.. I dont know what else to do? Please help!

On my lock screen the music keeps coming up instead of the clock. I have tried to double tab of the home button. It goes away but then the next time my phone is on lock again it is back to the music. Any way to keep the clock showing up?

Sounds like a key on the keyboard is stuck down. Does it disappear if you disconnect the keyboard?

I have recently setup an OS X 10.6.2 Server for our small office. I got the domain name wrong in the initial install and fixed this by doing a complete clean reinstall of OS X 10.6 server (then upgrade to 10.6.2).
The problem is that one of the OS X 10.6.2 clients had been setup to talk to the server prior to the rebuild. Now on this client, I cannot work out how to get rid of or change the automatically created server accounts in iCal and Mail - everytime you login, these are recreated using the old domain name (and of course don't work).
In Mail if you remove the server account (from Accounts in Preferences), it just pops back again. I even removed every trace of the old domain name from the apple.com.mail.plist file but when I re-open Mail that darned server account (with the old domain name) just pops up again.
In iCal its slightly different in that you can remove the account and it stays away while you have iCal open. But as soon as you close and re-open it, that server account just pops up again!
I thought it might be something to do with Kerberos and found a Kerberos file on the client which had the old domain name throughout it - I changed all these references to the new domain name, but still the same behaviour in Mail and iCal.
This is doing my head in. Any ideas?

I have the same problem. Every time that I open iCal on the client a new account is created and an error message shown that I cannot login. I can delete the wrong account in the iCal preferences. However, as soon as I restart, the account and the error message are back.
How do I "unbind" and "rebind" a client? I searched the "Mac OS X Server
Open Directory Administration Version 10.6 Snow Leopard" but the only reference to "binding" seems to be in the context of Active Directory which I don't have.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
